Congrats on all the awards!! I’m 14/7. With a dm yesterday. I’m thinking it will be a decline for me x

Asdmummyhere · 16/11/2023 11:56

@Tmxx yes I imagine you can, it does ask when you want to claim from xx

Mumma3girls · 16/11/2023 11:56

I am becoming obsessed with checking this thread for updates…
scan date 26/7 and becoming very anxious/impatient now.

Mumofepilepsy · 16/11/2023 11:52

1 hour and 35mins just cut off it went quite and cut off. I actually thought someone answered. I can’t do it again today!!!! This is just too much 🤯

Tmxx · 16/11/2023 11:50

@Asdmummyhere do you have to get the carers allowance backdated!? Or could you just apply and out today's date so your not going to owe loads to uc? I'd rather not owe loads but weekly money sounds so much more manageable xxx

Amy92x · 16/11/2023 11:50

@Mdavies2023 it was also Tom who checked for me this morning also lol. He told me next week aswell it should go to a dm.

Scan sage 28/7

NoeticCosmos · 16/11/2023 11:49

Scan date 06/07

With DM from Monday 06/11 (17 weeks + 4 days)

Call from DM Friday 10/11 for clarification on some info.

Decision made 10/11 (but not told on the phone)

Letter recevied today 16/11

So from start to finish 18 weeks + 1 day.

DLA higher, Mobility lower.

Backdated to 06/07

Money in 15/11 (yesterday)

I sent a lot of information too.

Now I need to reapply for carers to be backdated.

crazytimes20 · 16/11/2023 11:38

@Jude82 yes I agree. I think they are all over the place! I'm in Yorkshire. Not seen anyone from my area be awarded around my date so I'm going to assume I have another week or so. I'm going to ring next week though to see what's happening. Good luck!! Hope it's good news for you.

Mdavies2023 · 16/11/2023 11:37

Got through after 1 hr 30 to a Tom who checked for me said taking around 18 weeks as they are busier than normal, said should go to dm next week 💀 scan date 20/07

PinkMoscatoLover · 16/11/2023 11:29

Sorry Rebecca & Ssk, after I posted I saw that multiple people had responded to your questions anyway😂 my bad!

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 11:25

We were awarded from 10/6 I seen on fb that they backdate if you let them know within 28 days of decision but I’m not sure x

Asdmummyhere · 16/11/2023 11:25

@Mummyrach13 18 weeks Is still £1381.50 you may just miss a few weeks xx

PinkMoscatoLover · 16/11/2023 11:24

Rebeccanew · 16/11/2023 10:26

any help how to notify uc? Xxxxx

also anyone know how long roughly backpay takes?

Edited

Here’s what you’ll need to do in regards to UC. Unfortunately, there’s no time scale on how long the backpay will take to be approved. Once you get the letter clarifying how much the amount is then the payment will only take 3-5 working days from then.

@Sskanf hope the screenshots help. You can claim the disabled child element regardless of what the award is and you can claim the carer element (so not carers allowance) if your child was awarded MRC or HRC

Asdmummyhere · 16/11/2023 11:23

@Mummyrach13 i think that means the monetary value, no more than 3 months worth of backpay. I have been awarded from 12/07 when my boys dla was awarded xx

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 11:22

I’m really tempted to apply for carers allowance as weekly is great and it seems UC are just taking their time? If they take some back I think we will still be owed some from UC as applied for caters and disabled child element x

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 11:21

@Asdmummyhere I seen online it says they will backdate 3 months? But you got 18 weeks? We were awarded 22 weeks ago so not sure they would backdate that now x

Asdmummyhere · 16/11/2023 11:21

@Mummyrach13 i had been thinking about it before getting awarded. A weekly amount is much more manageable for me so I went ahead. I've put another message on my journal today about the backpay so will let u know if I hear anything xx

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 11:17

@Asdmummyhere I was tempted to claim carers allowance as they might be quicker than UC at backdating! But not sure what to do.

@Sockbabies brilliant so glad they’ve sorted it for you. ❤️ x

For anyone who wanted to claim carers allowance I just thought I'd pop a message on. I applied last Thursday and received 18 weeks backpay today. Obviously this is taken £-£ on UC but for me will work out better in managing money. Because of the backpay it means I will have been overpaid by UC for the last few months. They do not take the whole amount from your next UC payment and will arrange a payment plan with you. This is just for anyone who is thinking of applying. It took exactly a week from filling the form out online and was simple and easy. Well done to all awards and good luck to everyone waiting xx

MammyAng84 · 16/11/2023 11:09

I think it has to b 27/07 as that’s not even 3 weeks & the minimum we have all been told is 15 weeks but like u say they do what they want & say different things xx

Mummyof5kiddos · 16/11/2023 11:08

@Binks90 yay that means there finally getting to our week

Rebeccanew · 16/11/2023 11:02

Good luck @Keddie ❤️ Thankyou girls for all your support also yous have kept me sane xxxxx

Binks90 · 16/11/2023 11:00

After 1hr 25 mins on hold the person I spoke to said it was allocated to a dission maker yesterday and can take up to a week fingers crossed its a positive outcome, scan date 17/07

Jude82 · 16/11/2023 10:59

@Mummyto2beautifulangeltwins Congratulations! 👏🏻 scan date 27/10? Is that right? Or do you mean 27/07? Crazy if late October has been awarded before July, Aug, Sept…so pleased for you but yeah that means there really is no consistency in any of their process for the rest of us. Nothing surprises me mind! 😆

Billie1993 · 16/11/2023 10:56

good luck @Keddie my fingers are crossed for you. You’ve got this hun 🩷🤞🏻
