stac14 · 29/11/2010 06:48

let us know how you get on really sounds promising though hun

fairy when i got bfp with rileigh i had ov'd late so get to it lol

high whens your scan? Early pregnancy is knackering isnt it

Hows everyone else? nonu and confu3ed are you feeling any better? X

confu3ed · 29/11/2010 06:45

Thanks Higheels!

Wow really that sounds very positive, a line is a line, maybe try to test again first thing in the morning.

Fairy I use OPK's some months and have PCOS I generally get a positive on more than one day. However the month where my bloods showed no ovulation the tests said I did twice! So how reliable they are I am not sure.

No sign of AF only 2 days late now but I am always on time. Bit confused as I had all of the signs but nothing has happened. I still have very sore boobs though. I am a bit worried now and don't kn ow whether to POAS or not, another BFN would make me feel awful. That said not knowing is pretty bad too! Dilemma!!

xx

MissFlick · 29/11/2010 03:29

Oh wow reallygrumpy it definitely sounds like you're pregnant! I don't think it would be possible for two tests to give you lines and don't worry about how faint they are either. One of the girls on another thread I am on tested a couple of days after she had her HCG shot and the line she got on her test was very faint and only appeared after 4 minutes and that's with her knowing that she has had a big dose of the hormone injected into her.

Sorry fairy, I can't be any help with the OPKs as I have never persisted with them due to my irregular cycles. The EWCM sounds like a good sign though.

reallygrumpy · 28/11/2010 18:23

Hello everyone,

nonu and confused sorry to hear you've not been having a good time recently, it's really hard but there are lots of women on these threads who thought it wouldn't happen for them and it has. Fingers X it will be your turn soon.

I've had a rather odd week, felt v ropey but had had a BFN on sun then DH persuaded me to test again on fri and there was a v faint line, tested again today and it was there again. I'm going to test again tomorrow but it looks like it may be a BFP at long last. It wouldn't be possible for 2 tests to give false positives would it? The lines were faint. I don't want to get too excited about it though cos I'm worried about having another mc.

boba82 · 28/11/2010 15:34

Congratulations jo!

Hugs to confu3ed and nonu, we are all here to support you. x

Fairygodmother1 · 28/11/2010 14:35

Thanks highheels!!!!

highheelsandequations · 28/11/2010 11:07

Fairy never had any luck with the OPKs myself but I'd say the + result combined with EWCM sounds promising. You can ovulate at any point with PCOS (as my body proved to me!) and I had EWCM for a few days before the time when I must have ovulated. Now get off the internet and get shagging! Fingers crossed for you. xx

Fairygodmother1 · 28/11/2010 10:38

Hi to all my old girlies,

Need some advice, cos I didn't take my own advice!!!!

I've just taken an OPK & it's got two lines & I know PCOSers shouldn't use then but... - the story goes on day 22 I bled a little so thought I was on early - which also is a miracle I made it that far into the month going by my recent experience, then day 23 I didn't bleed at all, today I have EWCM so thought what the hell, I'll take an OPK - now have two lines - does it mean I'm ovulating or am I getting my hopes up???

Thanks girlies

BTW - Congrats Jo but you know I've said that aready! xxx

Congratulations jobobpip08! Hope you're all settling in well at home :)

Hope your AF doesn't show up today confu3ed. I am feeling very emotional and hopeless today which are my classic PMT symptoms and my AF is due tomorrow so I'm not holding out much hope.

MissFlick · 26/11/2010 01:25

Sorry you're feeling down confu3ed :( I think we all have times when we feel like it will never happen for us. I know there is nothing I can say to make you feel better but didn't want to leave you unanswered. Have you been on Clomid this cycle? I've heard lots of people say that their first signs of pregnancy were feeling emotional and PMTish and certain that their period was about to arrive. I have everything crossed that this is your month xxx

confu3ed · 25/11/2010 16:14

Sorry again just read that and al me me me and misery x

confu3ed · 25/11/2010 16:12

Aaaaahhhhh really bad day! Feel so tired and emotional to the point of tears and awful headache! Feel like this will never work for me. Everywhere I look pregnant women or others pushing new born babies! Af due in 2 days and must be on it's way with all this emotion, and sore boobs(sorry tmi)! just feel like giving up. I know this is a roller coaster but I have ridden it for too long already :(

Sorry for the rant and doom and gloom ladies I am sure I will be better in a few days!

popsy1 · 24/11/2010 19:14

Congrats Broken Its always tricky announcing your pg. But everyone knows that those of us on here who are pregnant have been through a hell of alot and certainly dont begrudge fellow posters, even if we shed a tear or two :) Wishing you lots of luck.

