Hello trying to build a list of books for my nearly 7 year old to read independently based on stories I remember that I genuinely enjoyed reading as a child. So far I have the worst witch series and gobilino the witches cat. Anyone have any further suggestions?

Mrs. Pepper pot
My Naughty Little Sister
Some Oscar Wilde stuff, but I re-read them when DS was born and found them incredibly sad.

NormaSmuff · 18/07/2017 13:30

Came on to say gobolino, also pippi longstocking, a story about three sisters all with different talents also swish of the curtain, ballet shoes, to name a few

The Tree That Sat Down. It was one of a trilogy. Have no memory of who wrote it, but I'm 50 and parts of the story turn up in my dreams (day and night versions) even now.

I bloody LOVED that book.
