Just curious

No

LordGodAlmighty · 05/04/2008 14:26

The question isn't offensive in itself. For all you know Mishmash is thinking of becoming an au pair and wondering if her sexuality will be an issue with her host family.

WanderingTrolley · 05/04/2008 14:24

mishmash is 'just curious'

She hasn't given much information about why - she could have encountered someone else spouting negatively on the subject, it's not necessarily something she feels strongly about. I don't find the question offensive. It might just be idle curiousity. Let's assume she isn't a DM journo

yorkishbirdy · 05/04/2008 14:18

isn't the question offensive in it's own right?

If this is what piques your curiosity then I should think you need to find a new outlet asap.

Would you like me to ask one of the MN lesbian mothers what they think? Or perhaps consult the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which takes up cases of discrimination against people on the basis of their sexuality?

WanderingTrolley · 05/04/2008 14:14

No. I wouldn't care where she was from.

ScienceTeacher · 05/04/2008 14:12

I would really prefer that none of my aupairs are sexually active, tbh.

No19 · 05/04/2008 14:12

Errmmm ... no.

Why?

Would you?

pooka · 05/04/2008 14:12

No. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

motherinferior · 05/04/2008 14:12

Are you convinced that you are such an irresistable babe that she'll ogle your dressing-gowned form with barely controllable lust? Or snog your friends?

motherinferior · 05/04/2008 14:11

This is a joke, right?

chamaeleon · 05/04/2008 14:11

no, as long as she wasnt in your face about it. but i dont like people who are in your face about anything, so that would also apply to religion, food choices (in your face veggies really bug me, even tho i am veggie) etc. and i only thought that because it wouldnt occur to me to mention my sexuality at a job interview.

shit · 05/04/2008 14:11

wtf?

barnstaple · 05/04/2008 14:10

No. Why?

meemar · 05/04/2008 14:09

no

Quattrocento · 05/04/2008 14:09

No. I am interested that you are stereotyping aupairs as female. A sizeable minority are male nowadays. I wouldn't object to a gay aupair either - in fact I've got one ...
