The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Oh josie that's a shame. Onto the shagging for next month asap? sleepycaz do you know when you ovulated? It ain't over til' it's over, so you've still got some hope. Hope you're bearing up :)

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 16:07

Ok so spotting is clutching at straws perhaps. I never spot and can feel ERTD cramps now, definitely start of next cycle for me. Sad but not too disappointed as I get to do it all again next month Grin and don't have to worry when riding tomorrow.

Will get DH on board and JSing as soon as possible now that he's agreed to give it his all Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 16:06

PS Sleepy the only look in you're getting with that plonk bottle is when it's empty, so you can pee in it (for another pee test obviously, not as a refill!) Grin.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 16:04

Boo Sad Josie. I think it's early enough to start on that bottle of plonk now, you first!

Nickle It's an NZ book and she sent it from NZ Grin (where I'm from). His house looks just like the one I grew up in and his Mum finishes the day with a glass of wine. Now that's my kinda woman (pig)! Grin

SleepyCaz · 17/09/2010 15:59

Josie only just seen your post. :(

When did it start? How much?

Sending hugs x

SleepyCaz · 17/09/2010 15:55

Hello Viroids.

AF is 2 days late and BFN.

AAAARGH!! :(

In other news....

AAARGH!!!

Grin
JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 15:52

Bad news girlies - I have started spotting Sad

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 14:57

i'd have to charge postage to Milan, milanomum Grin

but free postage to UK addresses Wink

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 14:50

NoMoreChoc - she must be in the business, then - that book's not out til January! lucky you! Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 14:39

How, how would I get through today without periodic bursts of PMSLing at you TTL?

Nickle I too am totally loving you and your bookshop. I am a bit book mad though. A book arrived from my sister for DS today, called Piggity-Wiggity Jiggity Jig. It's brilliant!
I have a sewing machine and am trying to use it to earn some extra money. I'm slightly over excited that some one has added one of my toddler duvets onto their ebay watch list, but I'd rather they put a bid in!

Am I babbling? I think maybe so. DS just fell asleep on the chair so I have the perfect excuse to hide inside where it's warm and I can be lazy. (lazy bliss face emoticon)

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 14:22

PMSL TTL!! Grin I think we'd get on really well in RL, would have a right laugh! Grin

Now stop riding and prodding your bosss and start riding your DH Wink

milanomum · 17/09/2010 14:17

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! oh TTL you are so wrong - you have the rare and wonderful skill of making people laugh out loud and spit tea all over their laptops :O

takethatlady · 17/09/2010 14:10

Wow, belly dancing and sewing! I am impressed. I have no skills!

I do, however, have serious boob-acheage today. Doesn't hurt when I prod them but it feels like they're growing.

Not to add too many embarrassing stories to this thread, but now I've started telling you them I seem to be unable to stop. And I'm still worrying about this one.

Have just left my old job, but I'm still having lingering involvement in it. Following yesterday's snot-ridden presentation at aforementioned old job one of my old bosses (prestigious historian) emailed me to say I should not send off the book proposal I had mentioned until one of the other bosses (prestigious historian #2, we'll call him Tom) had contacted his publisher.

He said something along the lines of, 'You might have to ride Tom quite hard to do this, but don't send it until you've prodded him'.

In a fit of 2ww mentalness (can that really be an excuse?) I emailed back 'I'll probably prod Tom rather than 'ride' him but thanks for the heads up! That sounds great.')

That's the JS influence on me ladies. When I get the sack from a job I'm no longer in, on the grounds that I am a pervert, I'm blaming you.

milanomum · 17/09/2010 13:56

oooooohhhh Nickel I just got muyself a sewing machine and I used to belly dance too but only got to the 2nd level and haven't had a hobby since dd was born 2 years ago :|

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 13:25

PMSL Truff, thanks for the incense! Grin I may have been imagining the ERTD signs though Hmm, nothing since.

I was reading the agony pages of a mag at lunchtime and someone asked how soon they could do a pg test Biscuit, then there was a full page advert for new mums on the back page Biscuit x 2

I won?t be on here from 5pm tonight and won?t likely get a chance on sat as it?ll be a long busy day and I?ll be exhausted when I get back, but if it hasn?t arrived by Sunday morning I promise I?ll be on here, after POAS of course!

BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 12:57

If you can share my 2ww mentalness harder you are welcome to live vicariously! Grin

Fingers crossed for tomorrow josie. You must come on and let us know asap!

Mad? Me, truffers?

