The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Wow taking! Congratulations! More details please! What CD are you? Have you told DH?

The test was one from Wilko's, their own brand I think - Precision. The later BFN was a tesco one.

Keeping in line with the pg symptom and the RL likelyhood in brackets from a few days ago, I've got another two to add:
toothpaste tasted really odd/bitter last night (Cleaner has been using my toothbrush for something unspeakable) Grin
The lowlevel nausea is back (surrounded by food for tonight and slighly paniced by pg thought)

what???? Grin

takingtheplunge · 18/09/2010 14:21

OMG I'm pregnant!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 18/09/2010 13:49

Grin Brassica you silly bisim! Sounds very encouraging, but if that line appeared after 5 mins, then you're just going to have to wait a couple of days and test again.

So to quote the blue bit way up there (points up the page)

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Obviously in this instance you can change the birthday bit for a dinner party.

Grin
vallinnapod · 18/09/2010 13:32

Ohhh Brassica - if you do get on it tonight you probably get a BFP tomorrow to guilt trip you Grin

Not much news here...just lurking Smile

takethatlady · 18/09/2010 13:13

Grin for creating the dinner party vibe. We're going out to celebrate a friend handing her PhD in and she's countibg on me getting well and truly trolleyed.

Feel like crap after this cold and with the preg symptoms I had last month, so may do some sneaky spritzers instead. But we'll see ...

I'm really hopeful for you brassica. Sounds like there's a strong chance!

BrassicaBabe · 18/09/2010 13:03

Thanks taketaht, harder

I know it doesn't mean much. PO-another-S and BFN of course. (Note to self, stop peeing on things!)

Right, got a bleedy dinner party to prepare for. Going for a knobbish-relaxed tone this evening as looking to impress casual aquaintences. In that "What? Nice wine? We always drink 2001 chateauneuf du pape" Grin

Need something to take my mind off things. Not telling DH as tonight might be last decent night on the wine!

Done any more tests brassica? My boobs ache like crazy but I just did a test and BFN. Still early though.

What brand were the tests btw? I find Tesco's the best for showing up early, and they're £3.60 for 2 Grin

HarderToKidnap · 18/09/2010 12:27

OMG Brass, I feel SICK. Aaaarrrrrgghh!!! excited squeal Ok calm down, breathe, breathe.

You know what you have to do. Forget this positive test. Test again tomorrow.

takethatlady · 18/09/2010 10:27

Right, brassica, after I've slapped you with a ginormous kipper I have two things to say to you.

  1. Peeonastick.com, which has become my friend since I have managed to produce a total rainbow of preg test results, will tell you that any positive result gained after the time specified on the test is NOT a positive.
  1. Last month, when I definitely was pregnant because Clear Blue digi eventually told me I was, and because I ended up getting very stark positives within the time frame, I began by getting pink lines after I was meant to.

All of this makes me think, cautiously, that if it's very early (and you are testing very early, hence the kipper!) you may get a BFP after the specified time limit. The only way to know for sure is to get a more sensitive test, or to test again in a couple of days.

Big fingers crossed for you.

Btw, you can slap me back. I have a ramekin of piss sitting on my bathroom shelf, and I'm off out to buy the sticks to dunk in it Grin

BrassicaBabe · 18/09/2010 10:18

Self centred post alert (I've not read any of the recent posts)

I've got a "pink line" confusion. I refuse to use the 3 letter acronymn yet.

I bought 2 cheapy tests this week. Yesterday I PIAR with one, BFN of course at 8DPO.

This morning I got up at 630 when DH went to work. PIAR, put it on the windowsil (the stick, not the ramekin Grin) set the timer on my phone for 5 mins and checked the stick. BFN. No big deal, went back to bed.

Got up at 0930, stick still on the windowsill, and I've got a pink line. It was in the windowsill in the sun?

I got the yesterday's stick out of the drawer. (I don't throw them away incase DH spots things in the bin. So I stick my addiction the old sticks in a drawer and throw them away en masse.) Anyway, yesterday's stick was still a massive BFN.

Thoughts.

TALK TO ME VIROIDS!!

Grump. Grump grump grump.

For all that excitement, the JS was rubbush, DH and I had a massive argument about it and are still not speaking properly. Shock

It wasn't meant to happen like this!

For that reason my favourite film would be Mary Poppins - cos there is no JSing at all!!!!

