The May Bus

I'm feeling positive about this next cycle. Due rtd tomorrow.

If it's as long as the one I'm just finishing I'll be due sometime in early May so thought I'd do the honours and polish down the bus, stack it full of champagne and nibbles and start the engine!

Who's with me?

Hi everyone. Feels like I ovulated about 5 and a half years ago, in reality it was last Wednesday. That is with a full on busy weekend with friends visiting, working 12 hour days since with evenings busy doing gym, housework etc. You would think time would be going quickly. Dreading the fact that over the bank holiday weekend I will be 10/11/12 DPO - I need severe punishment if I test early, ok?!

Lobyd, Nicolaplus1, and Tigersmummy have you guys tested?

CharlottesClan · 25/08/2010 17:57

no idea when i ov'd as i get no symptoms and havent got round to buying any opks.

i can wait till sat morning, the whole thing was stressing me out too much, so im pretending im on the 2ww wait still... lmao

crazydayz · 25/08/2010 17:46

CharlottesClan Sorry for your BFN, hang in there. How many days post-ovulation are you? It could still be early days for the hormones. Maybe wait til Sat if you can bear it and retest if no AF. Big hug and hope you get your BFP soon.

CharlottesClan · 25/08/2010 16:14

still no af here, and still no positive test.

i am seriously sulking now.

any tips guys?

Lib76 · 25/08/2010 14:44

Prinpo sorry didn't respond sooner Smile

i told my gp i had been TTC #2 since Dec and that my cycles were irregular. She is doing various blood tests including day 21 progesterone, which i need to go back for. She said that if i hadn't conceived by Oct she wants DH to hand in sample and thereafter if still not pg will refer me. She did seem to think it was environmental (i.e harder second time when toddler in tow!)She did suggest that she would do i private referral rather than wait for nhs as i am 35 next yr and nhs wouldn't take me on!!

I asked her about angus castus and she wasn't a fan but she was very much for opks.

Hope this helps Wink

owlshoes · 25/08/2010 10:28

Morning all!

Omnom poor you, AF for a month is horrendous, hope the scan goes well.

Welcome delurkers Goldmaple and MrsP :)

Prinpo might be worth doing OPKs/temping for a couple of months. I thought I was ov regularly due to having a 28-day cycle you could set your watch by. But this month ov was day 13 and last month it was day 15 so it seems to randomly vary. Might give the doc something more to go on too? Having said that, if you've had two BFPs in 2 years you are about on track conception-wise for us mid/late-30s types - just rotten they both ended in MC. :(

goldmaple · 25/08/2010 00:59

Hi everyone!!

I've been lurking for a while :) and this has been a very lucky bus!

I'd love to hop on! I've been off the pill for 6 months but this is the first month TTC! I am trying to take a relaxed approach but DH is already sick of me talking about it all so I might be failing...

TTC#1 Cycle 1 UCL 30 CD11

Congrats to all the BFPs!

MrsP81 · 24/08/2010 21:43

Hello all

Time for me to delurk and join the May bus! This is me (I hope I've done it right):

TTC#1 Cycle 4 UCL ??? CD 20

Since I came off the pill I've had cycles of 34, 22 and 40, the longest one being a CP when I had a BFP and then disappointment. :(

Gotta just keep on trying though!

zinnia · 24/08/2010 21:01

Prinpo if I were you I'd book in to see the GP pronto. They say you should seek advice after 6 months of ttc if you're 35+ (it's 12 mths for the young 'uns) - I'm only on cycle 4 and if it doesn't happen for me next month I'm booking an appt ASAP (am 38)! After all, what harm can it do?

omnomnomtom sorry to see you go, hope all OK - apart from anything else what a freaking nightmare having a whole month of AF. You must be totally sick of it.

Lib thanks for the encouragement, am quite sure it's not happened for me this month but will hang on till AF shows up anyway. Glad you had a good chat with the GP, sounds promising.

omnomnomtom · 24/08/2010 20:45

Can someone take me off the bus please when the list is updated?
I'm still bleeding (have been on my AF for 30 days and counting) have seen GP who doesn't think it's anything serious but has referred me for a scan
so we are taking a break from ttc until it's all sorted
Best of luck to all of you x

Prinpo · 24/08/2010 18:48

Lib, do you mind my asking about your chat with your GP? I've put off going to mine as I'm 39 and just figure that I should expect it to take a while at this age (although not this bloody long - over 2 years now, including 2 mcs).

If there's anything useful that came out of the talk then I'd be reeeeeeeeeally interested. Am desperately glugging grapefruit juice, taking my agnus castus (and folic acid, of course) and forcing zinc down DH. I'm pretty sure I ovulate every month as I get very clear symptoms so I've not been using OPKs or temping - they all seem a bit confusing and I'm not sure what I'd gain as I make sure we SWIing at the right time each month.

Hope you don't mind me grilling you but I am getting slightly desperate now (tick tock) Blush.

owlshoes · 24/08/2010 16:49

YAY vino Grin

fatheadsgirl · 24/08/2010 15:40

Kiwi Lol at 'iPeriod Map' is there anything the iPhone doesnt do??? Grin

Owlshoes With the best of intentions, hoping to not see you on the June Bus but will happily share my vino with you just incase Smile

owlshoes · 24/08/2010 15:31

Boo at losing lots of people to the June bus today. Am sure I will be joining you lot in the next coupla weeks as I seem to have PMT Rage already. Already?? Having said that maybe it's just that the woman who shares my office is super-annoying. I am refusing to symptom spot this month after making myself properly barking mad last month. Particularly as like Kiwi I had no symptoms whatsoever until AF was a week late the first time around.

