Welcome to our new thread where everyone's welcome. Sit back with your favourite drink and get all those 'suspicious' symptoms off your chest including the ever popular suspicious boob (sb).

If you're squeamish this may not be the thread for you, as this thread is dedicated to those with strange goings on where no symptom is TMI.

Good luck to us all for that elusive BFP to arrive soon. Who'll be the first to get one?

My boobs are no longer super sensitive :( at times they felt like someone was shoving red hot knitting needles into the nipples (ouch) but now, nothing. Tummy cramping is still ongoing, so now I'm sure AF is going to appear at the weekend. Also got spots erupting all over the place. Ah well - sigh.

AddictedToRadley · 06/09/2010 01:14

Sorry posted before I'd finished Grin

Thank you everyone who's wished Shelley and I luck for our special days. Even if I don't get mine I don't mind as baby will still have an important connection to Grandad by having his name. I'm sure my dad is watching my ds as ever since the day dad died ds looks into a corner of the room (dad died in bed directly above where ds looks) and talks to the wall but only ever that wall. Also we have a few pictures in the room of dad and he points to them and says 'Andad' even nobody has ever told him that's Grandad! Oh and whenever we take pictures of ds with that part of the wall in the background there's always a circle (some people call them orbs I think) around ds but never there if ds is not in the picture! I like to think my dad is looking after ds, it comforts me to think that.

Wow Row massive congrats. I'm so excited this new thread seems to be working. Let's hope all the regulars from previous thread and those new to this one get the elusive BFP soon, hopefully before, say, page 10!

Assasin I'm hoping and keeping my fingers crossed for you it does sound very promising.

Thanks Assasin everyone seems to think I'm not being unreasonable to want Tesco to withdraw the toy whilst they investigate not after! Feel a little better knowing that!

Pozzled I have to agree with Assasin about the BFN being so much worse than AF coming. Try to resist as long as you can.

My latest symptoms are quite numerous but the most obvious ones are:

  • Feeling and being very sick but not like when you have a tummy bug ie as soon as I'm sick I feel better
  • My DS pointing at my tummy (just like before when I had the bfp) saying "Baby". Funny thing is though I asked how baby got in mummy's tummy and he said "Yum yum" and rubbed his belly! Bless him, he thinks mummy's got a baby in her belly because I ate it!! Grin That'll take some explaining!!

AuntFlosAssassin · 05/09/2010 21:16

Hi pozzled,my af is due on 11th as well (normally 30 day cycle but can vary on occasions).
I think holding off on the test is wise,as i def find it much more disappointing getting a bfn than af. Im determined not to test until i am certain it will be a bfp.

pozzled · 05/09/2010 21:12

Hi all and congrats to those who have their BFPs!

Haven't posted in TTC before but would like to come and join you. I have a DD (2.1). This is my first month of TTC no2, AF due on the 11th sep. But have come straight off the pill so I don't know whether my cycle will be normal this month or take a while to settle?

Anyhow, I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up. Have felt quite queasy the last three evenings. Also pretty tired (but that's not unusual). Had some mild aches and pains earlier on in my cycle but nothing at the moment. I have a test sitting in my bathroom cabinet from ages ago and am determined to resist the urge to test.

AuntFlosAssassin · 05/09/2010 20:28

oh row that it great news!!!!! huuuuuge congratulations!!!!!!!!! Grin
Thanks for your words of reassurance re waiting for the results, its good to know that its not unusual for them not to give the results over the phone.

I didnt get to finish my post earlier cause i realised that my roast was nearly ready and i hadnt even put my spuds on to boil yet lol

Rad and Shelley just wanted to say good luck for your special dates.

Arthursmum im the same as you with the spottiness and random bouts of feeling sick-heres hoping its a positive sign for us both.

Rad i had a look at your thread and i def dont think yabu!! I would have done the same in your position. thank god your ds is ok.

A quick update on my symptoms-cramps gettin worse each day, like a constant dragging feeling, and my nips def do look different. I am really hoping that the hsg worked wonders for us this month.

arthursmum · 05/09/2010 20:00

I am absolutely thrilled for you row78!!!! - I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you! You have definitely given me the kick I needed to go for it, just wait for this month's AF to appear, then will hit the sales and start target practise with my pee!

row78 · 05/09/2010 19:22

Ajasec - how late are you?

arthursmum I have a CBFM, it is great, very easy to use, showed that I ovulated later than I thought this month and I would have stopped before then otherwise. Once you wee on the stick you take the lid off the other end and put it on the end you weeed on. You then put it in the monitor. So theoretically it shouldn't be all contaminated with someone else's wee. Either way it should be really easy to clean with a cotton bud.

