Even when you're looking and feeling rubbish they tell you you're looking "booful mummy!" and even when it feels like all you've done all day is shout, bark, referee they tell you "you're the best mummy in the world.....And ( whisper don't tell Daddy)you're the best!" makes all the tiredness and lack of "me" time worthwhile

I love it when the toddler makes the baby laugh - it's ever so sweet. I also like it when you get an unexpected hug from the toddler or when she is randomly singing to herself - it makes me smile

The best job in the world - despite you getting no training for it, no holidays from it and paid only in love & laughter. Mummy is my favourite word in the whole world!

But I wouldn't swop my little mad house and our family,for all the tea in china. The main thing that makes me pleased to be a mum, is just to see my kids happy. To see them smiling and laughing with their friends and a nice cuddle with them before bed. My kids are very kind and friendly and that makes me very proud.

Now my daughter has grown up and has her own children its wonderful when she talks to me about being a mum and we share memories of her own childhood.

It's just amazing when they show you affection - my heart melts when my toddler says 'I really lobe you mummy' (no v's pronounced yet!) and my baby gives me a kiss (usually snotty and slimy!)

I love snuggles and cuddles and squishes and huggles. I love it when you say love you and they say love you back.... Makes your heart melt X

I look at my now 8 years old boy and I remember vividly the day he was born he kept one eye shut - like he was winking the whole day :)

The amazing thing about being a parent is seeing your offspring being brilliant parents to their own children knowing you've brought them up accepting that's the most important part of life

you can raise and observe how is changing new human bean - what is more rewarding?

My brother and his wife haven't been able to conceive and I am often reminded of the fact that though I might long for 'Five minutes peace", they are longing for sleepless nights and cuddles which must last all day (as the baby just won't be put down!)

So fir me, the most amazing thing about being a parent is the immense privilege it is to watch and help someone grow up.

I have 4 daughters and each has their own unique personality and quirks. It is a blessing and a challenge to see how they handle life and how best to support them.

And in turn, I learn so much about myself as my decisions are constantly reflected back to me through their attitudes!

My ds 2 told me on the morning of my Christmas party that 'you gorgus mammy you gorgus' made my day

Enjoy your precious little one to the max; just once, when you pass a mirror, have a bright bright lipstick handy - apply it and give your reflection a kiss 😘 Oh, and always always have a bag of fun size chocs in the cupboard!!

What makes it worth it, is when my 3 year old ds and nearly 6 year old dd are playing in a corner. Suddenly they stop it all and come to look for me. All they need is a quick cuddle and they get back to their play. Nothing said. Nothing asked. Just a cuddle that says it all. What else can you ask for?

Seeing my 3 young children playing together - when they are getting along it's magical. Admittedly when they're not it is less so!!

My kids are fabulous human beans,
Though they snaffle ALL my time,
They're dirty little rotters,
Sometimes I can't believe they're mine,
They nag and shout and yell some more,
They question and they doubt,
We celebrate the little things,
And the big things with some clout,
They climb up trees,
They cut their knees,
I always kiss and plaster,
We remember all their baby steps,
With fondness and with laughter,
I can't go to the toilet,
Without them wandering in,
My bath time's rarely peaceful,
As they often jump right in,
But when they come for snuggles,
And kisses and assurance,
It reminds me that this motherhood,
Is a whole lifetime performance,
I made these three,
I know they're mine,
And whilst they're sometimes BEEP!
I'm glad that I'm their Mummy,
And that moniker I'll keep.

It doesn't matter how old your children are it always makes me feel great when I get a smile and a big hug from my two good looking boys and it's amazing to think that in this world they have both turned out as such good well rounded young men.

I love my ds's infinite belief in me. He thinks I can do anything if I want to, and tells me so.

My dad is very poorly at the moment but he dotes on my youngest daughter who is 1. She always makes him smile despite how sick he is. We have spent a lot of time in hospital lately and its surprising who a toddlers laughter is very infectious (pardon the pun). It cheers people up and keeps me going on these sad days.

My little grandson loves me to take him to bed and read a book,He makes my day when he tells me he loves me lots more than jelly tots !!

The look of love my Son gives me,no matter what he is doing he looks over for a little reassurance,sometimes he just wants a wave,sometimes a kiss or a cuddle. Loves a bit of attention.

I love the way they smile and show caring towards each other and the world. My four are wonderfully lovely 😃

I love the way my DCs smell. They have such a uniquely pleasant aroma that just lying in a darkened room listening to their breathing whilst smelling them is magical.

Whispering "I love you" to my DD while she sleeps, and seeing her unconsciously grin back at me.

I love the funny stories my little girl tells me and that she shares her chocolate with me!
