My daughter Lucy as Dorothy from the wizard of oz!
She didn't like the red shoes so compromised with black

incywincystitches · 05/03/2016 22:36

Daughter dressed as Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon.

Danny Champion of the World

This year was the first year my son's school have done WBD (at least in the 3 years he's been there) and he was beyond exited. Aswell as the pheasant dog toy, there's a cardboard spanner in his pocket and a hanky of raisins on his belt.

NipLash · 05/03/2016 19:20

My oldest went as Toothless, from How to Train Your Dragon. He's now requested I make him another one, in red this time, so he can be Smaug next year!

TaperJeanGirl · 05/03/2016 16:31

Whoops, can't fit them all on!

The Boy in the Dress...

WidowWadman · 04/03/2016 20:40

Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse. All her friends envied her for the gloves, and having an enormous feather made up for the lack of black curly wig.

My son Ben went classic / old school and dressed as Dracula

Inspired by Peanut Butter and Jellyfish, about a Jellyfish, his seahorse friend and a crab. To make the costume, Hannah excitedly made a super long chain out of loom bands, (who knew after years of taking pleasure from hoovering those things up, they would actually come in useful) she linked the chain around the circumference of her umbrella. She then tied to the loom band chain, lengths of wool and bits of fabric that I cut from her sisters old cotbed sheet. Inside the umbrella she decorated the spokes using raffia paper bows string ribbon and a small set of battery powered fairy lights that she commandeered from the fireplace in our sittingroom. She wore a white dress and I bought her a seahorse and a crab pin badge to complete her outfit.

My girl loves Pippi Longstocking. I made this from bits we had at home. No bought outfit here! She stood out from all the princesses and Star Wars characters!
