Symptom spotting part 2 - Home of the suspicious boobs and other strange goings on!

Welcome to our new thread where everyone's welcome. Sit back with your favourite drink and get all those 'suspicious' symptoms off your chest including the ever popular suspicious boob (sb).

If you're squeamish this may not be the thread for you, as this thread is dedicated to those with strange goings on where no symptom is TMI.

Good luck to us all for that elusive BFP to arrive soon. Who'll be the first to get one?

So sorry to hear of all the BFNs especially yours Assassin . As I was reading the last couple of days posts I was convinced you were going to get a BFP. I think I'd have been happier you getting it than me! Don't get me wrong I'm desperate to have another but you've just been through so much and for so long I really really wanted it to be your month!

Just a quick update about me: I'm trying to stay away from here for a bit because I'm trying to pretend I'm still on the 2ww!! If I'm not pregnant I'll be very surprised because of my symptoms but I'm so trying not to get my hopes up!!

Symptoms are;

  • Feeling very sick for the past week or so
  • Can feel my appendix and section scars pulling as if tummy's stretching (got same with appendix scar with ds)
  • Just feeling pregnant
  • Nipples very sticky out, enlarged, sore and sensitive
  • DS pointing at my tummy again saying "Baby, baby"!
  • Extremely tired all the time

I'm now a week past af due date but won't test until I'm either 100% sure or next weds (14th) I'm trying to hold out til 21st if I can. I cannot cope with a bfn this month so would rather wait for af or until there's absolutely no way it could be anything but a bfp.

Good luck everyone. I'll be reading the threads over the next week or two but probably not posting so please don't think I'm being ignorant (just trying to avoid the overpowering urge to test!). Lots of love and baby dust to all.

PS Row how's everything going?

OP posts:
AuntFlosAssassin · 12/09/2010 22:18

Thats exactly how im feeling arthursmum,at least if af shows up we can start concentrating on next cycle.

Row i used a first response. ive still got one left, maybe next month it'll give me the result i want--thats if af hurry up and arrives, really hope its not gonna be a really long cycle. Did your hsg mess your cycle up? im wondering if it has delayed ov or something

row78 · 12/09/2010 21:57

A big booooooooooo for all BFNs

assassin - which brand did you use this time?

arthursmum · 12/09/2010 16:36

Did one yesterday assassin and it came up negative. Been feeling rough all day today with period pains in waves and also a lot of feeling sick. I know I am not pg so am now getting riled that AF just hasn't arrived. If it did I could get on and buy a fertility monitor and start trying again.

AuntFlosAssassin · 12/09/2010 15:57

Thanks arthursmum Smile

Grin at your smearing yourself Boudicea like in your DHs blood. But your right, there is no way men can understand what we go through, even though they may try-its our bodies after all.

Have you decided yet when to test?

arthursmum · 12/09/2010 12:36

So sorry munki and assassin - I am still waiting for the crimson tide, despite having had vile period pains all week, which seem to be getting worse and worse.

assassin - getting a BFN is bad enough, but doing DIY on top of it? No wonder you are feeling grumpy. The mood I was in yesterday all it would have taken was my DH being a tiny bit mean and I would have ripped his head off and smeared myself Boudicea like in his still warm blood. Actually, that still may happen today considering I am still feeling borderline psychotic!

It is all so sodding unfair - but I am finding the support on this thread a bit of a lifeline - much as I love DH, he just cannot understand the yearning and disappointment when we discover we are not pregnant - thanks everyone on here.

AuntFlosAssassin · 12/09/2010 11:34

Sorry haven't been back on everyone, had to go pick dp up from the airport yest right after i tested and then we were building a garage that we bought for ds,the bloody thing took hours im not kidding.

Anyway back to the test-it was bfn Sad.cant believe it, was so convinced it was gonna be bfp. oh i could cry, ended up being so grumpy yesterday. af has still not arrived so i guess that hsg i had must be messing my cycle up a bit.fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck

Sorry that bastard of a witch showed up munki.

bossyboop · 12/09/2010 10:34

no news yet?! Im heading for the 2ww I think, not counting the days but had a bit of the stretchy stuff so has to be around that time so making the most of it Smile

row78 · 12/09/2010 10:19

sorry the witch got you munki, have a big glass of wine tonight

assassin, what are you doing? Get back here and tell us what the test said Smile

munki · 12/09/2010 09:39

assassin wow sounds very positive, all those symptoms you describe I have had in early pregnancy (and you can't imagine getting up to wee!)

I am def out, the auld witch turned up yesterday, pah.

bossyboop · 11/09/2010 14:34

my god I am so excited and really really really really really hope you get a bfp assassin!

arthursmum · 11/09/2010 13:04

Damn, logged on too late. BFN i'm afraid, and I am not helping matters by having just eaten my own body weight in brie.

Problem with the cycle thing is that mine is completely unpredictable. Last period started 06/08 but before that is was about six weeks, and before that it was non-existent.

assassin you are a legend, and I am in awe of your self control. I am sending positive thoughts winging your way!

Right, what else have I got in the fridge....

row78 · 11/09/2010 12:07

hurry up assassin! How have you the will power to not test when I have no patience to wait for you to do it? Fingers crossed!

yep arthuer what CD are you and what is your usual cycle length? Then I'll consiser a talk down Smile

AuntFlosAssassin · 11/09/2010 10:51

Arthur what cd are you on? Would it be totally unreasonable for you to test?

