Sorry to hear that the manshapes are being dense. Mine isn't doing too badly, just occasionally asks what the matter when he finds me in tears! But then I never make sandwiches!

Lou shame no magnum wrapper, you could have found somewhere warm to keep the stick somewhere about your h's anatomy! (how many times have you married him to throw your wedding ring s at him?)

Loujalou · 13/08/2010 13:51

Same here less the magnum wrapper. Not heard from him since I threw my wedding rings at him (to be fair this is a regular occurrence - due to my Mediterranean roots!)

My dh said he forgot about them but I found them in the car right next to an empty magnum wrapper! Bloody men.

Loujalou · 13/08/2010 13:38

Not just me then lemony! Why not say the truth. Won't make me more likely to make sandwiches for him but makes me less likely to wanr to whack him one.

Bicciebicciebiccie where are you? Miss you so much I used your name three times!!! How is Mister Ginger Nut?

It amazes me how insensitive men are and how many White lies fall out of their mouths.

My dh lied one too many times about eating his sandwiches so I don't make them any more if he wants them he makes them himself.

When I was chucking my guts up last night dh helpfully told me that the ms will stop soon and it will all be over in jan! I was really grateful for his help.

Any news Biccie?

On the plus side only three weeks of summer hols left and dh is off for two of them.

Loujalou · 13/08/2010 09:32

OMG that is awful Youngy!!! I would have thrown my toys out the pram.

Biccie do you have access to the internet? If so any news? The pit has lots of comfy cushions if you need it.

My DH was soooooo insensitive yesterday I can't believe what he said.....

To a friend of ours (who has been trying for a baby for years , and have had several MCs) he blurted out 'Got your MRS up the muppet yet?'

Friend- 'no we have got a dog now'

DH- (laughing)' you're not going to be one of these people who thinks their dog is their child are you?' haha

Yes so bleeding funny. I was really mad at him. He KNows how hard it is to concieve esp when over 40 (which she is). We have experienced the MC misery, as they have SEVERAL times, and by choice I think yes they would rather have a baby than a dog, BUT IT HASN'T HAPPENED. You bloody goon. I said he had to ring up and apologise.

Loujalou · 13/08/2010 09:20

We had an argument as I went out of my way to make him sandwiches and he told me he ate them. I found them in his car uneaten. It sounds silly but even a little white lie gets on my nerves and makes my blood boil.

I had made him sandwiches this morning before realising what he had done. Just really pissed me off.

Don't worry Lou totally normal, dh drives me mad at the minute just by breathing! He did helpfully point out he can't help but breath but it still gets on my nerves. Not sure how we have been together nearly 14 years.

Loujalou · 13/08/2010 08:17

I think I might kill TH as he is annoying. Its a small thing but he's made me really pissed off not sure I want to see him today.

Sorry - just needed to get that off my chest.

It's terrible really - my mum battled for years to get dr to recognise my bro had a milk allergy. Finally they listened but that took a couple of years & now it's now that a percentage of baby deaths are due to this allergy. But it didn't stop there cos through my sister's pregnancy with my niece she didn't have any ms unless she had anything milk based. When my niece was born she projectile vomited at every feed, she lost 2lb within days & my sister kept telling dr & midwife & HV that it was a milk allergy/intollerance. Took weeks to get her on soya milk & she ended up on solids at 6 weeks as she was losing so much weight. My sister kept being told she was trying to be a 'trendy' mother!
Luckily my brother grew out of his allergy & my niece is a very healthy almost 6 years old. Very clever & tall for her age!
I do understand (and met some) that some parents lie to dr etc to get things but there are some honest people out there too!

Icedlemonmuffin · 11/08/2010 21:53

Oldie my brother has hearing loss due to glue ear and should wear hearing aids ( but doesn't) .

When someone tells you there is something wrong with your child it is so hard. Just before starting reception dd had her eyes tested and in her right eye she couldn't even read the biggest letter on the chart. I felt so bad that I'd never noticed anything wrong just thought she was clumsy. I felt really guilty that I'd done something wrong.

Totally crap it took two years for them to listen to you though.

NOTHEROLDIE · 11/08/2010 21:13

Thanks girls :)

Fairygodmother1 · 11/08/2010 21:01

oldie thats bad news but at least you found out before starting school! I've taught a boy who is deaf & it's amazing what he can do! He has a barha (can't remember if thats the correct spelling) & lip reads. fantastic popular boy who nis doing very well at school!

