I'm feeling positive about this next cycle. Due rtd tomorrow.

If it's as long as the one I'm just finishing I'll be due sometime in early May so thought I'd do the honours and polish down the bus, stack it full of champagne and nibbles and start the engine!

Who's with me?

Welcome littlemilla, perhaps you'll be one of those lucky ladies who hops on board only to leave a few days later with a bfp.

Halfway through the 2ww. God I bloody hate it too. Spend the first half wishing the days away then the second half trying not to read into every little twinge and sitting on my hands so I don't test. (didn't work last cycle - got too many bfn's to count).

So, who's testing next?

Hi littlemilla - grab a seat. Theres chocolate, crisps and the remains of last night '70s dessert trolley coming round (plus im having another sneaky glass of vino as im celebrating).

Am on my phone but one of the more techy people on a laptop will add you to the stats.

LittleMilla · 19/08/2010 21:53

Hello, been dithering on when to jump in on this...and travelling back from yet another work trip, knackered, depressed with PMT, and depressed at what that means, I've decided that now is the time to take the plunge.

Desperately trying to get with the lingo...sort of feels like I'm earwigging teenagers' street language. but here goes:

TTC#1 cycle 4 (I know, get a farking grip!) and UCL is 28. No idea what the last thingy means.

BTW, I am 29 fit healthy, but certainly drink too much wine. DH is wonderful...but I have convinced myself that between us something will be wrong. We both work a bit too hard...which I don't think is necessarily condusive to babies. But keep on saying that people that abuse their bodies manage it...so surely it can't be that hard! Sorry, unfair thing to say, but you catch my drift.

Sorry, long guff-filled first post. Hi, hi - hope there's room for a small one...

lateatwork · 19/08/2010 21:19

FTS congratulations! good news about the job.

ljg72 welcome aboard.. sorry to hear about chem pregnancy. thats a bummer.

AF on her way... but did calculate if she arrives on time new EDD will be May 31 so will still be on this bus.. Smile

fledtoscotland · 19/08/2010 21:00

Had a blardy crap day really and I'm going to rant here cos no one even remotely knows me and if they feel the need to judge it will be bad karma and lord knows we need all the good karma we can get...

SICK of doing 13hr toddler days all on my own
SICK of never having any nice things (friends are moving and have brought all new stuff and I WANT THEIR NEW LEATHER SOFA pout pout)
SICK of farking diets
SICK of toddler who throws EVERYTHING
SICK of other people getting pregnant (aforementioned friend orderd a decaf today on regular coffee date never does normally, suspect she is up the duff)
SICK of afore-aforementioned friends toddler rejecting my son and being down right mean to him at every playdate for the last month (even tho rationally I know they are both only two and its not personal!)
SICK of WAITING
SICK of farking diets
SICK of blowing my budget every month and only feeling guilty until I find something I want
SICK of this stupid blardy excuse of a summer

FHGirl YANBU. Thank god for MN or we'd have no where to rant and maintain calm in RL. Seems like perhaps you should turn the tables on him. Leave a post-it with "Pants Off" on the counter when you need him to get with the program.

Just a couple more days of wallowing in wine for me until I co-opt DH into SWI for 7 days straight. I was thinking of going the pretend to feel frisky route this month instead of the now is a good time route. Any ideas for that from the ladies on the bus?

fatheadsgirl · 19/08/2010 17:04

He's normally quite lovely honestly, just having man moment I think. And we try to be quite light-hearted about everything - just so it doesn't become too unbearable (sp?) Still I think it only fair that I be allowed to have my woman moment and complain Grin

zinnia · 19/08/2010 16:34

fatheadsgirl: YANBU
Without knowing your DP at all, of course, am fairly aghast at all that. Especially since you've had a pretty tough time of it with this TTC business.

fatheadsgirl · 19/08/2010 15:13

Hello Girls! Hope you don't mind a bit of a rant....

Haven't been on MN in a while and have been suffering from withdrawel.

DP has been working long hours haven't really been doing the deed. I get it, he works hard, he's tired, so not a problem. Did manage to summon the energy to go out with his BF on thurs night, work mates Fri and Sat night and then BF again on Sun. Still no complaints from me. He works hard only fair he gets his down time, untill Monday..... He comes home, I put DD to bed and then he says "Babe go and take your knickers off and we'll have some sex" Me " Meh!" Eventually moans at me (in a playful way) until I submit I go to the bedroom where it turns out his earlier request is exactly what he had in mind - I mean literally pants off, have sex. So I tell him in a bit of a moody way that if quick relief is what he's after I'll give him some privacy... DP didn't care for that Grin and sulked for the rest of the evening. Following night we do the deed after he apologised for being a bit insensative and not making an effort. Don't get me wrong I don't expect candles and romance - its not really my style- but something a little more than "Pants off!" would be nice or AIBU??

He's just left for work but not before kissing me with a "will you just hurry up and get pregnant already" cue me glaring at him to the front door. Yes dear because it is just down to me this conception malarky. Your wishful thinking is more than enough, consider your part over my love. Grrrrr men.

Shouldn't complain really cause he's quite smashing really Grin

Rant over, sorry Blush

ravenlocks · 19/08/2010 14:32

lateatwork that is one heck of a pee stick addiction! Hope you get your BFP ....

wombat hang in there, willing that bean on for your too!

lola actually sound quite hopeful to me - think spots are possibly a preg symptom too? All hormone connected.

Over here I am on CD16, managed 5 SWI so far, got a +ve OPK last night and night before, so might carry on with the daily deed until Friday. Sooooo annoying this morning I misplaced my BBT thermometer, had to get up and hunt high and low and eventually found it where it should have been all along and I just missed it coz I was half asleep, so by then there was no point measuing temp as would be so off - damn it! Was hoping it would show me a thermal shift.

lolaclare · 19/08/2010 13:49

I am beginning to think that this month is going to be a BFN month. It is my first month of TTC however so I'm not complaining.

It has been so confusing though. I had sore boobs from just a few days after ovulation onwards so was convinced I was PG. I POAS a couple of times way too early (got BFNs) and then resolved that I would wait until AF was late to do it again.

Then the BB soreness kind of disappeared so my excitement died down a bit. But around that time I got loads of (sorry TMI) whiteish discharge and googled it to find that this too could be an early sign of pregnancy.

Then last night in the bath, I noticed whopping big blue veins in my boobs that I had never seen before. Called DH in to give his expert opinion and he said he wasn't sure if they were normally there or not... Angry

So after that, I began to hope again that this might be the month. But now AF is due in 2 days and I woke up this morning to find that I have broken out in spots, which is usually the only pre-AF sign I get. So hope has promptly died again. Sad

It is quite a rollercoaster. If AF does arrive, I am determined to chill out on the next cycle of TTC as this symptom spotting will have been a bit of a waste of time. Actually according to my calculations if AF does arrive on schedule on Saturday, I'll be able to stay on the May bus as my EDD if I get PG next cycle will be the end of May. So I'm in it for the long haul... Smile

Fingers are very much crossed for you wombat, I can't begin to imagine how frustrating it is!

Wombat33 · 19/08/2010 12:47

Thanks Zinnia, it's def a TWP and not an evap line, but what worries me is that today's test doesn't seem to be any darker, and actually is more faint, than yesterday's, so I'm worried it's not sticking. Only time will tell - I know that - but still keep obsessing Blush :)
