quick update as i'd lost a day! And thanks for the definition of AF.... I knew what it meant but not what it stood for ... in my mind I'd always said Annual Flood!!

Hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Here's Monday's list. Think it's right.

I've just worked out that I'm in for a long ride on this bus, so had better get comfortable. If BFN this cycle, then next cycle would still have me with a June due date. HmmShock

Fatheadsgirl - thank you! Smile

Ok, here goes:

GoodVibrations TTC#2 UCL28-35 Cycle0 CD12

I am very very scared this time around as DD1 was premature. Only 5 weeks early and in very good health really, but lots of small problems and lots of hospital stays and visits. I did not cope well at all so very much hoping for a full term baby this time. And a slightly longer labour. 4 hours sounds great but it was very traumatic. Am slightly worried it will be faster second time round and I will give birth at my desk Shock

So sorry for those with losses, and fingers crossed for BF happy and healthy Ps by Christmas Grin

zinnia · 29/08/2010 18:01

hi all, just sticking my head round from the May bus as I think I'll be here properly soon. itsbeenawhile I'm a June baby and my dd is late July, so the summer baby thing is something I've thought about a lot. Had thought I'd have #2 in spring (ha, ha) although that was more to do with having mat leave over the summer!

However... though I have my fears for dd going off to school at only just 4, being youngest in the year all her life etc., it can have advantages too.

In practice, apart from being rubbish at sport (which tbh I would have been anyway) don't think it made a huge difference for me at school, and in fact the 5 people in my year who did best academically were 1 x Feb baby, 1 x May, me (June), 1 x Sept and 1 x Oct BUT the Sept and Oct were a year ahead of themselves (private school, sorry, not my choice obv!). All are still friends of mine and the Sept girl in particular is a real high flyer and has never been disadvantaged by being a year younger than some of her peers.

Completely anecdotal of course but I wouldn't worry about it all too much. Mind you I always hated having exams in my birthday month...

hollyoaks · 29/08/2010 15:24

Hi everyone, I also wanted to jump on to say good luck too. I was on here last year when I got my bfp and dd is now 13 weeks :)

Waves to ladylou, hope things are going well, comgratulations.

Better go before I start to feel all broody.

BrassicaBabe · 29/08/2010 15:22

Trying to avoid the "here we go again" feeling. I scanned down the cycle stats on the May bus and there aren't many people on cycles 6 and 7. Getting bored/impatient/frustrated/shagged out now. But I'm on clomid this month, so "here we go again, but with drugs"! Grin

Hello all, please can I join too? I have never been on a bus before and have absolutely NO clue about all the acronyms, please help!!!

kat2504 · 28/08/2010 14:45

Hi all! I thought about recreating first date but involves a train trip. Instead we are going to spend a night in Stratford upon Avon with champers and chocs in the room and three course dinner and then visit Warwick castle on way home. Tonight he is taking me to dog racing. Think I win the romantic award this time! He deserves a nice treat though after looking after me so well during the mc. So far no sign of af to blight my weekend!

mrswantstobeamum · 28/08/2010 10:54

Good morning, ladies. Mind if I join? This is my first bus so I'm quite excited!

This is my first cycle after coming off the pill, so I have no idea what will happen. CD16 at the moment, but no signs of ovulation yet. I'm charting and using OPKs, so hopefully I'll be able to avoid needlessly taking loads of PG tests!

Kat, happy anniversary! Let us know how you decide to celebrate. It might be romantic to re-live your first meeting!

itsbeenawhile, I've thought of the summer baby thing, but I think there is a counter argument to be made that they could have more opportunities from getting a head start. Does that make sense to anyone else?

My sympathies to everyone TTC post-MC...I can't imagine how difficult that must have been. Best of luck this time.

hello ladies
i've also not jumped on a bus before, but i'm feeling quite positive this month, so here goes...

itsbeenawhile - i agree re summer babies. i'm a september birthday and always loved being the oldest - won at sports days when i was younger, and then was the first in my year to learn to drive etc. i've come to the conclusion that i want a child first and foremost - when it arrives is largely irrelevant!

right, let's give the stats a go:

Just wanted to drop in and say good luck to you all on the June bus. I was on the june bus when I got my BFP last year, so I hope it is a good ride for you all.

Those of you who are post MC, I know it wont provide any comfort but I was post 2 consecutive MCs when I joined June bus, and now DD is 10 weeks old.

Good Luck to you all xxx

itsbeenawhile · 27/08/2010 17:24

Can I hop on? Never joined a bus before as more of a lurker but hopefully I'll pick up some good vibes and get me pregnant.

Just a question... Is anyone worried about a June/July/August baby because they'd be the youngest in the school year? First and foremost I want to be pregnant but I already have a teeny tiny August DS and not sure if it's 'fair' to have another summer baby. This is probably nothing to worry about as I don't think I'll be getting pregnant any time soon anyway.

Thought i'd join in although please be gentle with me... this is my first cycle post MC (actually a MMC at 13 weeks) which was post ruptured ectopic at 8 weeks; all thi year! I'll be very nervous about everything this time round but obviously the first battle is to actually get pregnant...

Hi sparechange well with any luck you won't need to buy a bus ticket, perhaps you might get a complimentary freebie. You're right, formally ttc is a bit of a stress at times.

Should be doing housework but Jeremy Kyle distracted me. Guilty pleasure of the summer hols.

Hello ladies,
I'm not going to buy my ticket, but I just wanted to pop my head in and say hello to some of the old faces (Kat, I'm looking at YOU) from some of the old buses I've been on!

DH and I are taking a break from formal trying, as we reached the 1 year TTC mark a few months ago and have been referred for more tests and investigations and everything else.

But it is great to see there aren't many familiar names on recent buses, which I can only assume means there has been LOTS of baby dust being sprinkled around these parts and lots of graduates.

Good luck to you all, and may there be MANY more grads this month

kat2504 · 26/08/2010 14:58

FHG cleaning is what i am supposed to be doing but little progress has been made! ooops. Hope you are enjoying the peace and quiet!

Instead have been thinking what to do for bank holiday weekend. It's our first anniversary since we met :-) since bf has been so nice looking after me since the mmc think I shall plan us a nice little treat.

fatheadsgirl · 26/08/2010 13:29

Hmmm wine and cake on a school night....is that allowed??

So far cleaning is taking up my time. What a rock'n'roll life I lead Grin
