Welcome to our new thread where everyone's welcome. Sit back with your favourite drink and get all those 'suspicious' symptoms off your chest including the ever popular suspicious boob (sb).

If you're squeamish this may not be the thread for you, as this thread is dedicated to those with strange goings on where no symptom is TMI.

Good luck to us all for that elusive BFP to arrive soon. Who'll be the first to get one?

Great thread - I haven't posted for a while, since last MC but I am so excited because I am sure I am p!! and interuterine this time

Got jiggy when there was ff - and stood on my head afterwards!! (Worked with dd - now 4)

Symptoms - slight spotting (probably implantation) 3 days before due fading to straw colour. (Had with dd) Overdue by couple of days now

Tender boobs
heavy sensation in stomach (did not get with ectopics)
Calm happy mood interspersed with crotchetiness (not stressed and gloomy as with PMT)

Shall do test today - & if positive, I'll be posting & then straight to EPU - see history below:

TTC since 2008

3 MCs ( 2 in first 5 wks - one at 11 wks)

  • 3 ectopics 1 precious dd - aged 4 (2006)

Sleeping on my front! Not as thrilling as wine I know but the memories of trying to get to sleep on my left side spending most of the night moving pillows round yawn yawn, making the most of snuggling down on my front while I can. Im full of cold so a bit of vapour rub is my luxury right now! Cant remember who was on about the decaf teabags but ive made the switch and they are nice, ive given some decaf cuppas to some unsuspecting people and they never noticed!

arthursmum · 23/09/2010 19:18

Mmm stinky cheese, I love it - maybe we should be listing the stuff we can enjoy while we are still not pg...

munki · 23/09/2010 15:16

arthurs that is so crap, I hope you can get some answers from the doc. why do our bodies do these things? just to mess with our minds, i reckon.

i've had a suspicious boob event - my right boob just started hurting like hell all down one side, for about a minute, then stopped. love it - i haven't even ovulated yet and i'm still 'having symptoms'!

bossyboop i'm kind of assuming that i won't be drinking at christmas but at the same time planning on drowning my sorrows in a big way if i'm not pg by then... (in fact that will be my way of consoling myself - that and loads and loads of stilton and brie and pate!)

bossyboop · 23/09/2010 14:12

Oh yay christmas! Im nearly finished my shopping, thats right nearly finished! Hoping to save a few quid this year by not having to buy myself any wine, hopefully wont be allowed any this year Smile

arthursmum · 23/09/2010 12:53

Thanks assassin - I knew you would understand! Good luck starting the ovulation tests, I am really hoping you get the green light!

As for Christmas, you are not the only one, I made a list yesterday!

AuntFlosAssassin · 23/09/2010 10:36

oh arthurs my heart goes out to you, its so awful when af goes awol but not for the reason you want. I would def go back to your gp-maybe ask for the day 3 and day 21 blood tests to check progesterone levels.

Welcome to the madness Banana Grin

munki if you are an eejit then we are all eejits!! lol seriously though, this ttc malarky is tough going.
As for your brown cm, maybe your bodys just having a good clearout after being on the pill? I cant remember what mine was like after coming off the pill it was that long ago lol

cd9 for me and i think i might start the ov tests tomorrow, just in case.

I am sitting here making lists of christmas presents i need to get lol yes, i am one of those people that loooooove christmas and im so organised when it comes to presents Grin and as i get paid monthly i find it easier to start in september so that im not completely skint come christmas time. I know that alot of people are probably cringing at the thought of me mentioning christmas in SEPTEMBER!!! Shock Grin (sticks out tongue emoticon)

arthursmum · 23/09/2010 10:15

Morning all, hope everyone is doing well - welcome to Banana - and I too thought i was going to be all chilled out about ttc as well!

Just a quick update, I am on Day 47!!! Still no AF, haven't tested again since last time, might do another on Saturday, which will be Day 50. Had a weird old thing yesterday when I was convinced AF was about to start, womb and uterus felt incredibly heavy and hard to the touch (feeling behind stomach fat) - even DH thought it felt really hard.

