Hi Strawberry Pie - well three times over the weekend meant nothing as started my period late Saturday. good in one way as I know I am having them again but bad as means their isnt a chance this month. Smile
I went on one of the websites that gives you information on fertile days etc and it falls for next month when we are on holiday with my mom and dad Blush but I am trying very hard to think of it as not being ttc just being that we are not using contraception....as I know I will get to wound up in it all if I look at it like that!
jbells I think that although men can get really broody they just dont get the same gut wrenching feeling as women- if I get upset it freaks dh out, I swear on the many few times I get upset he thinks I'm unhinged!
Oh and happy Birthday to nannyl too!

strawberrypie · 13/09/2010 10:53

Happy birthday nannyl!! Hope work and your meeting tonight is ok!

Have lost 2 lbs this week! I have also bought my dress for my birthday party next weekend! Yey! I had a fab time at a friend's birthday celebration yesterday (a family buffet that turned into a boogie in the dining room later on!)

You are very skilled to make a roast dinner bebe! I have never attempted a proper one....being vegetarian I just can't be bothered for two of us but OH's mum is a really good cook and I enjoy all the veggies and Yorkshire puds she makes. I would be more than a bit dissapointed if I'd gone to all that trouble and DD did not eat it! Aaarrghh! But that is what parenthood is all about I suppose, at least she has her own personality and ideas (already!) and will be a free thinker when she is older! Have you talked to your nurse yet?

mummyinwaiting you naughty girl! Where in your cycle are you now? Do you think the SWI over the weekend could have potential? He he!

AC I love the rolling of the eyes about your DH's dramatics! If my OH is troubled he tends to just go quiet which is difficult to deal with as I like to talk a problem into the ground. I do think men are so different to women in the way they think that it is a miracle we can get anything sorted at times!

Have a good week everyone! :)

Happy Birthday Nannyl!!! :o

AC - it does sound miserable but Jbells makes a good point about job hunting on mat leave if you can stick it out that long :(

I need to not get emotional when I talk to DH as he uses it as an excuse not to talk to me about anything serious! Hmm

jbells · 13/09/2010 10:20

happy birthday nannyl :)

AC- would u not just stay there till u get preganant is the mat pay good bcos then u wud be off for 9 months anyway and in that time u cud look for new job, just depends how long u cud put up with there crap

JustShaggingForNow · 13/09/2010 09:24

Happy Birthday Nannyl!!!

AmandaCooper · 13/09/2010 08:35

Oh and happy birthday nannyl!!!

AmandaCooper · 13/09/2010 08:32

I don't think it matters if you get flustered and emotional as long as your DH doesn't think that's his cue to duck out of the conversation. Try scheduling a time to talk about it; men supposedly respond better to that!

Have a meeting with a recruitment shark agent at lunchtime to find out if there's any chance of me finding another job. Horribly torn because the thought of being trapped in this job forever is horrible but if I move, well I'll have to put off my plans to ttc, won't I? :0(

nannyl · 12/09/2010 18:21

Hello all.
bebe your roast dinner sounds yummy. Smile
I have just had full roast dinner cooked for me by IL's for my birthday, along with all of OHs,, family, banners and balloons etc and chocolate birthday cake for my (30th agh) birthday tomorrow Smile yum yum
Thank god for BFN as it meant i could have a glass of wine and not be quized lol!!!

Good luck with your next talk, and yes write it all down so its clear in your head Smile

jbells i did my temps every day for a month while on the pill, and they were much higher than they have been off the pill, and did not follow the "typical" pattern... probably because body is pumped full of artificial hormones as opposed to being natural

whywait how exciting. Good luck and keep us posted.

bebejones · 12/09/2010 15:40

AC - think I need to do 'the talk' again with DH at somepoint. Your advice sounds good to me so will be writing down his objections & my 'arguement' so I can counter him!

I get all flustered & emotional when we talk about it then can't get my point accross properly. I think if I have it written down it will really help me focus! Also, might have to do what you said & tell him my worries about having DC#2. Like you said, if he thinks I'm not 100% for it, it might make it easier on him.