And I would really recommend it because yesterday, 3 days early I was a bit bored, took a superdrug pregnancy test and oh my, there was the faintest of faint lines on it! Did another test today, but late on in the day (not ever FMU), clearblue just to check that superdrug are not dodgy and it was faint, but definately there! So fingers crossed that it sticks!

row78 · 05/09/2010 19:14

assassin it's awful waiting for the results isn't it? We had the same thing and even when we did see the consultant I wasn't sure why someone on the phone couldn't just read out the figures and the average figures. However the hubby was excellent in all areas so it doesn't mean bad news.

radley and shelley good luck to you both in getting your special dates. Fingers crossed for you both.

Ajasec · 05/09/2010 18:13

Hi Guys,
Hope you're all ok. I've more symptoms to report - absolutely knackered, dizzy, feeling really sick, metallic taste in my mouth. Plus all the other symptoms still. No AF, but again tonight BF-bloody-N! Angry
Radically p*ssed off! Allthatjazz, I wish my dp was as understanding as yours - he thinks I'm losing my mind. Your symptoms sound very postive.
I'm thinking of starting a thread asking how long people have been pg before getting a BFP. What do you think?

AuntFlosAssassin · 05/09/2010 13:17

allthatjazz my dp has decided im pg too like yours has lol not cause of me being stroppy (im always like this Grin),but cause my boobs look so weird lol

We were watching a dvd last nite and my nipples suddenly felt like they were on fire. I pulled my jammie top up to see what was going on and noticed that my nipples were huge and a big blue vein has appeared on my boob. Dp then commented that my nipples look a different colour Blush.

No burny nips for me today though they do feel very sensitive, and have done so for a couple of days. Ive still got a crampiness down below and have been constantly feeling headachy, not so sore that i have to take tablets but enough that my head constantly feels heavy

shelleylou · 05/09/2010 11:54

I think its a nice way for a theoretical son to have a link with his uncle who i know would have adored him as he did ds. Hope you get your special day Radley. Im not sure how i feel about the possibility of db's birthday as a birthday for a child not sure if im ready to deal with that yet. All i know is whatever happens i will still lay flowers at the scene that day whether i have to discharge us from hospital or not lol.

arthursmum · 05/09/2010 09:19

I am going to risk jumping back in again...

Have been trying to be very chilled out about ttc, but really am a seething mass of worry and symptom spotting so here goes;
Sensitive nipples (but when pg with DS my boobs really hurt and its nothing like that)
Felt sick for no reason last night
Backache
Weepy
Really greasy skin with lots of spots
All of which are classic AF signs (not sure when I am due on as have ridiculously erratic periods).

A quick question, and please tell me if this sounds really icky, I was thinking of getting a Clearblue Fertility Monitor but can't really afford one, is getting a pre-loved one totally gross, or an economic miracle?

allthatjazz · 05/09/2010 07:34

ajasec I have exactly the same symptoms as you and yes i have negative tests too. To top it all off I had a proper tantrum yesterday- very out of character for me have been very embarrassed ever since Blush dp didnt mind though as he has decided im pg. I apparently had a strop last time. Did anyone else? I also have cramp/pains right side. Found my korma hot, felt hungover 2 days in a row and hungry- until now i havent had much of an apetite. Can anyone enlighten me? Radley i'll check your thread asap. I really hope for both you and shelleylou something happens on your special days. I conceived my ds shortly after dp's grandad died. assassin sounds promising to me. Very annoying about the doc's though making you wait. Hope everyone is ok :)

AddictedToRadley · 04/09/2010 21:28

Assassin My AFs due on 6th September which if I'm on time (which I seriously doubt) and get pregnant next month it'll be due on 13th June which would've been dad's birthday (if I've got dates right). Dad was born on Friday 13th but it was always lucky for him and because of that we're not superstitious about it Grin. Having said that, he was in an airraid shelter at 1 day old after his house was bombed!! Then again he was born at 26 weeks and survived at home with no hospital care!! Hard to imagine today. I can't believe you've got 2 x 2ww's going on, one for your bfp (not af, let's be positive) and one for dh's sperm results! Poor you, positive energy swinging you're way xxx

I've been feeling really sick for a few days now but am not really a sicky person so wondering.....

