Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

Well, am feeling like absolute crap, and have been all day. Been suffering from dizziness for the last 2 weeks (but prob just getting up too quick), and now this!!!
My stomach feels like it is in a mass of knots, cramping like hell!!
Came off pill 27th Aug, had withdrawel, but too soon for 1st AF.

Me and DH have been at it like rabbits for the last few weeks trying to get preggars with #1 (sorry if TMI!)
Been on pill for 13 years so got a feeling my body is just adjusting, but it is awful!!
Why is it all I notice now is everyone being pregnant? No fair.
Going on holiday Saturday for 17 days, so hoping we'll be all relaxed and nature will take the correct course!!
How's everyone getting on with the saliva thingy?? Not even thought about doing the temperature or anything like that yet. x

MadKatz · 21/09/2010 10:06

Just waiting for my saliva microscope to arrive now. Has anyone used one? How did you get on?

MummyAbroad · 20/09/2010 22:11

Hi goldmaple

Did you buy the TCOYF software? My book came with a CD and I got all exited until it said "Trial Version" so I didnt bother installing it. Is it as good as/better than www.fertilityfriend.com do you know??

Lizandlulu I draw the line at saliva thingy. Girls gotta have some boundaries Grin Grin

lizandlulu · 20/09/2010 21:42

well i am planning on having sex every other day from now on, so i cant miss it, dh will be pleasedGrin

goldmaple · 20/09/2010 21:33

wobblewatcher very sorry to hear about AF, but you have a great attitude and I am betting that the 2nd month TTC is going to be lucky for a lot of us!!

deysee I would test first thing in the morning, then everyday every two or three days after. But get cheapies.

mummyabroad i lurv TCOYF too! and lizandlulu I second what mummyabroad wrote. You can only tell after ovulation happened with temps... but CM lets you know when your fertile (yay! Wink)

petitech have fun in spain! Holidays are supposed to be lucky!!

lizandlulu · 20/09/2010 21:27

mummyabroad, it just gets better, weeing in pots/onsticks/licking microscope thingies/mucus gathering.....now vaginally testing temperatureGrin

i just better get bloody pregnant soon, all this inspection is doing my head in!

yes deysee first thing in the morning is best. if i was you i would be tempted to do it first thing in the morning, but i am VERY impatientSmile

MummyAbroad · 20/09/2010 19:38

Deysee Yes, first thing in the morning is best, (especially if you are testing early) or if you cant do that then "save up" your wee for 4 hours before doing the test.

MummyAbroad · 20/09/2010 19:34

Hi LizandLulu,

I have just finished reading TCOYF its great you wont regret it. You need to buy a special thermometer to temp. Its called a basal body temperature themometer (BBT) Its worth it because you will use it everyday and in a sleepy state, it works faster than a normal one and measures in a smaller temp range. You can take your temp orally or vaginally.

You must take your temperature as soon as your eyes open and before you get up or move around. Then record the temps, you are looking for a HIGH not a LOW. In fact three high temps in a row means you have ovulated (18 means preggas Grin) You CANNOT use temps to predict ovulation only to know it has happened. This is much more useful than you might think as TCOYF explains.

I would also really recommend going on www.fertilityfriend.com you can input in all your temps, OPK's HPY's, dates you have sex etc and it works everything out for you so you dont have to actually puzzle over your chart. (its free) There is also a tutorial section where you can learn all about temping.

Right better stop now as I sound like one big advert Grin

good luck everyone!

Deysee · 20/09/2010 18:42

question, I drink a lot of water during the day so my wee is quite weak. just done HPT as 2 days late (never happened before, regular as clockwork normally). Test was negative. do I wait a few days and test again first thing in the morning? TTC#1 so its all very new and confusing!

lizandlulu · 20/09/2010 17:30

ohh ment to say i got a taking charge of your fertility book off ebay for £3.99! cause it is an old cover picture but from what i can gather, still the same book inside. hopefully i will understand more after reading it.

to do the tempurature thing, do you just take your temperature every morning and make a note of it, then if it lowers slightly, you are about to ovulate? can you use an in the ear thingy, or does it have to be under the tongue? i think i might do that if it is that simple, sounds far better than the saliva thingGrin

love4lady · 20/09/2010 12:29

petitech · 19/09/2010 19:02

Great positive thinking Wobblewatcher :o, here's to the next month everyone! I'm off to sunny Spain tomorrow so hoping some chilling out and sunshine will do some good towards the general baby-making goal. Have a good week everyone!

