Hi greeneyes and welcome aboard, I am just 34 (feeling 50) Wink

Just dropping in to let you all know I had a really positive appointment at my GP surgery tonight. I went to see a GP who I don't usually see, but who specialises in fertility issues, and she listened to all I had to say and has got the ball rolling, without comments about my weight (I'm BMI30 and struggle to shift it due to PCOS). I'm booking in to have my bloods taken throughout my cycle (first appt Monday for day 21 bloods), she's prescribed me some slow-release Metformin to see if that can help me increase my dose, and she said that once they've interpreted a cycle's worth of blood results they will book me in to see a consultant and to scan my ovaries to see if there are any cysts at the moment. Feel really good for taking some positive action! Hurray!

fatheadsgirl · 21/09/2010 18:45

Hi Greeneyes Welcome aboard, I'm 25. Actually I turned 25 on Friday just gone.

I have flu and feel completely shite Sad
Also have had a few cramps yesterday (implantation???????????) and have had very tender nipples for the past few days.... probably not helped by the fact that I poke them ALOT! Am also extremely irritable, poor DP

HI everyone. Surely we are due some BFPs on here soon - I hope so.

Just found out another friend is pregnant - I feel like everyone I know is either pregnant or recently had one. I am pleased for them but obviously jealous too.

However I am definitely ovulating today (first time I have ever had a really clear second line on a OPK) so will keep on SWIing and keep my fingers crossed for this month. Going to be another long month though - looking like another 40 day cycle. Feel I might be on this bus for a long time!

I don't mind discussing ages Green eyes. I am nearly 34. Birthday soon - so being pregnant would be a lovely pressie!!

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/09/2010 15:18

Hey eveyrone - sorry i've not posted for AGES but everytime I came and caught up with all the messages there was even more of them and then i wouldn't have time to post!! Nothing exciting to note here - I'll be testing at the weekend... AF is due next tues.... Don't 'feel' pregnant though...

Is it worth putting our ages on that too???? Hmm

I'm sure we didnt get a baby again this month, I dont have any symptoms at all, so not getting my hopes up again like I usually do.

Good luck to everyone waiting to test this month. Lets have lots of good news to spur us all on!

mrsden · 21/09/2010 08:41

Morning,

Is anyone close to testing yet? I can't wait for the BFP's from this bus to start rolling in.

Queenrollo I had a little stomp about last night because I was thinking how unfair TTC is. My friend told me yesterday that she is 10 weeks pregnant. Of course I was very happy for her but I also wanted to cry because I was jealous. And then I felt bad for feeling jealous. It's a very strange set of emotions.

I think I'm 5 dpo. How long after ovulation does implantation occur? I have no symptoms or signs but it would be too early now wouldn't it so there is still hope.

Good luck to everyone who is testing, 2WWing or SWIing today!

queenrollo · 20/09/2010 22:16

my cousin is in labour Smile

i'm tired and feeling grumpy. does anyone else have little paddy's? i wait til i'm alone and then stamp my feet and shout about how it's not fair.....that's it my turn to be PG.

i'm off to bed.....

8rubberduckies · 20/09/2010 21:37

Hi all, just checking in, I'm absolutely shattered (for all the wrong reasons Sad). Sorry to hear so many people are having a down couple of days, but totally that sounds like it could be implantation bleeding, fingers crossed for you.

I went to visit my friend today, whose 1st child is the same age as ds. She's just had a 3-week-old and I had a fab cuddle. It was a bit of a teary moment though watching ds holding her and giving her big kisses on her head Sad

ravenlocks · 20/09/2010 19:58

totally I think that could very well be implantation spotting you know. So don't cry, check it off as a sypmtom, and look out for some others....!

serendipity poor you all wound up! I find I cope (just) because I have to and I tell myself that falling to pieces isn't going to get me pg any faster, in fact the opposite it will only be detrimental. After AF arrives (and trust me I do kick off and have a good cry on CD1!) I work out a list of why another month gone is a good thing such as another month to save up, selling a property at the moment and more time to nest in new place, less fat when I move, maternity leave at better time of year etc. I also focus on what I can control such as what I can do to try even harder next time and make it a bit like a competition with myself (and I am quite a competitive person so that work well for me)!

Serendipity27 · 20/09/2010 15:20

Afternoon Ladies

I think I am back on the crazy symptom spotting again.....feel like I'm coming down with something for the last 4 days but so far nothing. I'm very teary, really achy lower tummy and lower back, not to mention nausea..... I am also beyond knackered! Of course all of this could just be a virus or really bad PMT!!!!! Honestly I want to cry just writing this!!! I don't think I could face another month of this if I'm not PG this month.... All you others hanging in there I really think you are amazing!!!! Tell me how you cope and how you get through it please!!!! I am driving both myself and my DH mad. Bless him he is desperately trying not to get excited so he doesn't get my hopes up but at the same time he is getting all upset like me. If we were put on this world to procreate why can't it be so much easier??!!!! Seriously there is only a 20% chance every month assuming you have all your bits working properly. It's bloody madness!!!