I am thinking about going back to the doc's because if my cycle is going to be this long every time then how the frig am I meant to even have a stab at guessing when I am ovulating - if indeed I am.

Feeling a bit down about it all.

BananaGio · 23/09/2010 09:04

Can I join in? TTC 2nd at the moment. This is the first month off trying, think am about 6DPO. Started this month thinking, well if it's meant to be it'll happen, am not going to stress, think about it etc etc. Ha!!! Am sitting here frantically googling early pregnancy symptoms. So far am knackered (but always am), weeing a lot and feel full.....

munki · 22/09/2010 19:19

Aww, thanks for your kind messages arthurs and assassin. I am an eejit though and I don't deserve it! Am CD 12 today, had loads of EWCM but - TMI alert - tinged brown. Have had this since coming off the pill (first couple of cycles off it actually had loads and loads of brown CM for about ten days after AF - thank god that's now stopped!) - would that be a problem do you think?

Anyway we have been managing to, er, do the deed quite a lot lately - my tip is to just do it, I find the more we do the more we want to if you see what I mean... Though it is just for seven days a month, then I start getting really hormonal and narky and we just get grumpy with each other... Poor DH...

bossyboop · 22/09/2010 09:21

Booking a 'date' is good too, something to look forward to all day, send the odd text, really helps.

Ive been so naughty lately putting dd to bed early but its all in a good cause and she would love a sister! Just hope this keeps up, dont know if its because im off the pill or whether its the ttc thats got my drive back but either way I like it!

Im also doing well not doing any premature testing!

arthursmum · 21/09/2010 16:28

Sorry for typing DS instead of DD munki - these 6am starts are getting to me!

Good luck with the ovulation tests assassin - I will keep my fingers crossed and if we don't hear from you in a few days time we will assume you are otherwise occupied!

Good idea boop! Although the last time I tried this I came downstairs all trussed up and feeling fruity and my husband gave me one look and said 'I need to stack the dishwasher'. And they say the romance dies after a few years...

bossyboop · 21/09/2010 13:23

Im on CD23 I think so no doubt this time next week I will be sat here with AF. Was starting to have some doubts about ttc thinking maybe it was time for me to take steps to launch a career but I think having a baby is right for us now, despite the urge to sell all of DD's old clothes and toys!

Tell you what though ladies ive stocked up on some new naughty underwear and it is certainly good motivation to get on with ttc and tbh its turned it from being something we must do to something we cant wait to do - totally recommend it!

AuntFlosAssassin · 21/09/2010 11:23

im with you arthurs on the struggling to find time & energy! dp has a job which is really physical and i am just always knackered when i get home that half the time i couldnt be annoyed doing anything.

munki so sorry your feeling so low-i second what arthurs said though, it is completely normal to feel like this, esp if youve fallen so quickly before. my ds is 3 tomorrow and we didnt want such a big age gap between him and another dc but things just havnt worked out the way we wanted. we started ttc#2 when ds was 9 months old and now im just hoping that we will have another dc before he turns 4.

arthurs its such a pain in the arse when af doesnt show up yet tests are bfn, its so hard to keep yourself motivated.

how is everyone else doing? im on cd7 at the minute so am going to start the ov tests in a few days, hopefully we see a positive this month

arthursmum · 20/09/2010 13:41

Sorry munki - didn't see your post until after I added mine.

Sorry you are feeling so down, the length of time you have been trying is unimportant, its the need and desire that drives you on. You are not being selfish or insensitive, but I totally understand where you are coming from re: DD needing sibling and waiting too long. I was in floods of tears two weeks ago when DS started school, I felt completely bereft and when I saw him playing by himself I totally blamed myself for making him an only child. Since then I have had visions of him not getting on with others and plenty of tears. On the other hand though, and I hope its the same with your DS, we have a unique, special bond with each other which has been a huge source of joy for me.

Keep you chin up, and come back and chat if you need sympathy or cheering up.

arthursmum · 20/09/2010 13:35

Sorry assassin - being a feeble minded twonk is another symptom! I would have been less concerned by what the doctor said if he didn't have a photo of his wife and their two children on his desk. Had to fight urge to ask why he had two kids then.

