My 9 year old (reluctant reader) has really got into Harry Potter.
He’s got all my books that I saved from when they first came out. Can anyone recommend anything similar that will catch his imagination?

It's of great suggestions above, and I'll add Eragon to the list.

Harry Potter could graduate into so many more things!

My first thoughts is Lord of the Rings - although I would start with The Hobbit. It might help if he has already seen the films?

If this is too heavy - then Terry Pratchett (huge range of books) that are just fabulous and some of them extremely funny.

Other ones that spring to mind - (most of them series of books)

Percy Jackson
The 'His Dark Materials' series
Enders Game (Sci-Fi) - there are also multiple sequels.

You might also consider taking him to the Wizarding World of HP just outside London (fab day out) and to the stage show of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is worth seeing?
