My libido has plummeted! poor DH Blush

Digi how wonderful to have seen your little bean! I can't wait for mine on Monday. The symptoms are the only thing keeping me sane.

LadyGoneGaga · 19/10/2010 09:10

I'm fine. Temps properly down below last months coverline this morning so high temp was just residual progesterone. So cd 5 here, onwards and upwards. I have a longish cycle so going to be a couple of weeks before the serious SWIing starts. Needless to say am bringing out all the big guns this month - supplements, acupuncture, no caffeine/booze. Helll, I might even have some sex!

BrownB · 19/10/2010 06:18

Thanks for your help LGG. It's all making a bit more sense now. Smile Hope you're okay...

mousebacon · 18/10/2010 23:01

Ah truff it's always hard to hear other's news no matter how well you wish them.

LGGG I tried and failed to interpret your chart I'm afraid. I just really hope it works out for you soon.

Really should go to bed - keep forgetting it's a week day with being off work Confused

xxxxx mousey

Truffkin · 18/10/2010 22:14

Thanks, I know that really but am just feeling a little pffft. This is their third, 1st conceived in 2 months, 2nd 'without trying' a few months before they'd planned to start and this one the first go. I (of course) would never begdrudge them anything and wouldn't wish a struggle on anyone, least of all my family but wish they could appreciate how lucky they are and that not everyone has it that easy.

Will stop whining now, but really thanks for helping.

LadyGoneGaga · 18/10/2010 22:06

My SIL pg too Truff, due in June. She did try for ages and ages though so fair dos. Don't worry about what she's doing. This will be your baby and tehrefore amzing regardless.

Truffkin · 18/10/2010 21:58

Thanks Lady although just found out SIL is pg for third time (DC's nearly 4 and 20 months) so not sure how such close timing would go down if this is our month! I feel no symptoms whatsoever so am not feeling the vibe (yet?!)

Mouse so sorry I didn't say earlier that I was sending my good wishes. Glad DH seems to be creeping, maybe he does know he's in the wrong after all.

Digi great news, I can only imagine that feeling. Hope everything continues to go well for you.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 18/10/2010 21:52

Nope, made no difference - what does it matter anyway, just playing the waiting game now!

LadyGoneGaga · 18/10/2010 21:17

You could try but will prob still be unsure as you have EWCM and HSO cervix after when it thinks you ovved.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 18/10/2010 21:14

Digi, I'm so pleased for you, keeping everything crossed that it all goes swimmingly Grin

I'm glad your DH is behaving himself today mouse!

FF is still sicking with it's choice of ov day, bt still isnt 100% sure www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3 I don't flippin care when it happened, just so long as it damn well works this time Grin

I never got a really strong positive OPK so am wondering if I missed the surge (suddenly ran out of them, so had to ration them out). If I remove the OPK results, do you think it would give me a more definate decision?

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/10/2010 20:45

Oh DG how exciting and hope all is well :)

I too am v confused about chart - typical as the last 2 months have been textbook. I just wish if I'm, not pg, AF arrives quickly!
Did a test last night, was -ve. But then if I ov on day 23, I am only on day 13 today and if day 26, i'm on day 10. Sigh. What's worse, when i conceived DD I felt like I was about to get AF for at least 10 days - kept going to the loo and expecting to see evidence and then I got a bfp on day 39 and I feel the same now but that's doing my head in cos it's getting my hopes up again.

Trying v hard to ignore and just see what the week brings. I guess I'll know either way by the weekend (famous last words - in 2007 I had a 60 day cycle. First time in my life, and I hoped the last!)

LadyGoneGaga · 18/10/2010 18:54

Meant to say, Congrats Digi too. I know not out woods yet but it's def a milestone. Hope you have a sticky bean this time round.

Glad things getting better, Mouse.

I've not had ERPC but when had natural mc I just waited until after the bleeing had stopped. Felt pretty cathartic actually. Are you trying again straight away or waiting a cycle? I didn't want to wait...not that it did me much good!

