The May Bus

I'm feeling positive about this next cycle. Due rtd tomorrow.

If it's as long as the one I'm just finishing I'll be due sometime in early May so thought I'd do the honours and polish down the bus, stack it full of champagne and nibbles and start the engine!

Who's with me?

lateatwork so sorry you are having a tough time, especially your two mc Sad hang in there- hope you get your BFP soon x and no symptoms doesn't have to mean no pregnancy- am keeping fingers crossed for you

wombat it's easy to get carried away with the symptom spotting isn't it? Lets hope it is early pg symptoms

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 22:42

My poor confused brain is imagining symptoms like crazy here tonight: heavy boobs, sore lower back... It's still WAY too early though, and might even be early AF signs. TBH I've never paid enough attention before to notice how early they start.

lateatwork · 11/08/2010 22:14

o'tom no symptoms here and around 7 dpo so not my month (again... deep feeling sorry for me sigh...)... will hang on in til i test next week but dont feel the slightest bit pregnant... and having been pregnant 4 times, i think i kinda know by now... would be happy to be proven wrong though Grin

blimey i am getting over and tired of this stuff. we have been trying now for over a year and had 2 mc and and and (slinks quietly away from the laptop and fills mouth with chocolate...)

Totallyfloaty35 · 11/08/2010 21:38

Hi all, been mad busy so not had time to get on.Will molest DH this eve as he leaving tomorrow and will be away til September. Its still abit early in my cycle though.
I am going abroard for 3days with him...but its not til Monday Angry so will probably be too late in my cycle by then. Am beginning to think i need to chain him to the bed for a month or im never gonna get pregnant .

omnomnomtom · 11/08/2010 20:40

Tamashii pass some of those truffles this way!

So am on CD17 and AF still hanging around- urgh! Am hoping it is just because be AF has only recently returned after DS1 and bfing for a year but am seeing the GP about it on Mon to see what they say.

Any 2ww-ers with symptoms?

raspberrytipple · 11/08/2010 18:48

Hello all, I may as well take a seat, im now on CD3 of 2nd month trying.... ive been quite upset that it didnt happen straight away but not many do so onwards and upwards!! Lots of fun trying to be had. A preggers friend of mine has given me an OPK so going to give that a try but looks a bit scary to me!! Still, anything that might give us a baby is worth a go! Good luck everyone!

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 16:23

Hi Digitalgirl. Glad you've got your positive OPK. Happy SWI!!

digitalgirl · 11/08/2010 15:12

ooh, CD23 already?! Am only just ovulatnig after finally getting a positive opk yesterday afternoon. So nice to get two proper lines for a change. Will either hatch today or tomorrow...but either way the 2ww starts soon.

Am going to try various methods of distraction for the first 10 days from planning DS's birthday party at the end of the month to shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding next month. Have a very busy couple of weeks at work too, which should help.

vallinna you out there? did you get your meds to kickstart ov?

Morning - those truffles sound delicious tamashii. You have put me right in the mood for a jar of nutella Grin

I always find this part of ttc more demoralising than the 2ww- at least then you have done something about the job in hand, so to speak but right now both DH and I don't feel spontaneous. Happens every time we TTC.

Roll on day 12!

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 10:48

Morning all. Welcome brilaunt.

Tamashii send some of those choccies over here!!! I'm sure you'll get your oomph back at the right time of the month -- it's all supposed tobe linked to the hormones I think so I imagine it's quite normal not to be too keen on the SWI on CD6. I know that's certainly the way it works for me.

Hi lemonsherbet I'm a transferee (eh?) from the April bus too. It's a bit sh!t having to change bus innit? Anyway, here's hoping we'll be on the graduate list this time :)

Hi to brilaunt too. Sorry - I am rubbish at doing the list thing so will leave it to someone who knows what they are doing! Good luck this month to you too

I'm really not up for it this month TBH. Of course when I get to day 14 I will likely begin to obsess again but I just feel complete lack of enthusiasm after another BFN :( I think I am trying to convince myself I wasn't really ready for it anyway and this way I have another month to get my head around everything but I'm not convincing myself.

Maybe it's Wednesday limbo talking and the fact that I am only at the start of things again this month.

Sorry for the downer post. I'm off to stick a big wooden cake mixing spoon in the massive Nutella jar n drink a squeezy tube of condensed milk to see if that will cheer me up Grin but then again eeeeewwwww - maybe will just make Chocolate Truffles with DS and eat most of it before it sets instead :)

brilaunt · 10/08/2010 21:08

hello everyone. Not sure how to do list, but if anyone does it I'm now on day 7 of my cycle if you would like to add me... Sorry, very ignorant but wishing everyone all the best for the coming weeks. I'm hoping and praying for this month to be it.......... Good luck everyone...

zinnia · 10/08/2010 20:41

Hey lemonsherbet welcome aboard. It's quite quiet on here despite the large number of passengers (this analogy is getting a bit shaky) but will no doubt liven up when the poas season gets going.

lemonsherbet · 10/08/2010 17:46

Got room for a transfer from the April bus. (tries not to hit anyone with the piles of rubbish stuff that I have brought with me)

lolaclare · 10/08/2010 17:14

I don't know when I normally ovulate as this is my first month TTC and I haven't been charting or taking temps. I've been reading threads on MN where people claim to have had symptoms from conception onwards but I have been a bit skeptical. I know it's too early to POAS so I guess I'll just have to wait.

I do remember from when I was pregnant with DD that I tested significantly before AF was due and that I had had symptoms at that stage (sore boobs, etc.).

Does anyone know what the earliest possible ovulation date is? And how long after fertilisation implantation happens?

Wombat33 · 10/08/2010 14:58

clare I've just been told on another thread that implantation is usually 7-10dpo, so on that basis, if you oved on average day 14, then it's possibly a little early, but I'm sure each person is different. Any ideas when you usually ov?

lolaclare · 10/08/2010 11:11

Ok, I'm on CD19. Was SWI from CD7 to CD17 as wasn't using OPK so don't know when I ovulated.

Is it possible to be having symptoms this early? Or are any possible pregnancy signs I am noticing purely psychosommatic? For the last few days I have had really sore boobs. And today my back started to really ache out of nowhere. I never normally have sore boobs (or maybe I just don't normally notice because I'm not obsessively paying attention). Hmm

Thank you all. I really appreciate you're lovely comments. 50% chance everything would be fine - I'm going to hang on to that one! Doc was a bit blunt as she didn't realise it would be unexpected news, but she soften once she could see the shock. I have to wait 2-3 months for the test results, but they may speed them up if I got a BFP in the meantime... not sure whether to stop ttc for a while or not. Either way we have a few weeks to decide because I'm only on CD21 of a 31 day cycle - so I'm on the bus for now!

crazydayz · 09/08/2010 16:56

Wombat -really sorry to hear you news but hope you can stay positive.

Wombat - an un-mumsnet hug. Theres nothing really helpful I can say apart from 50/50 means that theres 50% chance of a healthy baby

Wombat33 · 09/08/2010 15:26

Thank you saffron and Zinnia. I am totally reeling. I was so excited to be on my first 2ww. Now I'm terrified of a BFP and what it might mean. Still desperate for a DC though. I'm sure I'll get my head around it all and maybe the doctor was wrong. Or maybe the tests will give us more information and it will be good news. Just going to take a bit of time to sink in and work out what's for the best. Thanks for your support!

zinnia · 09/08/2010 14:43

Oh wombat my god - you must be reeling. Really hope the pros are being suitably supportive. Puts the regular ttc trials into perspective.
Good luck, we'll keep fx for you (and the rest)