Tea at the Ritz sounds fabulous, Kiwi , mebbe your mate is just TTC like the rest of us, I keep getting funny looks for turning down booze. And cocktails. Never thought I'd EVER turn down a cocktail :(

LOTS of people at the top of the list now. I reckon we're due another BFP very shortly. Who's it going to be this time? :)

kiwidreamer · 24/08/2010 14:26

Does anyone else feel slight nauseaous (sp?) as their name climbs higher up the list??

AF due on Sunday according to iPeriod app, have fancy afternoon tea at The Ritz with girlfriends, one of whom is leaving to go back to NZ permenently and the other I strongly suspect is pregnant (I'll come to the OXO tower with you after - she says - but not drinking at the moment, too much alcohol on holiday - she says - - I say - YEAH RIGHT as her holiday was weeks ago). So I'll be emotionally wraught that day anyhow, things could get messy!! Not at The Ritz of course, us Kiwi's are pretty casual but not that casual as to cause a scene at The Ritz!!!!

Another friend has confirmed Pink Bump @sigh@

Tricky thing is that any signs are probably AF signs as I'm sure I didnt have a clue I was pregnant last time until AF was late, then at around 6 week mark got really sore boobs and wicked gag reflex, no real nausea. Oh and that hanker for Quarter Pounders - havent eaten one since but between 6 and 14 weeks they were like preggy lady crack!!

Wish we'd started trying earlier. Ah well saw lady at the park with 4yr old and 1yr old and that worked really well so shouldnt get too stressy, surely if we made a baby once before we can figure it out a second time!!! Fingers Crossed.

I am a bit brain-dead today and am wondering whether I should have undertaken that task, as think I may have made a couple of mistakes on updating, so please check your stats Blush

Still no temperature rise!!!! Arrrggggh! Angry I can take no more!

fledtoscotland · 24/08/2010 12:06

The 2WW is killing me. Ive no specific symptoms but just feel unwell. Or am i just kidding myself?????

Am refusing to contemplate even the early response until saturday (day 26 of my 27/28 day cycle)

think its probably more to do with stress at work

Lib76 · 24/08/2010 11:02

Hi delilah sorry to hear AF showed up, best of luck on June bus! Zinnia don't give up till AF here! I am going to start OPK tomorrow after a very helpful and proactive chat to GP on Fri, so im hoping that i won't see you on next bus (no offence meant! Wink)

zinnia · 24/08/2010 09:34

Hey ladies
Well my temps are plummeting so 99.999(recurring)% sure that AF will be with me before the end of the week - prob Thurs I'm guessing.
Massive sulk.
Will stay on this one for now just for form's sake, but I think it's about time a June bus turned up...

delilahbelle · 24/08/2010 09:21

Hey all - AF arrived today, stupidly early, so if someone can take me off the bus that would be good.
Hopefully the June bus will be along soon!

fatheadsgirl · 24/08/2010 09:18

Morning all! Stupid AF came this morning, MEH! And still don't feel great, so not fair! FHG sits in corner of bus and sulks as she prepares for departure...... Now where's that June bus hmm???

Hope everyone else is having a good day Smile

diggypig · 23/08/2010 14:58

Fatheadsgirl THANK YOU - you are so sweet. Looks like you have swum some troubled waters recently but you are a busy poster and full of LURVE and good stuff. It can only be round the corner for you (the + not the AF). My house is always v clean during the IIweekwait and the dog has it's socks walked off poor booger.

fatheadsgirl · 23/08/2010 14:34

I have a FR test sat lurking in my knicker drawer screaming out my name but I'm being good and resisting.....House has never been cleaner Grin

little bit of cramping today, normal AF first calling card for me, we shall see...

diggypig welcome aboard the May Bus, hope your stay isn't a long one Smile

diggypig · 23/08/2010 13:18

Hello Hello

Please please can I join you all for some positiveness on your shiny happy May bus?

I think I'm as follows (been a lurker and just wrote this trying to tell you I was TTC #11 when I really meant TTC#1 but C11! So I think:

TTC#1 Cycle 11 UCL31 and CD19

I have CBFM and if you're askin, I'm dancin'! Doing the Twobartango!

8rubberduckies · 23/08/2010 12:44

Big Woohoos to littlemilla and lolaclare, it's great to hear from excited graduates!

Still no sign of OV, have been having patches of EWCM, spots and slight cramps now for days and days. Have not SWI for 5 days as been so busy and mild-borderline-arguing all weekend, so am not feeling positive anymore this month regarding our chances. Will have to get a quicky in tonight Wink

On the plus-side though, I still have cupcakes left! Grin

kiwi the party was great, thanks for asking, and the little man loved it! It may go down in history as being the only goth-themed 2 year-old's party ever though... my partner works a few doors up from a new party shop and managed to swing a deal where we ordered 20 helium-filled balloons and the owner delivered them to us already blown up about half an hour before the party started, for free. Only problem was, about half of them were black!!!! It was a bit late to send them away to get different ones, and our ds still loved them anyway, but quite a bizarre colour choice on her behalf. Anyhow, much cake, squash and egg sandwiches were consumed, and not too many fights over toys, or who got to take home a black ballooon and who a blue/pink/red/green one, so it was all good.

My ds is well into the terrible twos now, he hit them running with a massive tantrum at my BIL's wedding 3 weeks ago and hasn't stopped since! Oh yes, and he is now refusing to eat a meal at home with us, although he'll chomp everything in sight at his nana's and the childminder's Hmm. Makes me wonder why I am trying for another one ...

Really looking forward to hearing some more good results over the next few days all of oyu at the top of the list! FX x