I tested last Saturday and got a BFN - got that cling to hope/find out and move out dilemma going on at the mo. Mind you, someone told me (and I am not sure I believe them) but apparently you have to do it to make a baby. I told DH and he was shocked and surprised.

Seriously, does anyone else struggle to find the time/energy/urge/not reading an interesting enough book in bed to make rumpy?

munki · 20/09/2010 13:34

Hi all, sorry not been around for a while, am trying really hard not to start obsessing about TTC - fat chance!

Am finding it all a bit difficult tbh - I really have no right to at all, we're only on month 3 of ttc, we've already got a gorgeous dd, but I'm starting to panic about how long this is going to take/whether we're going to be able to conceive another baby. bossyboop I can really relate to you, I'm already thinking about when we should give up. Ridiculous, I know, but I foolishly opened a thread on difficulties of conceiving no. 2 and I'm really worried it's not going to happen for us. The first two times I conceived (one of which was a mc) it happened the first month of trying so I don't understand why it hasn't happened yet.

I know, I'm being really insensitive and selfish - I know I'm so, so lucky to have had one healthy baby, she just badly needs a sibling and I feel like we've selfishly waited too long to try for another, and now maybe it's too late. I just feel really guilty, all dd's friends have siblings and I worry that she's lonely.

Sorry to moan on at you all! Blame my hormones, I just seem to have PMT all the time since coming off the pill in March (or maybe I'm just naturally a grumpy cow and the pill made me slightly normal...)

Underthetrees congratulations on your BFP, fab news!

AuntFlosAssassin · 20/09/2010 13:21

hi everyone,

arthurs i think your getting me confused with radley-it was me the consultant said that to on Friday. i agree that the desire for another child is completely instinctive and we will go as far as we need to. cant believe your doc said that to you-he obv doesnt like children much!!
BTW have you tested yet???

rad sorry your in limbo-bloody stupid af and stupid womens bodies arrrrggggghhhhh

big congrats to underthetrees Smile

arthursmum · 20/09/2010 11:05

Further symptoms update - backache, period pain tummy ache, random nausea, clumpy brownish tinged pant snot first thing in morning then nothing all the rest of the day. Charming.

arthursmum · 20/09/2010 11:03

Oh radley - you are singing my song sister! Am trying to resist taking another test as know it will be a bfn - but its impossible to know whats going on with our bodies at the minute - I feel your pain!

AddictedToRadley · 20/09/2010 09:16

Still 'feel' pregnant with more symptoms by the day and af 2 weeks late but bfn Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

arthursmum · 20/09/2010 06:43

Congratulations underthetrees - wonderful news!

Underthetrees · 19/09/2010 17:05

Yes indeedy I'm preggers. Talk about a surprise! I've been living in a land of 'not thinking about it' in case I jinxed it. Better start thinking about it then!

arthursmum · 19/09/2010 08:33

Underthetrees welcome to the thread! To test or not to test, that is the question... I think we tend to fall into two camps, the take the test and deal with the crushing disappointment crew, or the leave it until AF starts so tiny glimmer of hope lasts. Your symptoms sound pretty positive, massive and sore boobs were my first clue when I was pg with DS...

Radley it seems like you are really going through the mill at the moment, you must be exhausted and feeling pretty drained by it all - its interesting that the consultant asked how far you are prepared to go - its such a strange question and reminded me of my doctor when I was talking about ttc. He said 'After what happened before why on earth would you want to go through it again?' I was dumbfounded! Whether your first child's birth and/or pregnancy was easy or difficult has absolutely no bearing on whether you would like another baby - I can only put down the desire for another child as completely instinctive and beyond all reason.

Keep us up to date with whats happening, you are in my thoughts - and love to everyone else as well.

Oh, further update on me, its Day 44 and no AF, am obsessively checking knickers at an alarming rate - come on you witch, put me out of my misery!!!

Underthetrees · 17/09/2010 23:40

Hello! Complete newbie here. I'm TTC#1 and have had a week of

  • massive and sore boobs
  • mini-cramps Really I'm thinking it's just a one-week delay on AF but secretly I'm hoping it's something else... When do you take a test?