LadyGoneGaga · 18/10/2010 18:47

Looking good Truff. I'd test on Sunday if I were you Smile.

No pain, Digi. Just like a period. Sort of light-medium flow. Although I don't really have period pain particularly since having DS and haven't really had any this time. Bleeding tailing off bit now. Think the crazy temps are just caused by effects of the mc last time still. Think temps going down slowly. If I was pg (vay unlikely) I'd still only be 11dpo - crazy cycle.

mousebacon · 18/10/2010 18:28

Ah, you guys are great Grin or even [hgrin] !

DH on his best behaviour today so things are on a bit more of an even keel. Just want to be back on the ttc wagon now, trying to think positive about the posibility of falling pg quickly but may invest in a turkey baster so I don't have to touch dh! Ah the joys.

Digi I am over the flipping moon for you! The epu woman said I could ring her for an early scan next time (off the record) so think I'd go for that too - even though it will mean another delightful internal scan.

KC11 thank you for the kind words, it's nice to know I'm not going crazy.

Personal question for those of you with experience of ERPC - how long did you wait before SWI/SFF began again?

Truffkin · 18/10/2010 18:04

Just marking my place as not much more to report here. I'm 7DPO now and had a big temp dip on Saturday although I was drinking the night before (and that night - oops, bit of a social weekend!) so am not sure if that could have affected it. It went back up yesterday and today though so think that's ok.

I'm not feeling any different to normal and as my last 2 (kind of) normal length cycles were 39 and 26 days (I know!) I can't really even think about testing until the end of next week so will just be waiting it out.

If anyone is remotely interested, my chart is here

digitalgirl · 18/10/2010 16:36

kc11 I've heard good things about agnus castus increasing short luteal phases. Supposed to be very good at balancing the hormones oestrogen and progesterone - so good for egg hatching and good for egg laying!

digitalgirl · 18/10/2010 16:33

Catching up on phone so apologies if I miss anyone.

mouse hope your dh is being less of a selfish twat today. Really unfair (and incredibly unsafe) to make you drive after a ga. And unless you knowingly drank a litre of gin in a scaldingly hot bath, whilst necking a cocktail of illegal drugs, it was definitely NOT your fault.

ladyggg strange high temps with bleeding after not very long luteal phase? You prob don't want to know but perhaps as you say test after 18 high temps - if it is a positive you'll want to find out what's causing the bleeding. Are you in any pain?

mrsa your chart is very confusing. I think you still may have ov'ed around cd26. But I guess you'll find out in a few days what your temp does. Fingers crossed though.

As for me, have just come back from scan where baby measured 6 weeks so hooray for temping! Heartbeat flickering away which made my bottom lip tremble. This is the furthest I've seen in a scan (since ds) so feel a whole lot better knowing baby's made it past 6 weeks. Having a repeat in 2 weeks to make sure it all develops as it should. Then maybe I'll tell my mum (who is living with us and has probably guessed something's up with my constant eating and napping).

KC11 · 18/10/2010 16:16

mouse I completely agree with you. Your DH's mother has a lot to answer for. So does my MIL. She mollycoddles him every time she sees him. He can do no wrong. When i'm snappy with him she tells him i'm ungrateful for all he does for me/us. I think she feels that she has to look after him better than me because she's his mum. She now has a grandchild (my SIL gave birth two weeks ago). I hope that she'll shower her affection on her grandson. He needs love and attention more than my DH. I think i'm capable of looking after him fairly well. My DH won't accept that sometimes he gets things wrong.

My AF started last Friday so I'm on CD 4 i guess. I think i have difficulties with implantation but DH does have a slightly low sperm count. It only a bit on the low side. When i ask him if it bothers him he says no. Am i mad in thinking that I could have conceived naturally in the past but it's just not implanted? My cycle length has been dropping each month for the last three months. (29, 28, 25). Is this very bad? I must have a short luteal phase. Is this the correct interpretation? Can any fertility drugs lengthen the luteal phase?

spilttheteaagain · 18/10/2010 15:45

Please don't feel guilty MrsA, the last thing I want to do is go round thread killing with my doom and woe! I've found a few other threads to do the majority of my weeping and wailing on so will try to keep my Charting hat on here...