Off to work hard all day, cleaning a rental flat ready for next tenant. That'll be fun, when the pair of us aren't communicating....

Does anyone else get in such a strop and sulk, that you can't actually work out how to stop and get back to normal? I'm bored with the sulking now!! Confused

nickelbabe · 18/09/2010 10:02

morning, everyone! Grin

i'm not allowed to advertise, milanomum, but if you google children's bookshops in sittingbourne, you'll find me (name should be obvious!) Blush

NoMore - i haven't done a dance just for DH, i'd be far too self-conscious for that! but he has seen me perform a couple of times - i joined in with my troupe at the wedding for one dance. Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 18/09/2010 09:43

Milano on ebay here and here. I've only recently started hence the lack of variety. Many years ago I used to make sleeping bags in a factory and figured I should use those skills to try and make some money from home. Also I had a b!tch of a time finding a decent cover for my son who is in a junior bed. The way my son wriggles in his sleep, I really can't promise an anti-wriggling guarantee Grin

Can't think of any decent JSing in movies of hand, but I can vouch for the fact the sex on the beach isn't that great ... Blush
Haven't yet managed to convince DS to join the mile high club (spoil sport face)

takethatlady · 18/09/2010 09:24

Hmm haven't seen much JSing in films recently but did see The Good Girl with Jennifer Aniston. Film not great but Jake Gyllenhaal was D.Esperate to JS Jen and when he did he was H.O.T.

Wild, sneaky, motel/backroom sex it is :)

milanomum · 17/09/2010 20:53

josie feckin AF...

miffles your sitting room sounds loverly - you just need a big sheepskin rug to get that film scene going Wink
will get back to you on the js-ing in films (good question by the way) - I've seen too many cartoons recently.

nomore you MAKE toddlers' duvets??!! How do I get myself one on those (and do they come with a wriggle-resistant guarantee :) )?

nickel postage to Milan isn't THAT expensive

Have you got a website?

Miffles · 17/09/2010 20:22

Oh, and takethat - yes I have been around and about for ages. Felt bad that could never keep up with daily postings, but you guys make me laugh so much I felt I had to join in the fun. Felt like the plain girl watching all the popular girls at the school disco dancing round a handbag. I wanted to join in! Ok....Hmm no idea where that just came from. Did I say it was a large glass of wine I was drinking?!

And HTK - so funny that you're a midwife and can't find your cervix!! Grin There is hope for the rest of us!

Miffles · 17/09/2010 20:17

Evening all viroids,

Bad luck on AF getting you, Josie - at least you have lots of friends to keep you company and distracted over the next cycle.

Brassica - no real chance of BFP - and that means if you are pg, it's not imbedded, which means your fridge full of wine is meant for you! :) Who's the party for?

Nickel - belly dancing. wow! Have you done a performance for you DH? I took it up before my wedding, planning to stun him on honeymoon. Never plucked up the courage tho.

I'm sitting enjoying a large glass of red after the weeks work. We have recently done our sitting room, and pulled out the old gas fire and had the chimney swept. Tonight is the first log fire and it is luurvly!! DH and I sat for ages staring at the flames and hearing the crackle. Might try some JSing in front of it - though since we have wood floors and no rugs, not sure how practical that would be. Hmm Why does it always look amazing on films?

Ok - question - what JSing have you seen on movies that you'd really like to recreate? Or that you have re-created?!

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 16:38

To be on the safe side SleepyCaz you should JS as often as possible just in case! GrinGrin

SleepyCaz · 17/09/2010 16:36

I have a really irregular cycle so am just guessing at day 14 and JS-ing on and around that. Stoopid I know.

AF bound to be round the corner with silly methods like that.

takethatlady · 17/09/2010 16:30

Grin nomore

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 17/09/2010 16:19

Dear Sister.

Thank you for the Piggity-Wiggity Book. DS hasn't even seen it yet, but already it's a huge hit with my JSing buddies. Please send half a dozen more copies for Nickle to sell in her store before the UK release date. Please also send lots of wine so we can practice being like Piggity's Mum.

Cheers, NoMoreChocBikkies x

Nah my sister won't think I'm an alcoholic swinger. Grin

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 16:18

Definitely TTL! At least I know things are working properly down there Blush

takethatlady · 17/09/2010 16:11

Btw, that Piggity-wiggity book sounds right up all our streets - the mum drinks wine and the title sounds like a euphemism for JSing! Sounds great!