Apologies for the rant I will go and get some chocolate and try and calm down. sob

StarflowerGirl · 20/09/2010 15:13

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been invisible girl lately. Hubby and I both have some sort of horrible flu bug which has knocked us for six.

Totally I really hope it's implantation and not AF.

There's too many other posts for me to properly comment to everyone as it'd take and age so I'll just wish you all happy SWI-ing or 2WW-ing!

milanomum · 20/09/2010 14:49

Awww totally that's crap. Unless... dare I say it... could it be implantation??

I'm feeling enthusiastic because my pre-seed arrived today just in time for the beginning of the fertile week of craziness... shocked that you used yours all up ravenlocks that's quite an achievement :o I'm going to go sparingly and hope I don't need a whole tube before i see the effects!

Totallyfloaty35 · 20/09/2010 12:35

Hi all,im so annoyed, been cramping and spotting since last night. Its a week early for AF so im not happy.I was really hoping that as DH was home this time and actually enthusiastic( ok maybe resigned is a better word Wink)
about it for a change it would get me somewhere.
I could cry....in fact i have done Sad

queenrollo · 20/09/2010 11:08

hello all.

had a difficult weekend, and we came home early. That's our summer over now, it's been hectic, apart from the first two weekends in Sept we have been away or out every weekend since mid-May. Looking forward to hunkering down for the winter and a few weekends snuggling on the sofa.

No symptoms here, apart from crying at all sorts of silly things. I did that last time i was PG, but i do it in the build up to AF too!

I'm bound to get AF on Saturday as i'll be at a family wedding!

Good Luck Mrswants and enjoy your holiday Smile

Since last night, whenever I cough or sneeze I get this horribly, painful, stabbing pain in my lower abdomen (honestly it feels like it's in my ovaries or something) anyone else had this before or am I taking symptom spotting to a whole new crazy level??Hmm

Probably gunna do some work on my Personal Statement today as I feel poo so don't fancy doing much.

Morning ladies. Hope you all had good weekends with plenty of SWIing! Very impressed with those of you who can manage every day or even twice a day for ten days! Think DH and I are maybe too old and known each other too long for that! Having a toddler definitely has an impact too.

Looks like I am in for another long cycle - CD22 and still no ovulation yet (but it was CD23 last month). Been SWIing this weekend anyway thanks to your advice! Though neither DH or I feeling that great so it was a bit of an effort, which is a bit sad really.

Hoping for BFPs from some of you at the front of the bus this week.

mrswantstobeamum · 20/09/2010 09:03

Morning ladies,

Thought I'd check in quickly before taking off for a two-week holiday with DH. I am hoping to ovulate during the next few days, so this may well turn into a 'conception-moon'! I can't be sure, though, as I didn't ovulate last month straight after coming off the pill. Wish me luck!

OOh, I think that is a very positive sign MrsP, about your anniversary. Ha ha re the Pope - clutching at straws, much?!

So finished marathon 10 days of SWI. Didn't manage to do twice a day except on one day in the end - we just couldn't muster much enthusiasm. Used a whole tube of pre-seed, but coz we started early (or rather I ovulated late) some of it we used before the fertile window - ho hum.

Second day of rising temps in a row so I am now considering myself on the 2WW (or 2 week rest)! Grrr... a long cycle this month.

How are you guys doing Nicolaplus1 and Baby2b up there in the drivers seat?

fatheadsgirl · 19/09/2010 15:18

Has everyone had a nice weekend?

I saw The Pope on the News, does that count????

We have started SWI this weekend although like 8rubberduckies I think its a bit early in my cycle. A bit of practice can't hurt though. Wink

Its our first wedding anniversary next weekend and it is also my predicted ovulation date - I'm hoping this is a sign! Grin

Hope you're all having lovely weekends.

Hello ladies,
I am not at all patiently waiting for my pre-seed package to arrive sometime before I ovulate... feckin' italian postal system grrrr!

Good luck to those at the top of the bus!

I live in the same country as the Pope - is that not enough God??!!

Hello all, nothing to report here but thought I'd pop my head up and wish you all a Happy Sunday! Started a bit of half-hearted SWI this weekend, although it's a bit early in my cycle to be honest, but you never know, miracles may never cease and I may have a 28-dayer this cycle!

Good luck to all of those waiting to test soon, looking forward to some more good news... hopefully we can give the May Bus a run for it's money in the lucky stakes Smile.

ravenlocks you are a real swot managing to SWI twice a day, I envy you your energy and dedication, although I think that now you've had a glimpse of the pope you can rest on your laurels this month Grin.