Im going round to boots in about a half an hour to buy a test. I was up practically every hour last nite going for a wee (practically bursting each time) and i have been feeling a bit sick in the stomach all morning (kinda like hangoverish) but i did not touch a drop last nite.as a matter of fact i havent had a drink since 14th august lol
I also still have a crampy stomach and im convinced my boobs are starting to hurt a tiny bit Confused

arthursmum · 11/09/2010 09:29

Need help from thread chums - cannot resist urge to test despite having loads of period pains and feeling due on - talk me down team!

AuntFlosAssassin · 10/09/2010 19:21

Thanks girls,you are so nice.

Im trying not to think about it or torture myself.what will be will be and if it was a very faint positive last night then it will do no harm to wait a few more days and clarify things properly. Haha im starting to wonder am i actually starting to believe my own pep talks Grin.

Happy thoughts all round tonite Bossy.got the back up plan to watch on dvd and just ordered a chinese. Dp will be back tomorrow afternoon so trying to make the most of the me time i get once ds is in bed, though i have to admit i am really missing dp and he has only been gone since 4.30 yesterday lol absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that lol

Arthursmum i was googling for pictures of faint positive tests and one came up with an insertion beside it saying it was a false positive and then went on to compare cb and fr tests saying fr positives are more reliable.have no idea if any of the shite i am reading online is true but im not gonna take the chance.sort of have an emotional attachment to cbs though cause i got a +ve when preg with ds on one and have gotten nothing but -ves with fr so slightly dont like them, though always used them in the past cause boots always have them on offer (cheap skate that i am) Grin

its also nice to know im not alone in the madness Smile

bossyboop · 10/09/2010 18:57

good to see you back, been keeping an eye on the thread. I bow down to your restraint, I really couldnt be that sensible and wait to test but I just like disappointing myself. Got everything crossed for you but legs Grin Keep thinking happy thoughts!

arthursmum · 10/09/2010 18:48

I totally understand assassin - and thanks for the heads up on clearblue, I didn't know that about the dye. Take your time and only test when you feel ready for it, I know how completely crushing getting a BFN is - but you are definitely not going mad - although longing for a baby feels a lot like it sometimes... keep in touch, and don't lose heart.

AuntFlosAssassin · 10/09/2010 17:54

Hi all,

Bossy and Arthursmum sorry to disappoint but i didnt get another test. I was considering getting one when i was in tescos earlier doing my shopping but am glad i didnt as i bumped into dps sister and she def would have noticed it in my trolley!! I will buy another one tomorrow (cd30) if af does not show up and i will do it on sunday with fmu. Im going to buy a first response cause clearblue have a reputation for false positives cause of the blue dye they use apparantly (was googling this earlier,as if you couldnt tell lol) and the one i used yesterday was CB. I honestly am starting to think i am going mad!!!!

arthursmum · 10/09/2010 11:17

has been, not have been, sorry!

arthursmum · 10/09/2010 11:17

(arthursmum emerges from bedroom where she have been writing angst poetry and filling bra cups with tissues to say - I'm with bossy on this one - get another test, rather than torture yourself with the current one!

I really appreciate the feeling of wanting it so badly, you are not alone, let us know how you get on...

bossyboop · 10/09/2010 11:07

omg you need to get another test, I demand you go and get some right now!

AuntFlosAssassin · 10/09/2010 09:22

Welcome Daisy, Choccie, Munki, King and Pippa Smile

Jazz hope you are having a good holiday and come back to some good news.

Row i dont think the light pink bleed should be too much to worry about. I too had bleeding in early preg,it was bright red and was only there once and i panicked and rang the epu. they said try not to worry, put a pad on to monitor the amount of bleeding, and if it didnt stop to come back to them. thankfully it stopped, but i still dont know what it was.hth Smile

pmsl at arthurs post Grin. Did you get yelled at for having your music on too loud and get grounded for a week?? Grin

How are you doing Bossy>

I have a confession to make-i tested last night. I thought i could see a really faint positive but the line was so faint its practically non-existant and tbh im not sure if im imagining it Confused. Cant even get dp to look at it for me as he is away visiting his friend in wales until tomorrow. still have the test sitting in the bathroom and keep looking at it to check but i dont know if my eyes are playing tricks on me!! I feel a bit mad lol

I have feelings in my pelvic area that remind me so much of being pregnant and this is the first time ive ever really felt these while ive been ttc number 2.The only way i can describe it is that it feels like my pelvis is being pumped full of air,esp when im lying down (kind of reminds me of why i had to sleep with a pillow under my bump when i was pregnant with ds). Also was running to the toilet all day yesterday and constantly feel like i could go.my boobs def feel fuller but they dont look any different to me,and sometimes they go like this before af. cramps are still present, though are on and off and vary in intensity.
I dont know whether i am imagining all this because i want it so badly and have been trying so long, and am hoping the hsg i had has worked a miracle Sad

oh dear i sound a right doom and gloom today Blush

munki · 10/09/2010 06:30

Hello all, daisy SPD like symptoms were what I had in my last pregnancy so fingers crossed for you.

I think I'm out for this month, all cm has gone, since we're on the subject of cervixes I feel I can tell you mine has gone really low from being so high as to be non-existent a couple of days ago, and this morning my temp (am charting) is through the floor - for those not au fait with the lore of charting this means AF about to start. Bummer. Will be drinking lots this weekend to make up...

allthatjazz · 09/09/2010 23:04

Hi everyone, I like arthursmum am fairly new so I'll join her in welcoming daisy and choccie. Am glad people have come back to this thread I thought I killed it with my large chunks of late night tmi! Sadly I have no advice as my body is clearly having a mad moment. daisy my pelvis feels like when I had spd, it didnt register that it is the same pain until I read your post. Does anyone know what this means? Is it common to feel the symptoms more at night? Hope all are well :)
