I also, have 2 boots tests and 2 clear blue digis stashed in my drawer, but am was determined not to use them until I got something off a cheapie one! I am not sure I will be able to resist.

What is also strange is that bang on time for a 24 day cycle I got my exact pre af symptoms, as I have had consistently for most of my life....then just no af. I was so convinced she was coming on Wed I told DH to forget it this month, but yet she is still not here.

Just trying to remind myself it is still very early days...

LadyGoneGaga · 23/10/2010 10:19

That looks very promising, Tory. Unfortunately as this is first cycle charting you don't know how long your normal luteal phase is - normal is between 10 and 16 days so you could have a long luteal phase? If your temps stay up for 18 days though then you are almost certainly pregnant.

Internet cheapies can be a bit crap. When I got my BFP it was really, really faint on an IC at dpo14. Tested with a First Response and was really clear. Hopeful for you!

Hi all

I hope you don't mind me crashing your thread, I've been reading it all month and there seems to be a wealth of experience on here.

Basically background is I am on my 4th cycle since coming off the pill (on it for 15 years) first one was 30 days, then the following two were both 24 days and very consistent symptom wise. This is the first cycle I have been temping. I am currently on cd 27, and did a test this morning (ebay cheapie) which was a bfn. However, still no af and a temp rise again this morning.

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/315af5

I was just wondering if people thought there was much chance of a bfp still, or any other views on how my chart looks. I think I am assuming that probably having two 24 day cycles in a row after 15 years doesn't actually mean that my normal cycle length is 24 days, so maybe my body is still sorting itself out...I don't know. I am trying to convince myself to let it go for this month, I just wish af would hurry up so I knew for sure!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read!

Oh Mouse I'm the same, would have been 14 weeks on tuesday. We will so get there before April. Your boss is not being helpful at all. You might need to have a little word about how you feel. I was lucky, mine was brilliant but he has two kids and also managed another girl at work who has had recurrent mc (I mean lots and lots and still has no babies) so he was really sensitive.

FWIW my GP told me it wouldn't hurt to try again straight away, I know what you mean about not wanting to lose an opportunity. Have a lovely massage. xxxxxxx

Hope AF stays away Dani, it can dip and then go shooting up but might well not.

Am looking forward to hearing some good news on here soon though!

mousebacon · 22/10/2010 22:39

Ooh, when & if those look really promising! Got my fingers crossed for you Smile

digi I totally understand why you're worried but have everything crossed that this is it for you, I'm sure in a couple of weeks you'll be feeling rotten!

Thanks for all the kind wishes ladies, am trying to think positive - treatment for 5 days then no more nasty bugs rather than the worst case scenario...

spilt I'm thinking about you hon, you've been through so much and I saw on another thread you were thinking about work. I'd say to take more time off to be honest. I'm going back on the 1st of Nov (first day back after half term) which will mean I've had the whole month off. DO NOT FEEL GUILTY!

LGG hope you're ok, and that there's a BFP on the horizon for you too. I think I'll only ov once between now and Christmas (trying to be realistic) so I don't feel like I can let that egg go without ttc from it IYSWIM. I'm worried by all the HCP that have said 'rest, give your body time...' I feel like screaming I don't have time!!!

I so want to be pg again before my EDD. I would have been 14 weeks today.

I've only got one more job to do and that's removing the 'weeks pg' from my work diary ane the maternity leave calendar. I'm not ready to face that yet Sad

I popped into work today (training day) but it was awful. The staff are brilliant but the boss was on 'we need to make up for lost time mode' not helpful at all.

Anyway. I've decided to treat myself to a massage tomorrow. I think a bit of relaxation is just what I need...probably won't mention the superbug Smile

Have a great weekend xxxxxxxx

digitalgirl · 22/10/2010 22:31

ifatfirst chart looking very exciting there!

danilou I think if you're due af it will arrive tomorrow. Let's hope not though and temp goes up again so you can test with abandon.

mouse sorry to hear you've got an infection to get over as well as everything else. Hope dh is taking care of you properly.

ladyggg I don't think it's stress delaying ov in my case. My mum and sister, cousins also had/have long cycles, so it's more likely hereditary. I tried lo-gi diets, regular running, cutting out caffeine, agnus castus, but nothing altered the length. Acupuncture helped make them regular but they were still 39/40 days long.

oh spilt I know what you mean about taunting yourself. I lurked on the due in nov thread a couple of weeks after my mc. But then never looked back.

Thanks for the words of support it really does help me feel better.

Danilou22 · 22/10/2010 21:23

Hello all,

I hope you are all having an ok Friday evening. Right I have been feeling really terrible for the last week or so. I have very sore boobs, mood swings and bouts of nausea until I eat and then it goes away I am shattered and have been having cramps which I usually don't get until just before AF arrives. However my temp dropped today so have been waiting for AF to arrive still feeling sick and tired (and to top it off I seem to have a swollen throat? not sore just swollen!) Will one of you lovely ladies look at my temps and tell me what you think? DO you think the drop this morning is the end of hope for this month? (if so I roll on next month!)

