Munki I know how you feel, we are still ttc though dh announced last night (after me telling him how much baby stuff we would have to buy and how much it would cost) that actually maybe we shouldnt have another! I have been saying for months that maybe life is just perfect as it is with dd being a little older now things are just easy and why change that.

Despite lots of symptoms im spotting now so looks like af about to arrive. Im charting temp for the consultant and finding that interesting and will probably plod on until I see him again and see what the results are but after 17 months im losing interest in the idea - though that doesnt stop me poas!

That sounds very positive - after my mc I had a strong feeling before I knew I was pregnant that I would get pregnant again and everything would be fine - and I was right! I remember DH commenting at the time that I suddenly seemed very serene. How amazing would it be if it was girl twins and the fortune teller was right!

We are still trying, just got AF this morning a day late, after two BFNs and loads of very real symptoms - noticeably massive boobs, v pink nips, nausea, extreme fatigue. This month we really pulled out all the stops and really thought it had worked so I'm totally gutted. Am starting to accept it's just not going to happen and I think I need to move on and try to start grieving for the life we're not going to have.

But please don't let me put a downer on your good news - I'm genuinely happy for you!

Glad all was ok Munki, I am now up and running with my chart on fertility friend so thanks for the tip! Havent been posting much myself as really have nothing so say, all talked out on ttc issues, in the 2ww now, 5dpo according to my chart, last full cycle before off to the fertility clinic.

Back again (briefly!). BB hope all's well, and everyone else who's disappeared. I had an ultrasound scan of one of my breasts this morning - after all that prodding I found a swelling that I thought was unusual. Had to go to hospital and have it checked out and thankfully a is ok, phew!

Like you I have been a total hypochondriac over the last few months, that's just the latest thing. I wonder if it's down to ttc and paying more attention to what my body's doing. I've thought I had oesophageal cancer, cervical cancer, a brain tumour, MS, the list goes on. Now I've had the all clear from the breast clinic I'm just going to try and move on and stop all this constant worrying.

I've got some opks and I'm taking agnus castus but I'm going to ditch all that after this cycle and try to enjoy the here and now, instead of living nine months in the future with my imaginary baby. So going to try (again) to stay off here. Hope all waiting for their BFPs get them soon. X

Hi munki I will have to have a look at fertility friend. I got a BBT thermometer off amazon, I was avoiding charting temps and using ov sticks so not to obsess even more than I already was but now ive got to do it! Ordered 'Taking charge of your fertility' book, figured that even if it turns out I cant conceive any more i can easily shift it on ebay! I also had been lurking for ages but trying not to get too drawn into it all but now im being catapulted into the fertility clinic I cant help but look for info and stories!

Hiya BB I am still lurking but trying not to obsess so not posting - very successfully, not! Still not PG, symptoms getting more intense every month but nothing. Started taking agnus castus and peeing on ovulation predictor sticks but I don't think it'll help - just want to feel like I'm doing something!!

Glad your cervical thing is nothing serious. I've got a hard bit on mine but as latest smear was clear and nurse didn't say anything about it I assume it's nothing. Was too embarrassed to say 'nurse, when I keep obsessively feeling my cervix, it feels a bit weird...'.

Hope you're now on the way to finding out what's/whether anything's wrong. I use an 'in ear' thermometer to take temps - the digital kind though I'm not sure that's right. You can get special BBT thermometers off eBay. I use fertilityfriend.com to keep track of temps, it automatically detects ovulation too.

Good news, not polyps, gyn didnt know what gp was on about everything looks normal for someone my age (late twenties) anyway now being propelled into fertility investigations, bloods on days 4 and 21, SA, scan, swabs and then off to fertility clinic to discuss results. Going to be a long couple of months. Now have to start charting BBT but dont know much about it. Now on CD1 though AF come early, no idea whats happening. The only thing reassuring me at the mo is sore suspicious boobs and the ewcm I get mid cycle, something is clearly working somewhere.

ok so been to the Drs and she said there is a fleshy lumpy area around my cervix, apparently it was mentioned on my notes at time of smear last year though no one mentioned it to me! She says it has got bigger and may be polyps or cervical erosion. She said it looks benign but im being referred to a Gyn. Of course the earliest I can get an appointment is around the time af is due again. She says this could be blocking the cervix and causing problems ttc.

I Have been having some brown spotting since 12th of Jan and don´t have the normal pain at all as every month before my period, have been feeling kinda fluish, have tender breasts and maybe a bit more tired every morning. Don´t want to go for the test yet- don´t want to be disappointed :(

Have two boys ages 5 and 3, so I should know already what this is but just can´t be sure.. ? maybe because I wish to be pregnant.

im symptom spotting in a different way and so far have endometriosis, fibroids, cysts, cervical cancer, in fact every cancer, underactive thyroid, overactive thyroid oh and today meningitis. Roll on my doctors appointment, rang surgery to check it was a double appointment and there was no record of me having an appointment, in fact the gp i was seeing is on holiday that week. So looks like I imagined that lengthy conversation with the receptionist to get me an appointment on a day/time when dh is available to supervise dd so guess add crazy to my list of symptoms

The day before yesterday my spastic colon played up the whole night and (sorry, tmi) cleared me out, but constipation still there... The day after usually clears up, but none of that. I was enthusiastic enough to eat something hubby had made at about 7 (?) and then regretted it massively. Felt SO SICK. Nothing came out, but sickness got better towards 2 in the morning. Then, nice, go to sleep. Wake up with incredible nausea at quarter to 10, which clears up at about half past, but I do not fancy any coffee and haven't done so for the whole day. That is weird.

