moof I am so so sad for you. Life is shite, and there is no other explanation. I had to write as you asked about Medical Management. I had this - I found I had no heart beat with my twins at around 6 +3. The hospital really swayed me into medical management ( I wanted surgery)- again because my beans were so small. The procedure itself is not too bad, but was quite painful (but manageable) Get the painkillers on board - accept whatever they give you. I didn't expell all that I should have, and because of that I bled for 9 weeks in total ( retained 'products')- however there was another lady on the ward who had done 'everything' by lunch time. If I had the choice again I would go for surgery - but only because it took me so long physically to get over it - I couldn't move on emotionally. It really is up to you my love, its a personal thing I guess. I just wanted to share with you xxx whatever you choose, it will be the right decision for you xx like Tigger said - it is YOUR decision, YOUR body. Make the choice that YOU feel is right. xx

tigger rubbish time for you too, I really hope things start looking up soon xx

Sorry not to name check everyone - will do tomorrow xx

Hi all
I just miscarried this week, my first pregnancy. I was only 6 weeks and a few days but still very upset! DH and I getting used to the idea now though. We'll be starting to try again as soon as we feel ready (won't be long!) I had a private scan last night and NHS scan is tomorrow to confirm the neat and tidy and sadly empty uterus seen at the private clinic.

Wasn't very private - the receptionist tried to come in while I was legs akimbo on the bed!

So, looking forward to chatting with you all

tigger15 · 29/07/2010 20:44

Hi Moof just saw yours. I'm really sorry to hear that. I had an ERPC after waiting 3 weeks for it to come out. It was not pleasant but equally the natural way can also be very unpleasant. Try asking them if they can give you medicine to help your body miscarry. It's some sort of ulcer medicine and not every hospital offers it routinely.

I had the ERPC under GA but they initially offered it under local but then took it back after they got worried by my diabetes (long and frustrating story about how I wouldn't be able to control my diabetes under local but in the end had to do it under general when I was completely out!!). They send you home quite soon after even with a GA. You'll need at least 2 days to recover both physically and emotionally (the latter will take much longer). Don't feel pressured into doing anything.

Muser · 29/07/2010 20:42

So sorry to hear your news Moo.

Tigger that must be awful being mucked around on the HSG appointment. It sounds like things are generally tough at the moment.

Just updating the list to make sure we've got the most recent one, as I think Tigger added to an earlier version.

I see I need to add myself to the new list - is it a hint to leave?

Barren thanks for the info but I think it was someone else who asked.

I've been going through a rough few days so haven't felt much like posting.

I'm still trying to get an hsg booked but they keep on cancelling the clinics they say they've booked me in for. You can't have sex before it or for a few days after and at the moment they think it'll be either on Monday or Thursday or possibly next month. In addition, there are religious issues linked with the bleeding which may result from it that means if I don't manage to lose any chance on this cycle by medical means I'll lose them by religious ones. I've been trying to get hold of my rabbi for a week on this and he's been very hard to get hold of which has just made the whole thing more stressful.

Then when they said it might be next month (but they wouldn't know until it was too late to tell me for this month meaning I would miss 2 cycles) I told dh that this was the last test I was prepared to do because if they don't find anything with this then I don't think there's anything else they can do and the next stage is intervention. So I told him I wasn't prepared to go down any of IVF IUI routes because it's hard enough keeping my diabetes under control as it is let alone with another lot of mad hormones knocking around and I would consider adoption. At which point he said he'd never consider that and we'd just have to be satisfied with one child.

He then foolishly offered to take on things for me (ie healthwise which is impossible and I know from a previous argument he's not prepared to do any of the things I need to do diet wise to keep in control in sympathy- he misinterpreted a request to cut down on alcohol and caffeine and said his life would not be worth living if he had to do what I did for 2 1/2 weeks of each month). So I pointed out this morning that he couldn't even be bothered to chase our rabbi for an answer and left it all up to me. He said he didn't have time so after I made some rather caustic remarks he spent half the morning trying to sort that out.

I've done all my job interviews and have a recruitment consultant trying to claim credit for one I got entirely by myself because they sent my cv to the company without my authorisation. They also sent me for a position in another company telling me it was for one job when it was really for another and putting misleading and inaccurate information on my cv.

On the positive front I do appear to have found a nanny.

Anyway I just want to break down and disappear for a while so if you don't see me this will be why.

Hope you're all doing better than this.

