Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

i said that too klou i am 30 and she looked miles older than me! she must have had a rough life! i spent most of the programme with my mouth open, especially when the midwife was using the forceps and pulling with all her weight! i just cant get how they dont hurt the baby!

i am sure that what you are feeling is your baby!Grin you can def feel it that early, i did when i was 13 weeks too. not felt much since, but have been starting to feel it abit more, but got to be standing or sitting still to feel it. it does feel like there is a butterfly in there tryng to get out, very jerky if you know what i mean.

KLou111 · 08/02/2011 10:43

PS, just ordered 2 little wrap top cardi's from Mamas and Papas, got a £5 gift card through, so were £8 delivered (clever marketing that on their part!)

KLou111 · 08/02/2011 10:41

Morning all. I had a fluttery feeling in my belly, top of bikini line area, like butterflies, and a tickly sensations last night. Call me crazy, but do you think this could have been baby moving? Am 13+5 today so thought this may be a little early, but just thought would ask you opinion.

Watched OBEM for the first time last night. Didn't look too bad. There was NO WAY that woman with the heart problem was my age (31), I do NOT look anywhere near THAT old!!! She looked 40+ at least!

lizandlulu · 08/02/2011 10:40

did anyone watch one born every minuite last night? i am still in shockShock and now a tiny bit scared that i have got to go through labour, but i have said to dh, i am going to try to move alot more thani did with dd as i spent most of the time just laid on the bed. i am going to try to walk and let gravity do its thing.

that pillow sounds good, although must be a odd shapeGrin

GruffaloMama · 08/02/2011 07:44

Hi all. I wouldn't worry klou. My labour was (ahem) traumatic and I've still decided it won't put me off. Mind you, I am insisting on a c section Grin. Gotta go -on train. Will catch up properly later.

KLou111 · 07/02/2011 20:40

Apparently the DreamGenii helps you stay lying on your side, as it has a pillow bit that goes behind you, and makes it more comfy when your bump grows as it's got a bit that goes between your legs. Also it is a nursing pillow for when you're BF. I need a BF one anyway, so thought would get one of these to see if it helps me sleep.

We'll be having 2 little ones so will come in helpful next time :) (That is if labour is not enough to put me off!!) Hmm

lizandlulu · 07/02/2011 19:34

ohh en suite sounds lovely.

whats special about the dreamgenii? i see all these pillows and wonder what the difference is with them all, i have a v shaped one but thats all. and i am loate to buy a special one seeing as this is my last pregnancy, i aint doing this again!

KLou111 · 07/02/2011 16:44

ha ha! Know what you mean Liz I only just got in to cancel the LoveFilm subscription I did for 14 days, despite saying to myself, as soon as I get the DVD, I will call them to cancel, and stick it straight back in the post. It went in the post today, cancelled subs last Friday and it runs out tomorrow. Fingers crossed they get the disc tomorrow as it only cancels if they have all the discs you've borrowed!

Bought a DreamGenii pillow today, as it's been recommended to me for my sleeping problem :) Were about £40 online, won a new one on ebay for £25 earlier, so very smug with myself lol!

Got our new bath suite delivered today, cannot wait to have a bath again (we only have a shower cubicle). It's lovely, one of those l-shape ones with a screen that comes around so the water doesn't splash out.
DH putting us in an en suite too which I can't wait for either :)

lizandlulu · 07/02/2011 16:19

ohh thats very handy klou i love doing stuff like that, owt for nowtGrin i have received the aptamil polar bear today, so cute! i havent done any of the other links you have out on as i f its something that you have to cancel after a certain time, i always forget and ends up costing me moneyGrin

KLou111 · 07/02/2011 11:26

Another free nappy link here

Hope everyone OK today. I have put on 1lb woo hoo!!