I don't suppose there's any chance of a BFP on CD21/DPO9?! I've got a big dinner party bash tomorrow with a fridge full of nice wine Hmm

Morning viroids and thanks Nickle for your CV, am impressed with your dressmaking skillz and loving your work venture Smile

Josie am simply going to have to log on by phone tomorrow to see what your Saturday brings, am hearing your ERTD symptom news but chosing not to hear

NoMore not impressed with the early morning wake up call. I on the other hand was clearly too indulgent with myself this morning and fell back into a deep sleep when DH left for work, only to wake at 8.45, meaning I rushed around like a loony to get to work at a half decent time. I'm off this afternoon as well - oops!

Brassica step away from the madness, I appreciate this is easier said than done and reserve the right to not practice what I preach in the next 2 weeks but it will drive you curayzeeConfused

TakeThat serious comedy gold, as if the armchair manoeouvring wasn't enough, the tit flashing just sent me over the edge. I of course, have never been known to do anything even slightly embarrassing under the influence Biscuit

Happy Friday viraloids, mine starts officially in ooooh and hour Grin Grin Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 11:25

PMSL at you latching onto other viroids 2WW HTK

My DS is being soo cute right now. How could I not want another one!

Man I hate the 2WW before the 2WW. AF only just finished and I'm already bored. Think my brain is scrambled after waking up at just after 5 to hear my parents crashing around like a couple of elephants.

Ok putting the computer down and going off to eat hormone balancing licorice do some house work. Oh the excitment!

Might need another kipper slap by the end of the day!

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 11:19

HTK my 2ww is nearly over, today or tomorrow to be exact! ERTD usually arrives on the friday but has ocassionally arrived on the sat, though not since I stopped pill 3 months ago so we'll see. I'll be excited if it doesn't arrive today but will wait until tomorrow before POAS!

HarderToKidnap · 17/09/2010 11:09

Brassica, I am SO excited about your 2ww, I just can't wait to find out if you are pregnant!!

I think I have become addicted to 2ww adrenaline - as I am not in my own 2ww, I have to latch on to someone else's to get excited about.

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 11:08

Grin thanks!

apprarently it's useful for child-bearing.

there's a Youtube video somewhere of my teacher bellydancing her way through her contractions (she had to flip her son as he was back-to-front and she spent a couple of hours doing camels to turn him - it workd as well!)

BrassicaBabe · 17/09/2010 11:06

Nice resume nickle Grin Particularly impressed with the bellydancing!

nomore I'll join you in the not reading my more TTC mumbo-jumbo. Yesterday I rushed upstairs and peed on 2 OPKs after reading that OPKs work as pg tests too. Felt like I wasn't cheating because it wasn't actually a pg test Hmm (BFN of course at then 7DPO, doh)

NoMoreChoc - i think my boobs have got bigger recently - either that or my bras have shrunk.

and yes, perfume always makes me want to hurl - and scratch my eyes out with the stinging!

nickelbabe · 17/09/2010 10:53

Truffkin not ignoring, i go home at 6, so don't MN after that! (it's purely a work hobby! Grin)

your interrogation question:
"Welcome Nicklebabe and pray tell us your tale, how long and in what guise have you been actively tying to make babies just shagging? What is your tipple of choice? Do you have any interesting (read weird, crazy, entertaining!) hobbies?"

i got married in august, and we discussed what we would do after we married, so the first sex we had after the big day was with a condom (we only ever used condoms, because i didn't want to get back into the pill then find my body went all wacky and wouldn't behave after i stopped - plus i'm sure it made me a bit mardy), but then we did it without about 3 weeks ago (you sure you want this much detail?!) and talked again. it's very exciting "just seeing what might happen" - and when we did our nuclear shop, I picked up some folic acid (helpfully, so i didn't have to spell it out in the queue at the supermarket, the container says "MUM TO BE" in huge letters on the front!!) and he agreed!
my tipple of choice is normally lager, but i will drink anything, really.
if it's wine, it has to be chardonnay, because i don't like it sweet.
hobbies, yes, they are all quite weird and wacky! (especially combined...) I am in my church choir, so I love singing, I like to sew a bit (made my wedding dress, pics on profile), am a member of the WI, and I do bellydancing (am in a dance troupe called Hasna Bellydance and even danced a bit at the wedding). My biggest hobby is my job, as i don't yet get any money for it - i run a small children's bookshop (been open 2 years, so not yet making any money)

is that all TMI, or will that do? Grin