Moof write me on FB if you want to chat anytime - didn't want to say before as didn't want to worry you or jinx things but I had early scan with HB at nearly 7 weeks - I knew I was at 7 they measured at 6, noone noticed it was small at the time although she said 6 I assumed she was wrong. Had later scan at 9 weeks and no HB any more baby stopped growing at 7 - 8 weeks - they reckoned soon after the first scan. The obstetrician at the second scan said because of my history they should have done more checks at early scan because of size issue but who knew! I will know for next time,

Anyway - because my scan was at EPU didn't have to go again but opted for ERPC as soon as possible because I needed closure and I didn't know how long it might take to happen naturally, although I did start spotting more heavily while waiting for the op.

Choose what feels right for you babe.

So sorry
So sad

So common but noone ever tells you that

Moof have sent you a msg on FB. I am so so sorry xxx If you lived near I would be round like a shot with chocolate, hugs and wine xxxxx

Moofold · 29/07/2010 19:34

Hi everyone, got bad news today. Had been feeling decidely anxious after the small for dates news at the scan last week. I was driving myself insane and couldn't wait until the next scan next week so booked a private one today. Unfortunately worst fears confirmed, no heartbeat anymore. I think I knew in my heart all was not well, not a jot of morning sickness. Although it wasn't a shock its still hard to deal with, haven't stopped crying.

As we were at a private hospital we need to go to EPU tomorrow to get re-scanned (awful thought) then talk about what to do. Last time my MMC was found at 12 week scan and I went for the charmingly named ERPC. Consultant today said he thought medical management might be suitable as bean so small. Does anyone have any experience of this to share? I need to decide at 9am tomorrow. I am loathed to wait since my stupid body didn't tell me for over 4 weeks last time so think I may need intervention.

Fucking devastated. LadyBee can i come recouperate with you? If anyone is doing the list tomorrow could you take me off the grads and onto the WTC bit? x

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 29/07/2010 19:26

I'm having another stupid day today. Keep thinking to myself that I could be CD22 instead of CD19 because last RTD was all just spotting, but I counted from the middle of it.... and been cramping like mad today, and feeling sick, and reallyreallyreallyreally want to POAS. Where IS that fishyfish?

I'm so sad right now, all of my postnatal buddies with DS are pregnant again, the last one announced that she was today, and that she would have been due only a couple of weeks after my mc-pregnancy.

sorry for not name-checking, really don't feel up to it right now.

PenguinsMummy · 29/07/2010 13:19

Hi. Would you mind if I joined in too please . I miscarried on 14th June the day before my first scan and am still a bit wobbly about it all. I am TTC #3 - have two DD's. Recently finished my WTF cycle and DH and I are now trying again.

My stats are TTC#3, cycle 1, UCL 25, CD9

hairytriangle · 29/07/2010 12:56

Hello - sorry about not name checking but sorry RTD got some of you and wave to everyone else and hello Newbies!

I'm on CD 28, and not had usual AF symptoms. A little bit of light cramping last night, and nothing today . AF should have been here this morning (usually happens overnight). I'm pee'd off as I am holding out some vain hope I could be duffed (will test again tonight if no sign) but most of all I WANNA USE MY NEW MONITOR GADGET!!! and I need AF to start (if it's coming) to be able to set it!

Don't know if I mentioned but last reflexology I got sharp stabbing pains in right fallopian tube area, so maybe things are clearing (but I'll not know until I've been looked at by the obstetrician).

women's bodies - what a pain in the proverbial

northerngoldilocks · 29/07/2010 11:44

Hello all,

I'm still lurking, was trying to decide whether to add myself and have decided it really is time to add myself to the 'grads' bit of this list, even if I'm not quite ready to post on the other thread. As Magic very sensibly says, its not going to change the outcome!

Hopefully - keep us posted re wedding dress progress, Viv and Pretty, sorry last cycle wasn't the one but fingers crossed for everyone this time - although guess that the lesson learnt is to shut the curtains when SWI........

will add myself to list when I can remember which day I'm on...

coming near to what would have been my due date so not at all happy today.

Fingers crossed delilah!

Knitter this is a lovely thread, hopefully you stay here will be short (in the nicest possible way)

Viv Pretty I am hoping this WTF cycle of mine sorts itself out... had hoped for a cycle buddy this month but it looks like it's not going to happen, grr.

Hopefully weddings.. mmm... Hoping you will keep us updated with regular dress photos.

Hi to everyone else I have missed... I need to do some work rather than spend the entire morning on here...

Still BFN, still not RTD, 16dpo unless I misread symptoms (v easy to do)
