Oh god, Mouse. How did you get that? Can you be signed off a bit longer?

AF is just about buggering off now (the tail end spotting seems to be lasting forever) so now just the wait for SWI time. This is the most dull part of a cycle I feel. I keep feeling like my body revs up and has a go at laying around the typical day 14 and for whatever reason doesn't quite manage so has another go a week or so later - seems to have happened quite a few times like that. anyone else have this?

rocketleaf · 22/10/2010 09:24

oh mouse what a pain in the arse!!! On top of everything else too :( I hope the scrub downs do the trick and you get the all clear asap. :(

mousebacon · 21/10/2010 21:57

I know! I have been prescribed nose cream, throat spray, shampoo and body wash. I have to be reswabbed in a week then for another 2 weeks after that. If it doesn't go away then the anti biotics will begin. Ttc seems a long way away at the moment. I'm supposed to be back at work tomorow but I think the boss will freak out. We also have a teacher whose DD is in remission from cancer so I'm a risk to her too.

At least it's half term so I'm not having to ask for more time off

spilttheteaagain · 21/10/2010 21:46

oh mouse MRSA?? Shock

What do you have to do/take now for that? Is there no end to the bloody nightmare for us all?!

LadyGoneGaga · 21/10/2010 20:12

Spilt and Mouse it is natural to feel like that. I have a mini-wobble every Tuesday as that would be 11 weeks, 12 weeks, 13 weeks etc. Is horrible. I know I'd feel a lot better if I was pregnant again Sad. Something else to focus on. Hopefully soon for all of us.

mousebacon · 21/10/2010 19:44

I'm still here too! I did exactly the same thing on the day that would have been my 12 week scan. I just got worse and worse as 1pm approached thinking of what might have been and how happy and excited we were. Like you said though as that time passed I started to calm down. This will happen for us x

my news? I was asked to go in to see the gp today re some hospital results. I've got MRSA. Aaaggh!

xx

rocketleaf · 21/10/2010 19:35

Sorry split I thought I had killed it and then had to do some work. As If said you are bound to have wobbles, it's such early days, but like any grief it will get easier, you will never forget but it will get less painful with time. Each landmark is part of the process, I suppose. I hope you are feeling a bit better now. Big hugs. xx

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 21/10/2010 17:38

Oh spilt - I'm here! :)

It's completley understandable that you will have a wobble every now & then. You've had such a horrendous time :(

x

spilttheteaagain · 21/10/2010 16:22

Oh crap. I have killed the thread again Blush

Please come back!

spilttheteaagain · 21/10/2010 15:17

Hi rocket, thanks for asking. I'm still going but having a very hard day. It's exactly 2 weeks since we had the scan and found out Bobbie had died. I'm feeling a bit better now, but as the appointment time approached (it was 1.30 we had the scan) I got more and more panicky and frightened and cried and hyperventilated my way up to 1.30 as all the fear and memories of the scan day built up again and I re-lived lying there with the lady leaning over, touching my arm and saying "I'm afraid it's bad news...." Strangely once the time passed I've calmed down a huge amount and feel more peaceful.

Starting on the chocolate hobnobs again now xx

rocketleaf · 20/10/2010 21:38

hi, been lurking for a while and keeping an eye on you all

Yes, lady pregnacare do his and hers conception vits (actually cheaper if you buy it like that) Thats what TB and I were on as soon as we found out about his slightly defunct white goods. This has zinc and all sort of other stuff in.

mouse so sorry to hear your DP was being a bit of a dick, hope he has sorted himself out now and is being nicer to you.

Hope both you and spilt are bearing up, v impressed that you are getting back on the horse. Hope it works out for you both very soon.

LadyGoneGaga · 20/10/2010 18:47

Sopunds strange Terrys, sounds like is remnants of AF to me? And on the question of OPK's I'd start using them as soon as you start to see fertile quality CM. I reckon buy the cheapies but buy loads and test loads so you don't miss it!

I'm on last remnants of spotting so SWI campaign to start shortly. Going to go for every other day and then go for it when we get the signs! That is plan anyway.

MrsA don't Pregnacare do a His and Hers pre-natal vitamin? My DP not done any of that...yet!

TerrysNo2 · 20/10/2010 15:27

Hmmm, it is mixed with leftover (doesn't that sound lovely!) AF so maybe its not the right stuff??

Also ordered pre seed today MrsA - lets hope it does the trick!!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 20/10/2010 15:23

Terrys if it were me, I'd start testing. I bought shed loads of the OPK from amazon for just a few quid, so it costs pennies.
And I often notice EWCM early days, even mixed in with AF (TMI!!). If you're clear of AF and generally ov by CD14, I'd start SWI and testing.

LadyGGG no, I didn't chart with DD. Didn't even know about it. I only found mumsnet after i got pg. It wasn't until the ladies on my postnatal thread recommended TCOYF that I became aware. Amazing book.
I keep reading about all the problems that could exist and thinking the worst. I know that's bad of me. I should focus on the positive and it's only been a short while of SWI.

Anyone know of a good supplement for DP to take BTW? I'm on pre natal vitamins but I've heard zinc is good for sperm. I've also ordered some preseed lubricant as it got good reviews.

