cowboy lover, aparently there can be some implantaion spotting when you get pregnant which is the egg nestling in the layer of the womb? never had it myself but being only pg the once its not suprising

Ok probably TMI but what the hell does very pink light spotting mean? Only lasted a few hours?

I was waiting for pant snot as I thought it was ovulating day but then I had that? Was looking forward to pouncing on my DH for the weekend but then this happened!

Dont want to google or I will be pregnant, my womb is falling out or I am about to wont the lottery

Ladies, can you give me some advice on the luteal phase please. how do I know how long mine is? I am totally confused by it. AF comes on exactly the same date each month so does my cycle change length each month? obviously this would affect my ovulation days etc etc etc

Totally fed up, I splurged at sainsburys on friday when AF arrived after I was conviced I was pg, all the "symptoms" you expect but not to be. so my fridge is FULL of all the things you should avoid in pregnancy...donut is fabulous idea!

Badger, I would take a test, if you have been feeling ill all week, even if you have just come off the pill, apparently there is a surge of fertility so it might well be your lucky month!!!

Is so hard to know best time to test especially if you've only recently stopped pill. I am aiming will have 28 day cycle but don't know yet which makes it even harder to know when. Confused!

My friend fell pregnant almost immediately after coming off the pill after 17 years so I suppose it could be possible.......

I felt a bit queasy during first cycle after coming off pill but nothing like you've mentioned.

Hi Ladies, I need your advice on this one.

I have been feeling nauseous for a week now. It's been completely bearable most of the time, however since 2 days ago, it's been near overwhelming. I've had a couple of bad nights, waking up feeling sick and have been able to eat half a bagel only this morning I feel so bad. It's just nausea, not actually being sick, but it's bad enough for a sickness-phobic like me!

I've been putting it down to fake symptoms until now. I really want to test but I am not sure it isn't a waste of money at this stage. I only came off the pill at the end of last month, it's been 24 days since the start of my final withdrawal period, and I've been on the pill for so long I don't know how long my cycle is.

Do you think I should test now?

AF arrived overnight with a vengeance :( and is really painful just to rub it in!

But am resolute....a large cream donught will be purchased shortly ;) There's always next month, onwards and upwards!!

couldnt agree more...so far this month...sore 'in the way feeling' boobs, stomach cramps, feeling irritable (or perhaps that's impatient... the POAS Pixie possesed me this morning and i did a test, although 5 days before i'm due, it was BFN but I don't know if that's cos I'm not pg or cos it's too early. Can anyone advise pls? Happy weekend!

Would love to join you......am TTC for first time, and am surprised how my 'relaxed' approach has already turned into a near obsession!

Have PCOS so have been battling for 2 years with my weight and taking Yasmin to help symptoms, got green light from Doc to start TTC in May but we freaked out and only came off the pill in June and only started trying properly (albeit in a 'relaxed' way!) in July/August.

AF was due last weekend and took test early and was negative but was ok with that....was then almost a week late and convinced was pregnant....pains different to usual period cramps and just some other stuff....reading these chats made me feel better that I am not totally irrational

Think AF has arrived today, although very light, almost spotting so still not sure what to think.....resisting temptation to POAS again! Trying to stay relaxed as think PCOS will make my journey a long one.....

i lovemarmite, i am jealous of those people who just 'know' they are preganant cause i didnt have a bloody clue the first time round! but some of my friends 'just know' without testing, suppose it depends on how in tune with your body you are?

Morning girls and happy Friday all round.I'm waiting for my friend to arrive so we can drink lots of wine working from home this morning so am catching up with all I missed yesterday.

Although I've joined the thread for August being our first month of 'trying' I don't think we are really trying in the true sense as I only had my implant out a month ago and have had no period at all in that time. No idea when I ovulate or even if I ovulate and with nothing to start counting from I'm a bit up in the air!

Of course, my DH sincerely believes he has the most super of super sperm going so I'll be pregnant already - yes? Good luck to everyone waiting / testing etc over the weekend.

Hi. AF is due tomorrow. Really hoping it doesn't come but not feeling too optimistic. I don't 'feel' pregnant. Do you think I'd know or have a feeling if I was?

I've been buying maternity tops for a while by mistake, just liked the shape of them and then DH points out that there is a space for a bump under there, but thats the danger of TK Maxx I guess!!!

Got some pre natal vitamins tonight, it's like the first deliberate "trying to get pregnant" thing we have done differently to normal!!!

crazy how you start imagining symptoms, so far I've convinced myself I was feeling sicky - but think prob had tummy upset as also had other symptoms :-) sorry tmi!
Also convinced my boobs ache and that I have a really rubbery feeling jelly like ring around my lower belly that wasn't there before... however i think i am probably just going bonkers! I think i'm on CD21 and 7 days after ovulation although i have no proof that i even ovulated as couldnt get those damn tests to work... confusing and impatient :-) need will power not to test too early, convincing myself will not happen this month, that way will be surprised if does. I definetly think there can be false prenancy, especially when you want to be pregnant so much, but everyone telling you to relax and not worry doesnt help either!!!! TBH you might be so worried about not being pregnant that you are making yourself feel sick? I dont have any useful stuff to say though, but fingers crossed you actually are!

I've had a pretty good week, no testing, not worrying about things and DH is having a grand time trying for a baby, he is enjoying this stage anyway!!! I've started mooching online to see what fun stuff you can get for babies, last night I was doing an ebay search for maternity clothes as my trousers are getting tight, thats mostly to do with chocolate i think though, but it's good to dream :)

It reminds me of a couple of times last year when I thought I might be pregnant. I only thought so using my "completely wrong" female intuition; I didn't actually have any hard facts at all and knew nothing about ovulation, checking temperature, or in fact, anything at all about my own fertility. So I just took a pregnancy test, did it in the middle of the day,a few days BEFORE my next period. Looking back, I can't believe how much money I wasted on these tests...

A question for all of you, is there really such a thing as a nervous pregnancy? i.e. wanting so much to be pregnant that you get the symptoms without the actual event. I've been trying to stop myself from analysing every physical event I've experienced in the last week and fear I am turning into a bit of a hypochondriac. I've been off the pill 3 weeks, so hardly likely but have been feeling nauseous at random moments and am stuffing myself with nuts and dried fruits like a complete nutcase trying to stave it off like they say in the books. I'm going to become enormous through sheer nut-eating.

Been TTC for 8 months now - trying not to get obsessed with charting temperatures / checking cervical mucas (vile) and other things I never knew about until I started reading things on here!!

i am going to google lazy overy. i dont think i ovulated this month. i can only tell form the slimy feeling 'down bleow' and using ovulation tests but i used 5, yes 5 around the time i expected to be ovulating, all negative, and no slimy stuff either, so wondering if i have not ovulated this month? does that happen? is it common?
