womanly do you normally have a very short cycle? CD18 seems quite early for what is traditionally called a Day 21 test! I found clomid made my cycles longer, so 7 days after ovulation would have been more like day 24 for me.

Fingers crossed your cyst will be gone next cycle and you can start the clomid.

Thanks jobobpip08 - First cycle they put me straight on clomid and then I had a scan on Day 8 - They saw a follicle at 16mm in the left ovary and said good..come back to us for the Progesterone test (on CD18) and that's it.
The P test was 0.4 so they then said - you've not ovulated - - pls come for an investigative scan on Day 2 -- and this time around they found a cyst on the right ovary and everything was normal on the left. So they said - skip the clomid and come back next cycle at day 2 again.

jobobpip08 · 29/09/2010 21:06

hi womanly I can only think the clomid might enlarge the cyst, if it was a true follicle I don't think it would even be visible on CD2. Cysts come and go, they are probably hoping it will disappear in time for the next cycle.

Could you tell me, in your first cycle was your scan also CD2 when they saw the follicle and did they let you continue with the clomid? I would have expected them to check both ovaries at the same time.

Hope that helps?

Feel free to come back and see us. Smile

Question for you: After a CD2 scan where they found a cyst/follicle (15mm) in my right ovary, the docs said no to continuing me on clomid for cycle #2 this cycle and instead asked me to wait it out till the next cycle where we'll go through a CD2 scan again - - Any idea what they mean by this?
When I was on clomid 50 on cycle #1, they saw a dominant follicle in the left ovary and perhaps ignored the right...

Appreciate your help / insights if you have any.

jobobpip08 · 29/09/2010 13:53

Sunny not a stupid question at all, but I don't know the answer! The only thing I can think of is to make sure you don't infect DP as iirc he could reinfect you and you don't want that.

supersunny i had thrush in pregnancy and used a canestan pessary and the cream. Also dont see why you cant treat thrush on clomid as your not fertile till 10-14 days after end of clomid (very roughly) also you could use live yoghurt on a tampon (soz for tmi) when pg i heard a few things others have used to treat it and like you i seem to break out after antibiotics. Hope it clears soon x

highheelsandequations · 28/09/2010 22:01

Sunny you're not having much luck at the moment, poor love. Sorry I can't answer your question but hope you get better soon.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your kind messages. Still not dancing about but feeling a lot better than I was.

To those who were asking (Jo and sunny) I'm currently waiting to have a HSG before they give me another 3 cycles of clomid. Had 3 cycles on 25mg and definitely ovulated at least once but no luck conceiving.

Acupuncture is going well, she seemed really pleased this week that she'd got really good kidney energy going through me which is apparently excellent for fertility. Hoping that we manage to conceive without the clomid but if not, we'll see what the HSG says. In the meantime I'm busy taking and eating everything anyone mentions may help fertility :)

nonu sorry about AF, but good that you're feeling positive about starting a new cycle.

lady and pops sorry you're having a rough time at work, take it easy and hope you feel better soon.

Need to go as loads to do today and then have a wedding to go to this afternoon. Big hugs and babydust to everyone.

nonu · 23/09/2010 09:53

Hey, i am still waiting as there is no sign of AF as yet, but my breasts hurt alot, this can be so agonizing, thanks for all ur support.....Confused

popsy1 · 22/09/2010 20:27

Hi all, apologies for not posting very often.
nonu i have no expeience of spotting. But like you i always hated seeing BFN, felt like a double blow. My cycles are about 33days so i left it til a week after, usually on weekend so i could cry!!Good luck with whatever your decision, sorry for not helping more.

lady work pretty full on for me aswell, i ended up crying most of lunchtime:( Hope things are easier for you now, how are you feeling?

Sending a hug to highheels TTC is such a crappy time. I got sick of the amount of times i avoided questions or pasted that fake smile on my face.

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well.

jobobpip08 · 22/09/2010 11:27

oh nonu such a tricky one! It could well be the bd-ing, I used to just wait and see but I know its not easy to do.

high ditto super are they going to increase your dosage as what you're on isn't doing its job yet. I do know what you mean about 'occasions' and 'deadlines', I have been through so many, birthdays, christmas, mothers day fathers day all hoping 'wouldn't it be lovely if....' I did have to try really hard not to do it in the end, it just gets you down even more if it hasn't happened by then. Hugs.

xxx

hey, need advice immediately, sorry if i will be too openBlush, had a little spotting on cd-27 after bding with DH and then nothing in the morning, after some time again little small spot and again nothing, what does this mean, should i test or wait , just cant bring the nerves to see a BFN again, HELP GUYS.....

confu3ed · 21/09/2010 22:16

Not sure if my consultant was just passing on the government health message or not as he reckons that 3 pints can mess up a mans sperm for 100-120 days! Not sure how true that is as most guys drink 3 pints every so often don't they?! He said that you i totally give up drinking till pregnant :( hope this isn't the truth not like I drink much anyway but a glass or two of wine a week keeps me going!!!

Supersunnyday another few weeks will give you time to get better and probably give you a better chance, also there are some anti-biotics that Docs don't want you to take when ttc.

Chin up highheels tomorrow is another day.

X

Quick post. Sorry I've not been around lately. How is everyone? I've still been feeling fairly down in the dumps, still no signs of ovulation and no progress with the clinic. My mum and dad are coming to visit us in a month or so and I'd really hoped to have some good news to share with them, very disappointed that we won't. Sorry for the whinge, can't seem to get myself thinking positively just now. Back when I'm feeling less miserable for a proper catch up with everyone.