TerrysNo2 · 20/10/2010 14:59

Aggghhh EWCM on CD 5 - now what should I do with this?!?! Confused

TerrysNo2 · 20/10/2010 11:34

Hello all

Sorry for appearance of Af MrsA Sad. Come join us on the July bus!!

Here is my latest chart temps seem to be fluctuating but definitely below the pre-AF temps (not sure if I should be happy I did OV last month or gutted that it didn't work!)

Quick question - when should I start using the OPK's this month? The instructions say I should start on CD9 but FF reckons I might be fertile from CD10 so don't want to miss the surge. WWYD??

LadyGoneGaga · 20/10/2010 08:01

Did you chart when you were having DD, MrsA? Maybe that will even up the odds and you'll fall a bit quicker this time? I think on your chart as long as you can see a def thermal shift and your luteal phase is long enough (over 10 days or so) there shouldn't be an issue with supporting pregnancy. If you got pg you start producing more progesterone anyway and your temps would go up more.

My temps have dropped loads everyday and are now in a nice pre-ov range so hopefully hormones have settled into a better pattern [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2fee7f
here]]. It's interesting as I don't normally bother charting during AF.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 19/10/2010 22:48

It was definately AF last night, so i will count that as CD1.

Thanks for the comments, am feeling OK as we've not been trying very long. I just remember what it was like trying for DD - most months ended up feeling crap so not looking forward to it but I am, IYKWIM.

I am old and overweight. Sigh. Going to the docs after a few more months will be so depressing.

Another tech qn though - looking back, my post ov temps seem to fluctuate and never get very high, although there is a definate chemical shift. Does this suggest anything obvious? eg am I ov but don't have enough hormones to make any implantation stick perhaps?

spilttheteaagain · 19/10/2010 22:26

Oh bummer, sorry MrsA, I hope you're ok.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 19/10/2010 20:45

MrsA you can never tell "what went wrong", as you look as though you did the best you could. I keep reviewing mine to see if something will stand out as to why it didnt work - but there' nothing to see :(

Sorry about AF I would count yesterday as CD1 (we're you sure at 10.30 last night that it was AF?) I don't think FF takes in to account spotting, but definatley any light bleeding.
Fingers crossed for this month :)

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 19/10/2010 20:37

Wow Dani - that was one helluva cycle you had there, glad to see this months is looking somewhat normal Grin bet it's a relief!

I'm only 5DPO and am convinced that the big zit on my chin is due to pregnancy hormones, as I normally don't get a breakout until a couple of days before AF.
I refuse to listen to any of you who might suggest that it's far too early for anything like that Grin ('cos I know you'll be right!)

Danilou22 · 19/10/2010 20:24

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2e3054/rss7212.xml

Hello all. I just wanted to pop in and share my chart once again. I can't believe how normal it looks after the last 117 day cycle Grin

I hate to say it as well but I have been feeling quite sick (in waves) and have increasingly sore nipples! I am aware of course that I could just be very over tired but I can't help having just a glimmer of hope!!!

Happy charting xx

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 19/10/2010 20:15

One minor techhy qn. AF arrived, literally at 10.30pm with a very light flow that became heaver during the wee hours of the morning. FF therefore counts yesterday as CD1. Is this correct? It was definately more than just spotting late last night but is it enough to count today as CD2?

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 19/10/2010 15:52

Truffkin I know how you feel. My sister got pg twice without even thinking about it and i was desperate for my first.

But keep on hoping. With DD, we had been really trying for 12m and at our first appointment at the fertility consultant at the hospital, they said come back the minute AF arrives and we'll get cracking on hospital tests. AF never arrived, DD did 9 months later. [hgrin]
Like others, i was beginning to think it would never happen for me and i just have to have the same hope now for No 2. My worry is I am 38 now, was 35 when i conceived DD and that's a long time at my age.

Sadly, AF arrived late last night, finally ending a bizarre cycle and dashing my hopes. At least we can start SWI again around halloween. cycle here if anyone interested or has comments about what went wrong!

KC11 · 19/10/2010 15:03

Truffkin - Chin up honey. I'm sure your SIL does appreciate how hard it's been for you. My SIL gave birth two weeks ago. I know she wants to rassure me that i'll get there one day but she doesn't want to seem like she's gloating. She fell PG by accident. Lucky her. I would not wish this sh*t and angst on anyone especially family. We all know it's not nice and we're all going through the mill. I am trying to conceive baby#1. I wonder when (not if) I'll ever see my own BFP. It will happen for me, it will. I just have to maintain patience. Good things come to those who wait. I'm sure you are doing what you can to help yourself as much as possible. Medicine is so advanced these days. Imagine what it was like 30 years ago. A childless couple remained childless. It must have been horrible to have no idea about why the woman couldn't conceive. I know a couple of women who never had children and I look at them and think well they survived it so i guess i would too. Keep on hoping and doing what you are doing. Time will give us all what our hearts crave and desire. It's a physical need that will be fulfilled. I'm a good girl, i don't smoke, i hardly drink any alcohol, i work hard, pay the mortgage and bills, visit my parents and in-laws, I'm not in debt, I'm a good person.

You deserve a little bundle of joy. Good luck. I hope you get a BFP very soon.