I went back to my pre preggo weight after Chrimbo, and nothing gained since, so am very pleased to be finally gaining weight. Odd ay??

lizandlulu · 06/02/2011 19:19

i did say last ight just before bed, 'why are these clothes here?' to which he replied ' i am going to sort them in a min' he has been out all day and not long been in, but i have sorted a load of dark for tomorrow morning, the basket is right there in the bathroom next to hte pile and its killing me not to sort it and make the load up, but i am not going to do it.

i wouldnt worry too much about the position in which you sleep, there was a thread on here abit back about it and some 2nd and subsequent pregnant women were still sleeping on their stomachs at 5 and 6 months.
i personally dont think there is much to it. do you move around when you do get to sleep?

my fave position at the mo, is my bottom half on my side with my head on the corner of dh's pillowGrin his pilows are abit hhigher than mine, but to have mine that high all the time makes it uncomfy. i only go to sleep in this postion, then move about. i used to sleep in the recovery position, but the pressure on my stomach makes me feel ill, so cantSad

KLou111 · 06/02/2011 16:51

I've seen the gliding chairs to Liz, I think they come with a footstool too some of them. I really like them, they look so comfy! Will have a look on ebay. Think they sell them in Ikea quite reasonably too, but our nearest is over an hour away.

My mum text me last night, said she can't wait for me to go back to the Midlands at the end of March so we can go pram hunting lol (parents are buying that, and no doubt half of Mothercare!!) Can't wait. Seems a while off now though. Should have had my next scan by then too :)

Re the clothes, I'd really have to say something, suttley, but say something as he'll just keep doing it. He may not realise what he's doing hun, and it's stressing you out unnecessarily x

I am really struggling to sleep at the mo. I only like sleeping on my back, and I am trying not to do this as not good for baby when you get into 2nd trimester apparently. I am absolutely knackered as I don't like lying on my side or front as my arms fall asleep!

lizandlulu · 05/02/2011 21:54

ohh klou that flapjack sounds delishSmile dd has found she likes flapjack too so might make some when i get a free half hour.

i want of of them gliding chairs, i keep looking on local ebay bargains and there is nearly always one or 2 on there in my area so might get one from there, i dont really want to buy a new one of those, would rahter spend the money on the pushchairGrin

and dont get doing anything sill y like lifting stuff you dont need to!!!! a lad at work said this week that he should do MORE lifting, that he doesnt think it will affect me. well sorry but i dont have a dog and bark myself. whats the point in doing summat i dont have to when we employ people to do it for us!!! i dont usually think like that, or put the other workers down, but he made me mad trying to tell me what to do when his wife doesnt work AT ALLAngry

glad you are feeling well iwish i am feeling alot better but still have very sensitive nipples!

CLOTHES UPDATE - small pile now accumalatingAngry

Iwish · 04/02/2011 23:27

Hi klou. Im ok thanks. Boobs are sore and I'm a bit tired so all in all a happy bunny Grin.
Yeh you should take it easy - you can relax now and get your DH to do all the hard work Wink hope your belly is less sore now.

told my best friend our news tonight so thats it for telling people now, only a couple of people know and I'll keep it that way till the scan. She was thrilled and has already decided what to buy him/her! Talk about forward planning.

KLou111 · 04/02/2011 18:29

Hi Iwish how're ya doing? I am sure whatever nursery you do will look good.
No sickness here for a while now, so think that's well and truly gone thank god! Nips hurt occasionally a bit, not constantly which is good.
Lifted something heavy earlier, and have strained my belly area. I did the same a couple of weeks ago. DH not a happy bunny with me, said some things aren't worth doing if I am going to strain myself, or risk hurting baby. Hoping everything OK, will just have to take it easy for the weekend.

Iwish · 04/02/2011 18:12

Hi Ladies!

Awww so sweet decorating your nurserys! We have kind of thought what we would do but it mostly includes little pastel coloured ducks. it looks nice in my head lol!

How are you all feeling? sick and tired? I have sore boobs and thats it.

KLou111 · 04/02/2011 18:05

Sounds lovely Liz. Will be nice to have a room that both sexes can be comfortable in. Shame about the burglary, bastards!!

I'm doing a Winnie the Pooh theme as even though little one won't be sleeping in there for a while after he/she is born, so could get away with not doing anything until then, I don't really want DH to be decorating after he/she is born, I want him helping me lol!!

Planning a very pale lemon for the walls, I've already got some pastel colour background winnie canvas prints, and will get a winnie border for the top of the wall (found one in B&Q), and will get some nice blinds, so when I am BF, I can slightly open them to overlook the garden in my rocking chair (sounds very romantic doesn't it, but I am sure it will be FAR from romantic!)
All the furniture I want white, and will probably get a nice winnie rug.
I haven't planned it or anything, honest Hmm

Aren't we mad!! But the bumps will be babies before we know it! Still no bump here as yet :(

Oh, just made some muesli flapjacks, sooooooo good!! Had some muesli in the cupboard (which I have swapped recently in favour of rice crispies :), so thought would look up if I could use to do flapjacks, and you can.
In case your interested:
100g sugar,
100g butter/marg,
50g honey,
200g muesli (or 100g each muesli/porridge oats.
20 mins in a 190 oven, leave to cool.

