Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

i tested saturday. thats just it gruffalo i am not SURE i have ovulated, i was only guessing from previous cycles and the ewcm. i think i am going to have to buy a bulk load of ov tests and do it everyday so i can be sure.

i stopped doing the temps when i went to new york so have no real indication of ovulationAngry

GruffaloMama · 22/11/2010 14:13

It is - I'm on day 40 too - still tracking my days/temps as part of my obsessive 'am I still pg?' thing. Liz have you tested again? I was thinking about this last night too - are you sure you OV'ed? I have PCOS and before I had DS it wasn't uncommon for me to have v long cycles - I know that travel can postpone OV in a similar way.

MadKatz · 22/11/2010 13:17

Hi all,

Day 40 Liz? Gosh that's a long cycle. Have you tested?

lizandlulu · 21/11/2010 19:55

evening ladies, i am so glad everything is all well on here.

gruffalo, you made me chuckle with the knicker-checking (well if you dont laugh, you would cry wouldnt you!) still no sign of my af, its day 40 now, its bloody ridiculous and everytime i feel wet 'down there' i am sure af has come, but still no, nothingAngry

well i am off to have a bath seeing as dd is in bed unusually early, will check bck in tomorrowSmile

GruffaloMama · 21/11/2010 17:33

klou no need to say sorry - I didn't think you were being nosey. If things were a just a little different I deffo would tell her. Everything seems to have settled down so hopefully it'll all be okay. I just have about 7 weeks ahead of obsessive knicker-checking Smile but if it works (the baby, not the knicker-checking) it'll be worth every minute.

KLou111 · 21/11/2010 16:04

oh am sorry Gruffalo, wasn't meaning to be nosey, thought it was because it was early and didn't want to tell anyone yet.
I'm sure everything will go smoothly for you, and I hope it makes your mum's year when she finds out there's another GC on the way x

GruffaloMama · 21/11/2010 14:42

I would but she's been sick for quite a long time and pretty depressed. Me being preg would lift her certainly but if I had told her and then lost it, it would be really hard for her (and to be honest I would have enough to deal with my own reactions without worrying about how she's taking it). Also with DS she told me about 35 times about the miscarriage she had before she had me. I know she was trying to be supportive but it wasn't what I needed to hear.

I'm sure I will tell her soon - I'm going down to see her in a fortnight (they live 200 miles away) so I'll probably tell her then.

Madkatz - v jealous - am trying to sort a babysitter so we can go. Glad to hear it's good.

KLou111 · 21/11/2010 12:41

Why can't you tell your mum Gruffalo?
I know you're not meant to say anything yet, but you could tell your mum couldn't you?

MadKatz · 20/11/2010 23:16

Have just been to see the new Harry Potter......very good

GruffaloMama · 20/11/2010 22:57

thanks liz. Will still keep my fingers crossed for you.

Still not really believing it. Think I'll be in denial until the 12 week scan. Thanks to all for the last few days - it really has made a tremendous difference knowing that there are a few people out there that I can witter on to. DH is great but he doesn't really get it and I can't tell my mum yet. My best mate doesn't have kids/hasn't been trying so wouldn't understand either. So thank you!

lizandlulu · 20/11/2010 15:18

thanks all, i wont hold out much hope. it was a clearblue digital so should be good enough to detect it, i have had NO sex in the last week, with dh being away, so i doubt very much its wrong.

i am SO glad everything is still a-ok with you gruffalo go and treat yourself so something vry prettySmile

MadKatz · 20/11/2010 13:38

Sorry about your BFN liz x

KLou111 · 20/11/2010 11:55

So sorry Liz keep thinking positive though. The AF witch still hasn't caught you under her spell yet, so there is still hope x

Glad everything still OK with your bean Gruffalo x

GruffaloMama · 20/11/2010 10:40

Sorry Liz though it might just be too early for it to show - so frustrating though. (I nearly threw out the first internet cheapy I did as the reaction was so faint I hardly spotted it).

Klou agree with your DH about Children in Need. Bloody awful TV last night and I didn't even have anything saved on the Sky box. My DH was out so I tucked myself up in bed early. Unfortunately DS had other ideas - he's teething and kept me up for quite a while. VERY tired this morning. And grumpy. Am being a right moody cow - can cry at the drop of a hat (couldn't possibly watch children in need because of the sad bits where they tell you about neglected kids) - but I was like that when first preg with DS so actually quite pleased...

I did a test in between him waking up - still positive - and a stronger result so hopefully everything's still okay in there.

lizandlulu · 20/11/2010 08:07

nope, big fat letters that say 'NOT PREGNANT'Sad must just have ovulated late and will still be getting af sometime soon, but this has put my cycles all out of sync, for the last 4-5 cycles they hhave all been 27-30 daysSad

lizandlulu · 19/11/2010 21:38

ohh keep us posted ilovemarmite79 Smile

i am def testing tomorrow morning, first wee of the day.

gruffalo i am taking me mtoehr out tomorrow, then got a kids party 5-7, and seeing as how dh is away in benirom with his mates and has been there since tuesday and comes home tomorrow, he is taking me to ikea on sunday. i need a load of photo frames, and got a list of jobs for him to do on his return!

KLou111 · 19/11/2010 21:38

Thank you gruffalo

Hi Ilovemarmite fingers x-d

Not a lot going on this weekend. DH just told me we're taking a drive into town tomorrow (we're in the sticks) to get some beer lol - he's pulling his hair out to Children In Need at the moment. Not the greatest I must admit!!

GruffaloMama · 19/11/2010 21:05

Sounds good then - fingers crossed for you.

Ilovemarmite79 · 19/11/2010 20:08

Thanks Gruffalomama. I keep thinking maybe I'm just late but was using ovulation tests so pretty certain when I ov'ed. That would mean even with a 16 day luteal phase (usually 14) I would come on thursday.

GruffaloMama · 19/11/2010 19:43

Hi Klou here's that link on babycentre

Ilovemarmite welcome back - it's hard to wait to test isn't it... It might just be a bit early for it to show up or maybe you ov'ed late?

So what's everyone up to this weekend (apart from madkatz Wink

Ilovemarmite79 · 19/11/2010 18:46

Hello, not been on this thread for a while. Just came to say AF is 4 days late but HPT are BFN. Not sure what to do next. Trying to wait a week.

lizandlulu · 19/11/2010 17:23

cheers peeps! i am kind of pinning my hopes on it being positive, otherwise its just not good!

KLou111 · 19/11/2010 16:36

Thank you Gruffalo will have a look. Hope to read good news from you this weekend, big (virtual) hugs x

Good luck Liz I look forward to hopefully reading you good news tomorrow x

Madkatz Happy shagging x

GruffaloMama · 19/11/2010 12:39

Hi all. Things still okay here - will test again at the weekend and let you know.

Klou - I read something last night that said that post-ov your cervix can be a bit irritated which can occasionally cause very minor spotting - so maybe that? I think it was on the Babycentre website (not that I was obsessively reading anything about unexplained bleeds, you understand...

Liz timing sounds about right. Will be thinking of you then - we can virtually hold hands whilst waiting for the magic lines to show up!

Madkatz good luck for the weekend!

MadKatz · 19/11/2010 10:55

Positive thoughts and hugs coming your way gruffalo

Good Luck Liz, sounds promising

Well I should be Ov now according to FF but definitely no EWCM not even much CM at the mo so god knows whats going on! Will try the saliva monitor in the morning. At least its the weekend so lots of BD'ing time available!!
