I can only think of Beauty and the Beast but there must be more. Anyone?

Salmon of Knowledge another Irish one!

southeastastra · 08/03/2008 22:57

i loved the film with that ginger actor

blueshoes · 08/03/2008 22:50

Come to think of it, more Hans Christian Anderson curses: Elise and the Eleven Swans. Elise has to weave shirts from stinging nettles to save her 11 brothers from a curse which turned them into swans.

blueshoes · 08/03/2008 22:44

The Red Shoes - Hans Christian Anderson. She is cursed to dance to her death in those shoes.

gigglewitch · 08/03/2008 22:42

the little mermaid is a curse too .... is it

SlightlyMadSecretSoundWinner · 08/03/2008 22:41

Whats the curse in Snow White? Thats poison apple - but it actually got stuck in her throat so she didn't swallow it (depeninding on which version you read)

gigglewitch · 08/03/2008 22:41

Frog prince / princess and the frog (never know which title to go with)
yes rapunzel was the one i wandered in to say but they beat me to it

FAWKEOFF · 08/03/2008 22:40

BigBadMouse · 08/03/2008 22:39

she has to have her 'true love's first kiss' to break the curse - seen it lots of times [sigh]

fuzzywuzzy · 08/03/2008 22:37

The twelve dancing princesses

Mamazon · 08/03/2008 22:37

isn't fiona cursed to look like a troll at nightfall until she meets her true love?

i haven't seen the film in a long time so can't remember it all.

BigBadMouse · 08/03/2008 22:36

The curse in Shrek - Fiona turns into an ogre at sunset.

nkf · 08/03/2008 22:36

I think the Beast is under a curse if I remember correctly. Or it may be I'm muddling the original story with the Disney version.

three bears

SoupDragon · 08/03/2008 22:35

Princess Fiona being an ogre

Blu · 08/03/2008 22:35

Beuty and the Beast isn't exactly a curse, is it? It's a bargain.

nkf · 08/03/2008 22:33

What's the curse in Shrek?

Janni · 08/03/2008 22:32

Yes, Sleeping Beauty. The thirteenth fairy who hasn't been invited to the christening puts a curse on the baby that when she is 16 she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel.
The doesn't another fairy change it to 'she will sleep for 100 years?1

Mamazon · 08/03/2008 22:32