NICE!

lizandlulu · 04/02/2011 17:25

i think it was the emmas diary one i got from argos, it was bit rubbish but cant complain seeing as its freeGrin

have you thought about colours in the babys room? i thinki am going to do mine lilac and aqua with lemon curtains. its what i did for dd when she was born, but as we were burgaled 2 days after she was born and we moved out the same day to mum and dads, she never got to sleep in it. but it looked so pretty. i think i am going to go for a jungle animal theme to make it abit more boyish in case i have a boy. but want nice colours and the ones i have seen are all abit garish. then if i do have another girl i think pink items will go with the pastels nicely, what do you think?

KLou111 · 04/02/2011 15:56

So good those bounty packs I think esp as it's a freebie :)
Have you got the Emmas Diary one?

My baby goodies have arrived. DH a bit speechless as everything so small (doh :) ), he can't wait now, almost a third of the way in, yippee!

I was talking about what still needed to be done in the house today (been doing it up, so gotta get a shift on now as want to get it all done by end May), and mentioned we're going to need the Dads' help. I said my Dad can do the nursery (he's really good a wallpapering etc, our walls are crap, so either need re-plastering or lining). DH said, I am doing that room, with a big grin on his face, was very sweet :)

lizandlulu · 04/02/2011 12:33

well i think he is taking the hint as no clothes on the bathroom floor since that day, even encouraged dd to put hers in the basket too last night Hmm wont last long! what winds me up most i think is that the basket is right there in the bathroom, next ot the clothes! it infuriates me that he must see all of these little jobs that need doing and he must think 'oh its alright she'll do it'

i got my free bounty pack yesterday from siansburys, just dringking my free can of appletiser from itSmile

KLou111 · 03/02/2011 20:38

Glad you got your point across Liz now for the clothes.....:)
We've got a laundry basket in the bathroom, so DH doesn't have that excuse lol.

It seems that the DH's (once they realise what they are doing) are being a bit more thoughtful. I had a small tiff with mine yesterday about our new bathroom stuff. We were ordering a new bath, but the end panel doesn't come with it, only the side and they wanted another £55 for it. DH said he would rather tile it, which I said, we would need to tile the side then as it would look odd.

He didn't want to do that, and in the end I stormed off upstairs, slammed the bedroom door and said do what the fuck you like, if you want it to look shit, make it look shit I don't care!

10 mins later he came up, apologised, and ordered the panel :)

He would NEVER have done that (the apology bit) if I hadn't have been pregnant! I think he's getting a softie lol Wink

Will look at Sainsbury's online at their stuff if it's on there. We haven't got one (only Tesco, Morrison, Aldi and Lidl) where we are and the next place is 20 miles away, and they only have an Asda so online is good for me :)

GruffaloMama · 03/02/2011 19:44

Oh Liz - glad he's realised he's been taking you for granted - it's one of my bugbears with DH - he's great but he does sometimes lose track. He's a bugger for the clothes on the bathroom floor thing. I did do the leaving them there and eventually (after a week) put them all in a black bin bag and hid them. Naughty but essential...

lizandlulu · 03/02/2011 17:36

i think dh knows he has upset me cause he is offering to take me and dd out for tea, i dont usually go out on a school night but should only be an hour so dont mind really. if he does leave the clothes on the floor again i will leave them there then.

thought i would elt you know sainsburys has 1/3 off some baby stuff. i got 2 packs of pram sheets for just over £3 each. they have got allsorts of bigger things like walkers, bouncers, monitors and pop up bassinets which i nearly convinced myself that i needed, but didnt.
they have a hauk condor (i think thats what it was) which had a pram unit, seat unit and car seat all for about £215 which was good i thought.

i also bought some maternity pads as they were only a quid a pack. i know its too early to be thinking about this stuff but you are talking to the girl who has already made a list for my hospital bagGrin

MadKatz · 03/02/2011 13:33

No, no cravings yet, just getting back to eating normally!!

I would leave the clothes where he left them Liz at least for a few days or longer if you can stand it. See how he reacts

KLou111 · 03/02/2011 10:05