ShelleyLou I really hope we both get our special days. Sorry to hear of your db. It's lovely you've decided to use his name as a middle name we're doing the same. DS's middle name is Arthur after my Nanna's husband (couldn't really call him Doreen!! lol) and next baby will have middle name of Ernest if ds or Erneista if dd (pronounced Er-knee-sta).

Sorry about this but I'm going off topic now!
I'm really angry with Tesco at the moment and have started an AIBU thread as I'm sooooooo cross. As I feel I know you all so well and consider you all friends, all be it 'invisible' friends, please let me know if you think I'm BU or not and also what I can do. I'm not sure if I'm being a bit OTT in my feelings or if they're justified - I need an 'outsiders' honest opinion. Thanks. Here's the thread

OP posts:
shelleylou · 04/09/2010 11:32

Radley now you've wrote that i feel more confident to explain my post earlier where i was rambling about dates. My db was killed in october last year and his birthday is in june. If i fall in october i should have a EDD of the day after his birthday. If i have a BFP begining of next year i have the day before he was killed. When i had my MC i realised i was late on his birthday so it was like a sign from him. When i eventually told my mum about it she said ' You'll have a baby on dbs birthday' she also expects me to concieve the day db was killed. Not in a nasty way just a gift from my brother. Its weird if i do have one on his birthday it will not only have his birthday but if its a boy will have his name as a middle name. I decided that one a while ago be in his honour.

AuntFlosAssassin · 04/09/2010 10:02

Hi everyone Smile

Welcome newbies and good luck!!

Rad you're a bit of a night owl aren't you Wink. Lets hope the dream about your dad signifies an upcoming bfp, just like your last dream did . When is your af due btw?

Cd24 for me today and not much to report apart from my back is still sore and i was awake during the nite again with heartburn and strange crampy feeling in my stomach. its still there this morning, can only describe it as a slight dragging feeling down low,its not all that painful, just feels really weird.

I rang the hospital yesterday for the results of dps sperm analysis and they wouldnt give me them. apartantly they dont give them over the phone due to the nature of the test and we have to go to an appointment with the consultant to get the results. The appointment theyve gave me isnt until the 17th september so that means we have to wait 2 weeks for them!! Its going to be a long 2 weeks!

Anybody got any strange goings on to report??

AddictedToRadley · 04/09/2010 02:06

Sorry about all the mistakes in the previous post - guess I'm too tired to type and should sleep! Obviously in the first para it should've said .....before AF is due (not AD !). In the 3rd para it should say .....try for a baby (not try for a birthday !! Grin ). Probably other mistakes too (probably in this post as well!!).

Sorry Blush

Ajasec with my DS I didn't get a BFP until I was 6 days late even though looking back I knew I was pregnant just denying it as didn't want to get my hopes up. Even when I got the BFP it was so feint it was barely visible. There's always hope, some women just show up on the test later than others and some lucky sods show up days before AD is due (not that I'm jealous you understand - yeah right who am I trying to kid?!).

What I was saying my earlier post about being convinced about falling pregnant next month was to do with my dad. I lost my Nanna in 2007 and when DH and I decided to try for a baby I had a dream that baby was sent by my Nanna. I was then given an EDD of 8th Nov 2008 which would've been my Nanna's 80th birthday. I was then given a revised EDD of 17th Nov and was gutted that the link with my Nanna was gone. To try to cut a long story short I was booked for an induction (for my health) on 4th Nov so was sure I wouldn't give birth on her birthday. I was admitted to ante-natal ward to wait for a room in delivery before they started the induction but the rooms were constantly full (I could only be induced during the day as I had to have a consultant there for my labour). On Friday 7th Nov I started in labour after a sweep but it stopped for a few hours and re-started at 6am on the 8th Nov. I had 1 or 2 midwives in the room at all times and was talking to her and told her I'd like to have the baby before midnight (I explained why). She said there was no way it'd happen! Anyway fastforward to 8pm and DSs heart rate plummeted to just 60bpm then kept dropping to 40bpm. They decided I needed an EMCS and just 3 minutes later DS was born at 8.11pm on 8/11/08 on my what would've been Nanna's 80th birthday!! Even the midwife cried she was so happy for me.
Anyway I had a dream the other night (exactly the same as I had with DS) that my dad (who I lost in Dec 2008) sent me a baby. I've got a really strong feeling that I'll give birth on what would've been his 70th birthday in June 2011!! If my AF arrives when it's due this month I'll be due on his birthday!!