Cooked an epic roast dinner today & feel uncomfortably full! Not doing that again til Christmas, it's way too much work! Especially since all DD ate was 1 yorkshire pudding and a banana Hmm Really must ring my nurse 2moro about stopping meds, am being a real wuss! Blush

Hi Ladies,
Thank you again for advice-will buy Folic acid when I am next in town.
Started my period today :(
still getting used to my cycles as only just started having periods again as I was on the inection and even though I stopped two years ago I just havent had a period.
And now I have started having them but they started every other week, then every fortnight. Now they are ever 25days but with a tiny bit of spotting on day 16 so I'm hoping next month will be a good month of normal cycle!!
Will have to try really hard not to keep going on about cycles etc to husband as think it'll freak him out!
Saltor- sounds really tough. But I think AmandaCooper has give really good advice as I did start to sound like I was nagging like a woman possessed! Sitting down and talkng calmly and constructively does make a difference. Fingers crossed for you.

AmandaCooper · 12/09/2010 10:43

Hallo Saltor and welcome to the thread! Gosh your circumstances sound difficult. How long have you been wanting another baby? Very sorry to hear about your mc.

Your DH saying another baby wouldn't be the end of the world is a good sign, it suggests he could be persuaded. Have you sat down and had a proper structured uninterrupted discussion about it? Does he know you feel as though your heart is breaking and that it is making you feel ill? If not, then I would observe that this seems to be the key to making some progress from where you describe you are now, but it is always so difficult getting the OH to the table and talking.

I don't know about you but I found that I was raising the subject almost constantly, so much so that it was really irritating for DH, but as soon as he actually sat down with me and gave the subject the attention it deserved, I completely calmed down. I also found that with my DH it helped to confess to him all my own fears about ttc and having children, so that he didn't feel that by having a conversation about it he would be buying a one way ticket to fatherhood departing immediately.

As people have said, spend a lot of time getting your reasoning straight in your head, and think about the possible objections he may raise and how you would counter them. Perhaps try them out on us first. We are all super good at it lol (although we are all still waiting so maybe not ha ha). That way you are prepared for the meeting.

As I said, if he thinks it wouldn't be the end of the world then there is a good chance that he will come round eventually. My DH started from the position that if I ever got pregnant he would kill himself . DH is very melodramatic. He's recently been buying the baby presents.

AmandaCooper · 12/09/2010 09:58

Sounds like you're probably ok then. If you are still on the pill now then the high temps are not necessarily anything to do with your natural cycle of course.

jbells · 12/09/2010 07:11

hey AC no havnt been taking any folic acid as wasnt trying for a baby omg i can just imagine DP's face if i was pregnant lol, however its hard to believe i could be as we havnt exactly bin up to much IYKWIM and i was on the pill, i did have a dodgy stomach for 2 wks but still doesnt seem logical or possible

Evening.

I keep going through 'conversations' in my head that I could possibly have with OH about stopping contraception!!! Very impatient. But I'm being good and not talking about it all the time!! I've got some very good reasoning!!! LOL

AmandaCooper · 11/09/2010 19:47

ha ha I wouldn't go so far as to call it advice! Don't forget to test with first-thing-in-the-morning-wee!

Are you folic acided up to the max? If not, then get thee to a pharmacy and/or Holland & Barrett pronto!

jbells · 11/09/2010 19:27

no no boozing im practically t-total lol and nope unfortunately no travelling, i will take temp again tomoro morning and if no period by monday will do another preg test, thanks for advice AC :)

AmandaCooper · 11/09/2010 19:18

You are doing all your temps at the same time every day when you wake up I take it? And you've not been boozing or travelling or anything?

AmandaCooper · 11/09/2010 19:17

So when it goes up - that's supposed to be when you ovulate isn't it? And 18 high temps in a row indicates pg apparently, which would be today. But you've tested negative.

I would say that's weird JBells but you know as well as I do that it's not an uncommon complaint on here. How frustrating for you.

jbells · 11/09/2010 18:57

30 days even not 7 lol

jbells · 11/09/2010 18:57

its gradually gone up from around day 30, my cycle normally lasts 7 days

AmandaCooper · 11/09/2010 18:45

When was the temperature rise?

jbells · 11/09/2010 18:12

ovranette pill, havnt charted them but was taking them most mornings and they were between 36.2 and 36.4
