No. I can see why you would feel offended, especially on children's behalf as she will be like family to them. But alas, she is effectively employed by you. I didn't invite my boss to my wedding, and if doing it again, wouldn't invite any of my team either. '

CMs are NOT employed by parents.

Nope, I wasn't invited to a parents wedding, thought nothing of it tbh.

no. wouldnt want or expect to be asked.. professional relationship and not friends,,,

bigstripeytiger · 29/06/2009 13:17

I wouldnt be offended at all, or even expect it.

LoveMyGirls · 29/06/2009 13:15

obviously the last thing I want to do is offend but also as dittany says I do want the day for myself and close friends and family, I don't want to feel I need to look after anyone on the day, I know if they all came I'd feel like I had to spend time talking with them and entertaining the children (I know they wouldn't expect me to but I know what I'm like, the dc's would want me to play with them like I usually do) I'd also feel uncomfortable about drinking because I have my professional head on when I'm with them. I want to be able to really enjoy and relax and it to be the happiest day of my life.

Its a professional arrangement. Ie. parent pays for childcare and childminder provides childcare.

LoveMyGirls · 29/06/2009 13:09

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/06/2009 12:58

depends

need more info

she possibly has 10+famillies and therefore have enough spaces to invite all and partners (extra 20people)

as a cm i wouldnt feel insulted but as a nanny i would if i wasnt invited to the wedding of the parents of whose children i looked after as more personal

MarthaFarquhar · 29/06/2009 12:58
