Just had to dash in to add my congrats to MLS. Feel quite emotional that she finally has her baby. I remember not so long ago a post about crying after a playdate with another Mum who announced she was pregnant and hadn't particularly wanted another when MLS was desperate to be pregnant... and now little Kitty who was so long awaited is here :)
so chuffed.

We now have a right glut of girls though!! Jude will have his pick of girlfriends

sleep..... hmmm... from the mists of time - it is such a small slice of time. I know it doesn't feel like it when you are trapped in the headlights of sleep deprivation.
So wish we could jet over and give you a few hours off barbie Please don't take this the wrong way but she is itsey bitzy small. I didn't do the c/c till ds was about a year, was often told I was making a rod for my back etc etc. The problem is they and we are all different and there is so much conflicting advice you end up going round in circles.

I do know that you are a fantastic mum who knows intuitively what your dd needs and it will be ok.x

Really feel for you all suffering with battle of the wills babies and sleep deprivation, those babies are definitely keeping you on your toes. At least there are a few of you going through it at the same time so you know you are not alone with it and truly understand what it is like. If only there was fairly sleep mother to sort it all out for you.

sabs sounds like you are having a very stressful time, I hope this week brings good news and you can settle in to work properly, it is hard enough going back to work after Mat leave without this added stress.

Louey i am so sorry that you had to go through your EDD pretty much alone and coping with so much else going on. It's just crap isn't it? Mine is in a couple of weeks and I know I am going to find it difficult too. Hugs to you x

4ever hope your DD is ok, it is worrying to see them poorly, I would pop her along to the docs to to reassure you and check her over, especially as she is still so little.

4ever hope biscuit gets better soon too - its horrible when they are ill. You feel so helpless.

Huge hugs to all of you going through horrible times with no-sleeping babies and to sabs for a hard first week back at work. Hope the interview goes ok on Thursday. What will be, will be. You can only do your best.

I know I've missed loads of you out but this is a really quick update from me. Week of EDD was just dreadful and I was in a very bad place, couldn't stop crying all week. Not helped by DH being away on business most of the week and AF turning up 3 days early (20 day cycle ).

I'm now feeling a bit more like myself but we have been having major stresses about Isaac's schooling and it looks as though my boys are going to be in different schools next September We have found a potential school for Isaac which has an ASD unit but its full so I don't know where that leaves us.

We are off on holiday tomorrow so I've been frantically trying to get work done before we go. Haven't really started packing yet. We really need a holiday but in some respects its come at the wrong time with everything else going on.

Right, got to go and (try) and do some work before I get myself sacked

My poor little biscuit threw up loads last night, actually ran out of babygros and stuck a wash on at 9pm fingers crossed no sick since but think she caught dhs stinking cold cos has been coughing sneezing and has a runny nose.. She is sleeping but has just woken with watery eyes and wobbly lip Quite a worry..

Morning :) well first night in his own room he woke at 9.30pm & back down with just a quick cuddle, then 2.30 for a feed & straight back down til 6 :) v pleased with that, will see if it lasts. feel quite about my me moan yest but thanks all for being so nice.

Barbie haven't read your other thread yet but will in a mo.You and Cupcake can both have a huge hug from me. Lack of sleep is bloody awful and feels so isolating. We're not winning the war here either. DH was up from 3.20-5.45 last night and H is now sleeping in the kitchen I wouldn't say that formula has helped her sleep, but it has helped me cope. I felt so wrung out with all the feeding and comforting and my DH couldn't help as much as he does now. I feel much better now I can leave her and she will happily feed from either breast or bottle. I'm not sure how long we'll mix feed for. I wouldn't want to give up completely to discover it made no difference. I'm still hoping that when she starts moving properly she'll tire herself out although I know that hasn't worked with Dolly.

Cupcake I too felt resentful and bitter towards DH. It's the sheer exhaustion that does it and the worry that you're somehow not bf properly cos baby isn't satisfied (not the case btw). I would say a ff would be more helpful than baby rice (and I've probably now set off some MN alarm!)

U've both done a fantastic job and shouldn't beat yourself up. I know I do it too and it's hard to escape the mummy guilt but you both need to try to find some way to distance yourself slightly to allow you some space. Sorry if this isn't coherent. Tis early and I've been awake most the night waiting on baby MLS

Morning! Still no baby MLS. Text at 6am. "This is the longest 2nd labour in history! Been 24 hours since 1st contraction. Was still only 4cm dilated at last examination an hour ago. At ;least they are letting me have gas and air now - loving it! :-D "