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2e3054/rss7212.xml

Thank you!

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2010 21:01

Digi I know how you must be feeling, but as Spilt says you're not bleeding and you had a reassuring scan. I really hope all is well - you may be making your symptoms not be tehre because you're over thinking it - the mind is a funny thing.

Interesting what you said re: your ov being delayed as well - do you think stress or something stops it or just one of those things?

Ifatfirst that looks REALLY promising. When are you testing then? Grin

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 20:55

IfAtFirst your chart + symptoms are also looking very promising, though it's hard to say when you ovulated, could be CD13-CD15 so there's a few days to wait for an answer. Hope it's a BFP!

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 20:51

digi I have to confess I only spotted your thread because I was taunting myself by reading things in the Pregnancy section. Hang in there my lovely, there's every reason to believe that your baby is fine. You aren't bleeding, and I think you said on your thread that you've got no cramping now, which must also be a good sign. My boobs didn't do a lot until I was about 15 weeks, and maybe you've lost your appetite because you're so worried and upset? Seeing the hb at 6 weeks hugely reduces the risk of mc-ing. Seeing it again at 8 weeks means you have a 98% chance of going to term (according to the Miscarriage Association), so hang in there.

I'm sure in a week or too you'll have your head down the toilet cursing your pregnancy symptoms!

Take care of yourself, I'll be thinking of you and hoping you have nothing to worry about x

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/10/2010 18:27

digi - keep your spirits up, think positive thoughts. :)

Mouse - you poor soul, seems like the MRSA is just another kick in the teeth for you Angry

Right - I want you to all look at this and let me know what you think. Got pretty excited when it shot up yesterday, even more excited when it continued to rise this morning Grin
I have made absolute sure that I take my temps at the same time every morning so they're as acurate as possible.

One symptom has kicked off several more. Today I have felt:
Shattered - can't even be arsed to cook tea tonight.
Mood swings - laughing and carrying on at work one minute, feeling of wanting to slap someone the next and welling up listening to tunes on the drive home
Crampy feeling, almost pre-AF feeling, but way to early for that.
Look like a spotty teenager, I normally don't get a breakout until a couple of days before AF.
Dry feeling in the back of my throat (although there are a few colds floating about)
:)

digitalgirl · 22/10/2010 18:14

Got my fingers crossed for you when

ladyggg I get exactly that in my cycles. Body attempts to ov around cd14 - get ewcm, cervix is high and open. But every single time it closes and temps stay low till it tries again the next week.

spilt thank you for posting on my thread. Even with your own situation you are still so kind to others.

Sorry havent posted for a few days, been lurking but have been feeling really low this week. Despite having a reassuring scan on Monday I've since convinced myself that all symptoms have gone Sad. No matter how much I try and rationalise it (fluctuating hormones, all pregnancies are different etc), I still can't shake the feeling that it will happen again. I'm a right misery guts at the moment and the only person who knows why is my husband. And in a warped way I'm hoping that this mini-depression I'm going through is pg-hormone induced. Just wish I felt sick instead. Really.

One good thing though. I'm 6+5 today, which is the day I started miscarrying last time. I know it's not the end of the day yet but I do feel like I've almost made it through unscathed.

newyearsday · 22/10/2010 15:55

when looks really promising, fingers crossed here too!

split you're in my thoughts xx

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 15:20

Whenisitmyturn I've just worked out who you are! Blush I get so confused by all these name changes, I thought you were new to us! I am struggling a lot. Looking forward to my parents coming back from holiday this weekend as I haven't spoken to them since before all this happened (they do know though) and I think some mum hugs and tears will help. And I know she'll let me talk and talk, and I think that's what I need right now.

Your chart is looking rather beautiful so far, here's hoping it carries on! You've got a few days before AF is due haven't you? (assuming your previous LP of 14 days is about standard). Fingers crossed for you.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2010 15:13

Is looking good so far, When. Hopefully will go up tomorrow and go triphasic for you. Fingers crossed.

Whenisitmyturn · 22/10/2010 14:19

Ah, thanks Lady - it's [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1cb0e1
here then]]

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2010 14:08

When you don't need an email, just click on Sharing/Home page set up and then you will see the link at the top which you can copy from the site. Sounds encouraging, I can understand you feeling apprehensive about it as you put extra pressure on yourslef before that kind of thing. I was same this month as was first AF after mc and I so wanted it not to come. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Whenisitmyturn · 22/10/2010 13:56

Spilt you sound (quite understandably) like you are really struggling Sad. My heart really goes out to you. Trying for a family is easy for a lucky few, for the rest of us there seem to be many bumps along the road. As Lady says, could you perhaps look into acupuncture/reflexology etc, or perhaps counselling. To back Lady up, I talk at length to my acupuncturist about how I'm feeling and it's nice to offload to someone other than Mr O.