Wobblewatcher · 19/09/2010 18:55

Started bleeding a little while ago. Just like a late period. I did know something was up, oh well. I do seem to fall quite easily so hopefully will happen again soon and stick!!

For all those with bfns, let's all look forward to next month!!!

Going to Smile to cheer myself up!!! Don't want any sad faces!!!!!

cowboylover · 19/09/2010 18:10

Hi all!

Just checking in and been enjoying seeing more graduates in the May thread.

I am still feeling good and got to say before I had my lines I would agree that I had no symptons at all so fingers crossed for you waiting. I had a little smile yesterday when I had my ovulating reminder come up on my phone! Grin

KLou111 · 19/09/2010 17:30

Hi all, not been on for a while, but been reading all the goings on.

Congrats cowboylover and wobblewatcher can't say I'm not envious!!
On 1st month after coming off the pill 27th Aug. Bought a stack of tests on ebay for around £4.50 for 25, so here's hoping I don't need too many :)
Not had any signs of cramp, sore boobs etc, but no doubt will have some signs when AF is on it's way!
Good luck all, it's great reading about all the goings on x

BabsH · 19/09/2010 17:16

Afternoon,

Congrats WW, hope the appointment with the GP goes well :)

Hubbie and I are finishing off the last of our wedding champers, so no more booze in the house, hard job, but someone had to do it and I am trying to knit a winter hat for myself, but my noggin seems to be a lot bigger than most peoples, so might have to rip it back a bit and make it larger, still its entertaining for a sunday afternoon :)

chocolateme · 19/09/2010 11:43

CONGRATULATIONS WOBBLEWATCHER Grin Envy x

Wobblewatcher · 19/09/2010 11:41

Well I'm one, possibly two days late now. Yesterdays test was faint but very noticeable IYSWIM. Not going to test anymore, I'm pregnant, just hope everything is ok. Gonna speak to GP tomorrow and ask if he thinks I should have counselling or something else as I'm very very anxious when pregnant and I know it's not normal to be quite as bad as this. I can't enjoy it and it's horrible and I feel sorry for myself that I can't just make the most of it Sad

Will see what he says. How is everyone else??

chocolateme · 19/09/2010 11:35

Hi all
Not been here in awhile & still NP Sad though this month I am late, 2 days but negative on a 10 miu test dont know whats going on. Good luck every one Smile

petitech · 17/09/2010 18:43

Fingers x'd for you wobblewatcher. Everyone else feeling disappointed, don't be too blue... I'm sure it will happen when it's supposed too and in the meantime we can all keep each other company on here. MADKATZ I bought a saliva test thing and fully recommend... also just got thermometer delivered... so have all eventualities covered hehe! Enjoy the weekend everyone and keep :) xxx

goldmaple · 17/09/2010 15:41

Sorry to hear that MadKatz hopefully the saliva monitor will give you clearer signals. I've thought about one of those myself...

Yay! wobblewatcher Congrats! A line is a line! Just retest in a few days to see if its darker and then hopefully both tests will work.

MadKatz · 17/09/2010 14:38

Not been on here for quite a while so thought I would pop in.
Very frustrating times.....temps and cm all over the shop and no real signs, so in my naivety thought maybe its my body saying 'yay you've done it, you're pregnant'
No Chance.
Came on last night.
So here we go again.
I am going to persist with all the test though and I'm even going to buy a saliva monitor (how obsessed am I getting?)

love4lady · 17/09/2010 12:19

yeah the girls are Petal Rainbow Blossom, Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo. cute names for a wee baby but cant see them on a grown woman
