DD has just got into reading and it's a joy to behold!

She loves the Fairy Animal series and the Secret Kingdom, though the latter is sometimes a bit too challenging.

Any other ideas?

First one is Sophie's snail

The Sophie books are brilliant. She's 4 and wants to be a lady farmer.

Bloody love them. They go up until she's 7 I think. She also stomps on a my little pony and has a pet snail.

I loved Dick King-Smith novels around that age. Not sure how difficult they are though, but lots of lovely stories. I particularly loved the Sophie novels Smile

she might enjoy the Claude books, really funny, still a picture on every page, and nice paragraph chunks to read, (not too overwhelming) and the stories are really good. There are about 6 of them, the first one is Claude in the City. My daughter loves them as there is lots of humour regarding mentioning of bottoms etc!