As far as I recall, yes you would probably bleed at the end of an anovulatory cycle, but it isn't a true period (I am very rusty on all this). Looking at your chart, it's possible that you didn't ovulate until about CD26 in which case you would be only about 11DPO. Very hard to say though. I would try and give it another few days to see if the temp crash on CD35 is a blip or if your temp stays low.

Hopefully someone else will have some words of wisdom?

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/10/2010 15:14

Thanks for your comment spilt I feel quite guilty as my concerns are so trivial compared to your recent loss.

As with all bereavements, time does heal and hopefully the days will get ever so slightly easier on you and DH.

My LP is normally about 11 days, so I'm now 13 DPO. No AF still - could I possibly be pg? I thought not yesterday and had a large glass of wine but unless AF comes tonight, I don't know. If I am having an annovulatory cycle, will I have a period or just nothing and I should start looking for fertile signs again?

Thing is, I have periodic cramping sensations and have had them for the past few days, but no signs whatsoever of AF.

spilttheteaagain · 18/10/2010 14:21

Thanks Lady. I'm ok I think today. DH went back to work for the first time this morning and I got very panicky and frightened when he left. He's back now though and working from home this afternoon Smile. Just knowing there's someone else in the house helps. It's lonely without my little bump, I haven't been truely by myself for months.

Terrys I don't know the proper answer, but I too was a short cycle, short AF girl. My cycles got shorter and shorter after coming off the pill (29 days, 26 days, 24 days, conceived on a 22 day-er) and my AF was 3-5 days each time. Maybe there is something in this theory! I suppose it could be that a short cycle doesn't allow your body as much time to build up a big thick womb lining, so there's less to lose at AF time? That could of course be complete crap though!

MrsA what a pig of a cycle. I agree with you that it looks like you ovulated earlier (CD22-26 ish sort of span when you had the EWCM). Do you know the length of your luteal phase? If you do, when AF turns up you can at least count back and see when it was likely to have been. The other possibility is that you could be having an anovulatory cycle, which is apparently very normal, most women have at least 1 a year, so maybe this is just a confusing cycle? I feel for you, it's a hard waiting game, and feels like wasted time when it doesn't work.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/10/2010 13:31

Well, I give up!!
Temp up slightly today and so FF has changed its mind again as says I ov day 31, which I'm sure i didn't as I had all the signs on day 23.
Still no AF but temps too low for pregnancy and I'm too early to test anyway?

here

I really don't know what has happened as ever since my cycles resumed after DD was born (she's 2 now), I have had cycle days of 28-31 regular as clockwork. This is the very first month DP and I try properly (we agreed to try in June but didn't get very far with SWI!!!) and I have no idea what is going on. I keep expecting AF but I have not experienced a cycle like this since before DD.

I could scream. I just want AF to arrive and then get on with things again.

Hope everyone else OK :)

TerrysNo2 · 18/10/2010 13:00

Thanks for clarification LadyG Grin - I did something else with Evening Primrose capsules when waiting for DS to arrive!! Blush

Question - do you think/know there is a link between short AF's and cycle length? I seem to have v short AF's - 3/4 days and was wondering if this is why my cycle is quite short (26-27 days). Just interested!

LadyGoneGaga · 18/10/2010 08:07

Not insensitive, Spilt. The thought had def crossed my mind. But think is unlikely anyway as not got any symptoms. If they stay up for 18 days as per TCOYF I might consider a test Grin. How are you feeling today anyway?

BrownB every night is disturbed for me! I have a toddler who feels sleep is optional Grin. I can normally get some kind of sense out of my chart with a bit of squinting and holding it at funny angles. Were you drinking on Sat 9th evening by any chance? That may have pushed temps up cd9 so you could discard that one. The high temps early cycle most likely due to AF - mine are still up. Then you could have ovved CD13 but have a fallback rise pattern? Try discarding day 9 and see what it does.