Bic fingers crossed

UmBongo · 11/08/2010 19:40

Oh Oldie sorry about your bad news, but as you say at least you have found out now - finally - and can get something done about it, and well in time for starting school! I sing in a choir with a bloke who has a lovely tenor voice and wears 2 aids. Doesn't stop him at all, although we did have to wait once in a rehearsal while he changed his batteries!

Loujalou · 11/08/2010 10:55

Youngy that is sad news. I am deaf in one ear and manage without hearing aids. It is crap but I get by. Have lost hearing in the other ear which doesn't help. Been this way since I was a kid.

Biccie still got all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

BICCIE I really hope RTd doesnt show up, we need more :) :) and good news on here.

I'm still POAS still no OV for me yet.

We had bad news yesterday, I've been battling with audiologist about my 3yo who I'm convinced cant hear. They finally agreed, but said its permanant hearing loss and needs hearing aids! Far worse than we thought.:(
Took me 2 ruddy years going back and forth for them to find out. grrr. But at least it will be sorted now.

Loujalou · 11/08/2010 10:18

Have started a new fred for amusing kids and what they say here! Thought Lemony could add a few of hers and anyone else who has ever come in contact with a child probably has a few.

Hmmmm. ERTD hasn't turned up yet in spite of pink pant snot on Monday. Not officially due until tomorrow but did a test this morning and BFN :( Why oh why oh why do I do it to myself?

Still clutching at straws to win baby bingo until ERTD properly shows up.

Umbongo I'd have cried too. Hurrah for your knight :)

Lemony LOL at knickers incident Grin DS can only say a few words at the moment but he NEVER stops chatting babygubbins and I just know he's going to do running commentaries as soon as he is able.

Off to the New Forest tomorrow to hang out with my family as DH is at stag do this weekend. Hopefully will distract me from the inevitable disappointment when ERTD turns up.

UmBongo · 10/08/2010 23:02

I really am going to bed this timeBlush

UmBongo · 10/08/2010 22:54

Note to self - you won't get less tired unless you get off the f*&%ing computer and GO TO BED! (or at least make a start towards bed, need to get towels out of drier, have shower, wash hair, check ds and will probably faff around doing other jobs on the way!Hmm

Tell anyone that asks about doctors visit you have either a bad back or an ingrowing toenail. Obviously if its a kid choose the back option as if you choose toenail they will ask to see! We were at the hospital the other day when dh recognised someone and approached him for a chat! He of course asked what we were there for, he was transporting his mother, dh didn't think of an answer so we said his back! (known to be dodgy in the past!)

This was supposed to be a short post - not another rant!! Night night.

Fairygodmother1 · 10/08/2010 21:46

PMPL! The other day my B-I-L dropped me off at the DR & my niece was in the car & she kept asking why I was going to the dr! But she just wouldn't leave it alone! Bless!

We're at the casino cos our Giros have just come in Thursday is free night at Bingo son when we're skint we'll head down there!

x

NOTHEROLDIE · 10/08/2010 20:52

LOL *LEMONY" don't you just love those embarrassing questions in awkward situations?

Wot a larf.

Icedlemonmuffin · 10/08/2010 14:03

Hello Ladies nice to see every one gambling, we've gone from the bingo hall to the casino! Are we keeping the chav for the weekend?

Pre seed helps with the conception gamble, as when you are shattered and really not in the mood give the pre seed a quick squeeze (reminds me of wd40) and let your frisky other half get on with it. Not romantic I know but romance sometimes takes a back seat when ttfc!

As for children and their questions I bought dd an encyclopedia because she was driving me mad and got frustrated with me when I didn't know the answers.

Why can't fish talk? Why don't we all have willys? How does the tv/phone/Internet work?

The best one was when an Asian lady got on the bus dd says at the top of her voice 'why is that lady wearing a sheet it's boiling outside? How does she see where she is going?' I just wanted to die.

Second best, dd about 3 we are both squeezed in a little toilet together I pull down my pants dd says 'oh mommy I love your new kinickers with the bow on them' I said 'thank you' dd said ' did you buy new ones because you couldn't fit your big bum in the old ones?'

Loujalou · 10/08/2010 13:12

We need those Ocean Eleven boys to fix it so we can win at the Conception Casino!