I should wait for testing, shouldn't I? Well, I need to get off the sofa and out of the house for that (don't want to ask my hubby's paypal account lol), so that might still take a while.

Now, hopefully, off to cook.

How are you all getting on with your symptoms?

Hi everyone, I know I am going to sound really stupid but this is month 1 trying for number 1 so I'm still a novice! How early could I get suspicious boobs? I had my first AF after having implant removed from 31st Dec to 2 Jan so therefore would possibly have ovulated by now? So we did the deed yesterday (14th) at about 2am, and now I have tender heavy boobs, is this way too early to have any symptoms? Or could I have ovulated early? I really want this to mean something but so scared to get my hopes up, I know I'm probably being daft but any thoughts?

Well, I think I might as well join in as I have been reading along for a while now.

I haven't been on the pill for 7 years, due to increased risk of breastcancer (own decision), but always did it safely. No accdidents. Oof.

This month, 3rd of January, a sudden urge moved my hubby (as we had been talking of babies for a while), but (sorry, tmi), came too early but in the right place. I really, really, thought it wasn't possible for me to get pregnant as it was too soon after period anyway (poss started 24th of Dec), but I felt weird the day after. l

Pressure in my womb area.
Constipation up till now (one week! Really, haven't had it for that long ever!)
slight waves of sicky feeling, short though
crampy (otherwise I never have it then at all, don't feel ovulation at any rate)

Thata's all gone now, but since then I have developed weeing a lot (double?), thirst, and since a few days tiredness. And, most of all, I haven't felt like evening alcoholic drink for at least two weeks now, and I was bent on finishing a bottle of Swedish mulled wine I made for xmas. I don't get sick if I smell it, but don't really want to drink one like I used to. (my hubby was complaining about it yesterday ). And hungry in the morning! My God, how is that possible?

I am now wondering... I looked up the calender on mumsnet and it put my fertile week, supposing that I am a normal person with 14 days after ov (my cycle is pretty normal, every new moon af, according to hubby), just about 3rd of January.

I wasn't even really symptom spotting, but am starting to get convinced now...

I won't have to look out for sore boobs (love the title of this topic!), nor for cramps as I get that always when af is comming anyway. But that thirst and weeing is a bit odd...

The first time I was pregnant and had a ptermination before the pill I was feeling ill for no reason from the first week, I think (not sure). That's why I am now confused.

oh, well, wait and see, I suppose.

Hello everyone! Ive been here too long I think, off the pill for 15 months When I was pg I had no symptoms until the day before af was due and thats when I was retching at odd smells, I tested the next day (where did that willpower come from?!) and got a bfp! No real boob symptoms at all during pregnancy so as the creator of the suspicious boob I should know better! Good luck to all!

Hello! New here and TTC for first time this month! Have had two 'natural' AFs since I came off the pill so hoping that was enough for body to sort itself out but seemed to come back fairly regular with AF so thinking all ok.

Next AF due 20th Jan but been feeling quite out of sorts for the last week...wasn't expecting 'success' on first month of trying but now wondering and 'symptom spotting' like crazy...I'm useless at waiting to find something out and can't test for another week!!

Currently have very weird feelings in my tum/abdomen. Sore, fluttery and very uncomfortable - can't bear to have anything tight around my tum or heavy resting there. Also feeling very bloated and windy and have constipation and/or diarrhoea most days - seems to be either or both!! Bra's also feel v tight even though visually doesn't seem much different there!

Hubby v keen for me not to get my hopes up but I do feel quite strange...oh, and very achey too like I've been doing too much exercise!

Feel like having a nice hot bath to relax but had heard hot baths were a no no if pg...what do people think?

So good to be able to splurge what's going on in my head!

Well I don't know what is going on with me today. AF due, HPT was neg this morning (the day I see two lines I will think I am seeing double, the number of neg tests I've had!) and I feel really crampy and as if AF is about to start gushing out of me... though every trip to the loo so far just results in brownish discharge when I wipe (sorry for the tmi).

Will keep you posted, but I don't feel hopeful :(

Can I ask what you all think? I'm 3 days post ovulation and had cramps today plus unusual tiredness - does this sound feasible at all?

Hello all - kateepie2 I would also LOVE to know the answer to that question - as I had some feelings, as previously mentioned - but now seem to not feel anything different. Really don't know if it is all psychological or if it was something and has now gone :(
Got ages to wait till AF due (stupidly long cycle of 36 days, normally very happy about this as less days with AF the better!) but now irritated I have to wait so long. Caved and did test yesterday and got BFN but know that it was really far too early to do it and even if am pregnant may well not have shown up this early!

One other question I'd love an answer to - is there NO point - AT ALL - in sex outside the ovulation days? Or is there still a chance?

Oh and where exactly are you supposed to have the pillow to aid conception whilst in the act and afterwards?! Right under bum? or in small of back? Any help gratefully received!!!!

Hello! Been lurking with interest over the past couple of days

Dear old AF is technically due for a visit tomorrow, but seriously hoping not. Have been symptom spotting like a mad thing this week, OH worrying as he knows I will be upset when/if this is not our month, but I can't help it...

Those of you who have been pregnant before - are the symptons constant, or is it possible to have them and then to wane just before AF would due (e.g. are boobs sore for ages or just a few days?) would be good to know!