Lady glad your body appears to be playing ball. Let's hope you hit your lucky month Smile.

Mouse how are you feeling? Big squeeze to you too.

My chart is fueling a bit of self-indulgent thoughts this month. I am currently 9 DPO and my temps seems very static, as opposed to the usual up and down fluctuations. I am trying not to think about it too much as I find the disappointment each month unbearable as it, without having to bounce back from having convinced myself I'm PG too. I would post a link but haven't received the email to do it. I remember commenting on Digi's last month about how hers had done the same, but she might have been further on than me in terms of DPO. I would so love to be PG this month as we have our FC appointment in a week and a half and it would spare us from going to that! I'm not going to mention it again as I don't want to work myself up into a frenzy, but felt I wanted to share (that probably makes no sense does it???).

newyearsday · 22/10/2010 13:52

Truff I got an implantation dip at 8dpo in the pg cycle. Like lady said you can only be sure after the bfp, but I had my suspicions because from ov I got a lovely climb in temps rather than the usual saw-tooth (up, down, up, down) and I started with symptoms from 8dpo (tiredness, sore boobs and morning nausea). Not everyone gets symptoms though. Good luck! My chart is here.

DH admitted to me he thinks temping got us our bfp - made me feel really proud.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2010 12:55

I still feel so, so sad for you Spilt. It's just wrong.

I do really like the feeling of control that charting gives me. Even if body is being random I can tell in what way it is being random and why rather than just endlessly waiting for periods and fretting about being pregnant/or not like I used to. I hope it helps you too.

Onwards and upwards anyway and hope the body behaves itself this month. So far has done [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2fee7f
this]]. Which apart from random high temnp yesterday (due to bad, bad night with the toddler) seems quite sensible.

Having acupuncture again this month to try and rebalance my hormones more quickly after the mc - Spilt and mouse might be something to think about if you have a fertility specialist one near you? I found it very gentle and very relaxing and a huge help just to talk to someone about everything (an hour and a half she let me talk to her for!)

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 11:50

Thanks Lady. I'm not expecting any form of textbook or typical-for-me type cycle, it's just a wait and see game really. Gives me something to ponder amongst all the rest of the misery Sad

Hope you get a more normal cycle this time. The odd ones feel like such a gutting waste of time don't they?

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2010 11:25

Truff looks good so far. But I've had "implantation dips" the month I did conceve and the month I didn't. FF say they are twice as likely to appear on pg charts as non-pg charts so encouraging but not conclusive. I'd test on Sunday but only cos I like testing on a weekend in case of BFP/upset by BFN!

Spilt you can count that day as cd1 but is prob a bit arbitary. It will take your body a while for the hormones to all settle and the hormone chain to get going again. My temps were all over the place last cycle. Higher temps than normal for first half and lower temps than would expect post-ov and only a 7 day luteal phase. Sounds like will be good for you to hae a cycle off as your hormone levels must have been much higher from Bobbie than from mine at only 7 weeks. It will prob feel agonisingly slow and you will get pissd off waiting. I was obsessively looking at chart gallery on after miscarriage charts to see what typically happended. whatever gets you through.

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 11:05

Truff you can get implantation dips, but not always. I suspect you could only really identify one if you got a BFP and then looked back at your chart, - otherwise it could just be a random blip again. Do you know how long your luteal phase is usually? Just remember, even if you do get a BFN on Monday but no AF then it ain't over! Sometimes peoples BFPs don't turn up until 18-21DPO (by which point most of us would be gibbering wrecks with the suspense...)

spilttheteaagain · 22/10/2010 11:00

Well my post partum bleeding appears to have stopped now, so I guess I'm on the watch for ovulation now. CD14 today if I take Bobbie's date of birth as CD1 - does that sound right?

We are going to leave it for this cycle and probably ttc next time round. We've both been ill with vile colds/stuffed up faces and temperatures so I think a chance to recover would be good for my body!

Lady I know what you mean about the dull wait for the fertile zone. I remember finding it very frustrating, not least because the day I ovulated changed a lot so I never knew quite when it was coming. Hope it's not too long for you this time.

Truffkin · 22/10/2010 10:57

Sorry Mouse sounds horrid, but hoping the various methods work for you and there is no need for drugs!

Spilt others have said what I was thinking, you are bound to get difficult days and for what it's worth, I think you sound amazingly strong and are dealing with things so well.

Am sharing my chart as an update here as I think it looks promising but have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. I've disregarded one temp from last weekend as it's out of sync with the others and I'd been awake for a while before I remembered to take it (after a night of drinking at a wedding) so I think it's a bit misleading. QQ - is there such a thing as an implantation dip? I've read conflicting views and wondered what your thoughts are. I'm thinking of testing on Monday if no AF by then, as this will be 14 DPO.