It's like I loose someone I'm really close to and when DH and I decide to try for a birthday I end up due on/giving birth on a special birthday of theirs. I hope it's true as it'll turn a sad occasion into a happy one again.

Mind you I feel like this could be the month too as DH and I have been BDing regularly a few days before I OVd, the day I OVd and a few days after so fingers crossed. Probably because I don't want it to happen this month (I want next month) I'll get the elusive BFP!!

Sorry - posted before I was finished...
The nips a week ago first alerted me to the fact that I might be pregnant. Hoping that I am now! Grin

Ajasec · 03/09/2010 09:33

Hi Everyone,
Can I please join this thread. AF is 2 weeks late and I've got all the same symptoms as you ShelleyLou:
Sensitive nipples
Tingling heavy breasts
Indigestion
Gas (sorry!)
Change in CM with a different smell Blush
tired
nauseous
Ive got 2dd and a ds and had a TOP years ago, so Im kinda familiar with the symptoms. BUT BFN... Every day for a week!! (yeah I'm testing every day Blush.
Am convinced that I'm pregnant, but stick says no. Am I going mad?? I wasn't ttc, I was trying not to. The nips

shelleylou · 03/09/2010 07:37

Thanks for that Rad;ey. This is my second since the MC and was a 33 day cycle which is very unusual for me. Think last one was about normal. I've had so much go on over the past year it aboutt ime something nice happenede. I'm just seeing the date issue as a positive and a message from my db.

It sounds like it could be promising I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

AddictedToRadley · 03/09/2010 04:26

ShelleyLou just a quick note to say that my MCs haven't affected all of my AFs. I had 2 out of the 7 that was 40-60 day cycles! Then again after my 1st MC I fell pregnant within a week or two with DS (according to the dates as I don't know when I OVd). If you're up to it psychologically then go for it. Aparently after a MC you're more likely to concieve within 6 months than you were with no MC! Here's hoping!

Welcome to all our new symptom spotters. It's so nice to have you all here. I can't believe how many newbies we're getting on this new thread it's lovely and you're all so very welcome. We need more loons spotters to ensure we all feel 'normal'. Grin

I'm officially on the 2ww and have symptoms that I've never had before ie

  • Super sore nipples (they're ubber sensitive...ouch!)
  • Enlarged nipples (look like I'm permanently freezing - where the heck did they spring from?)
  • Crampy feelings in tummy and back
  • Raised temperature
  • Really strong gut feeling that we'll concieve either this month or next. I think it'll be next but will explain why later as in a rush to sleep (3-4 hours before DS will wake up!)

Anyway got to dash off now so no super duper long posts this time - then again I haven't written the infamous 'epic novel' so far........ Grin You just wait........hehehe

AF arrived today so will have to try again next month lol. Just worked out fertile days using the mn ovulation calculater. I was saying to DH earlier That i can see me having an EDD date of a specific date in June or October. If i'd have had a BFP thistime round or in 2 months time both EDD were within 2 days (based on 28 day cycle like ive been having) of an important event in my life. One of which being a day after the June date. Just recalculated on what cycle lenght is atm and i have the day before the October date and surpoed to be fertile on that date this year. Spooky. I realise this is probably a bit of a riddle but was trying to keep the positive side of it rather than the negative

crowette · 02/09/2010 08:38

Hallo ladies :)

I'm on my first month of TTC, AF due 11th Sept and so far driving myself mad with:

Heavy and bigger boobs and sensitive nipples (on and off)

crampy tummy (on and off)

Had chilli con carne and a sweet chilli stir fry, which were both much hotter than I'd usually find them - stung my lips

everso slight queasiness (probably in my head)

Tiredness (probably overworked)

Very emotional (probably due to stress at work - or maybe I'm finding it extra stessfull cos I'm feeling more emotional, aaarrrgh!!)

Driving myself mad.