MissFlick · 24/11/2010 06:22

Morning All,

broken has it started sinking in yet?! Hope you are doing well :) My level was 19.4 for my progesterone test which I thought was way too low. However, my gynae told me that anything over 10 indicates ovulation but in a medicated cycle where the goal is pregnancy they like the levels to be around 25 so the progesterone was given to boost my levels.

Fingers crossed that your feeling odd develops into a nice BFP in the next few days reallygrumpy

Brokenbits · 23/11/2010 21:17

Thank you all so much for the congratulations and for being so lovely. I truly understand how hard it is for some of you, so it just makes your kind words all the more thoughtful. I never thought it'd be my turn and am still waiting for it all to go horribly wrong!
If nobody minds, I'd like to stick around for a bit and see if I can't offer bits of advice here and there that I've picked up over my ridiculously long TTC journey. I know I wasn't a Clomid buddy for very long, but I don't feel as if I'm remotely safe yet and I also want to be able to congratulate everyone here WHEN you all get your BFPs. It WILL happen. I've put a Karmic order in. Grin

grumpy I've heard that OPKs can be a bit out on Clomid too. I guess it largely depends on how high a dose you are on, but I was advised that provided you don't use them until at least 3 days after you finish the course of tablets that month, they shouldn't interfere. This may present problems for women who ovulate early and, obviously, there are always ladies out there who they don't work for regardless of ovulation, which just adds further fuel to the fire. Oddly enough, they did work for me this month. I found them quite useful in terms of correlating fertility signs and doing a bit for myself without the doctor's interference, but, like everything else, they aren't 100% accurate all of the time.
I have eyes, fingers and toes crossed that this is your month.

confu3ed so sorry about your blood test. I would have been fuming. This is hard enough without the added annoyance of them not doing their job properly. FWIW, it is absolutely possible to get a positive OPK two days running and it's quite comforting that you get such a good warning! A positive OPK signifies that you're going to ovulate sometime within the next 12-48 hours, so get SWI as soon as you get the first one and hopefully, that should do the trick.

MissFlick That all sounds really positive and I'm impressed that they are giving you progesterone as opposed to just telling you you're out for this month because of low levels. Can I ask, did they tell you a number for your level of ovulation? They don't tend to be very forthcoming with this information (in case you start reading about it and self-diagnosing!), but I doubt they would have bothered with the progesterone unless they thought you were in with a fighting chance, so I have everything crossed for you.

Lady How did your scan go?

Waves (and thanks) to boba, popsy, nonu, highheels and stac and anyone else I may have missed.

reallygrumpy · 23/11/2010 19:23

broken that's really wonderful news, I hope your bean is a sticky one. I usually hate pg announcements but on threads like this where I know what people have gone through I just feel v pleased. Plus it gives me hope that sooner or later it will be my turn for a BFP. On the subject of which, I'm still feeling very odd so I'm going to test again in a few days.

highheelsandequations · 23/11/2010 16:40

Broken huge congratulations to you, I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you're dreaming, I still feel like that! Really fantastic news and hoping you have a wondeful pregnancy.

MissFlick · 23/11/2010 10:23

Hello, I am an absent member of this thread I know and I'm sorry! I do lurk and just wanted to come back and say huge congratulations to broken- what wonderful news!

All is well here, I had my first cycle of Clomid and my monitoring scans showed that it appeared to work Had a HCG shot to trigger ovulation on day 15 and am now waiting to see if AF arrives. Had a progesterone test on Saturday which showed that I had ovulated by my levels were lower than they would have like so I am now on progesterone suppositories which are making me feel pretty grotty.

Am off back to catch up with you all :)
