@Mummyrach13 that gives me some hope then as I was awarded Tuesday found out Wednesday so could I potentially receive the back pay on Friday that’s 3 days right? X

Kelseeyx · 16/11/2023 11:59

Me too 😬

Me three 😂 I’ve been seeing a lot awarded around our date now. Literally cannot cope with it, it’s actually driving me a bit crazy! Constantly checking my texts too just in case I’ve missed one 🤦‍♀️😂

Mummyto2beautifulangeltwins · 16/11/2023 14:46

@Jude82 No!
so sorry scan date 27/7 my predicted text has changed it ,accept my apologies. 🙈

Tammie23 · 16/11/2023 14:41

@Kelseeyx @Jaffacakesrlife so got through new claims are taking 18 weeks and not with a case manager either xx

Helentwinsplus1 · 16/11/2023 14:40

I'm on hold. Wonder what they'll tell me today. Would be nice to just hear it's with a decision maker to be honest. Got nowt better to do today since little man is poorly.

PinkMoscatoLover · 16/11/2023 14:26

@Sskanf you don’t receive the child element at all? Why the heck not?! I’m going to PM you if that’s okay?

FJVH · 16/11/2023 14:26

Hey, I’ve been watching this thread for a bit.
Scan date is 20/7 I rang today and the man on the phone told me my scan date had been changed to 27/7, when I asked he said that sometimes the system does that. Just wanted to let you all know x

Sskanf · 16/11/2023 14:21

So I currently receive £250 UC this is before updating that my sons been awarded DLA
From what I've read on the thread there's no point claiming carers allowance as its means tested. So I'll just claim the elements, no I don't receive child element.

Thank u so much you've been so helpful @PinkMoscatoLover

Krys83 · 16/11/2023 14:20

I'm on week 15 from scan date, anyone else calling in at 15 weeks?? I'm getting very anxious.

PinkMoscatoLover · 16/11/2023 14:18

Sskanf · 16/11/2023 13:59

Ok thank you for all this information. My son was awarded MRC
I just spoke to UC they said carers element, child element and disability element are all separate. Is this correct? Sorry for all the questions but u seem to have a lot of knowledge easier to understand aswel x

Yep they are all separate elements that get added onto your claim before any deductions.

Just to clarify, you already receive the child element for your son on UC right? If so, then follow the steps written out in the screenshot so that you can add the disabled child element and carers element onto your claim.

No worries about the questions! I just hope that all makes sense to you?

Kelseeyx · 16/11/2023 14:17

@Tammie23 sounds about right! Wait times are awful, hopefully not much longer! xx

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 14:10

Binks90 · 16/11/2023 13:56

@4girlsnahubby mines the 17/7 said it went to a Dm yesterday

PinkMoscatoLover · 16/11/2023 13:56

Sskanf · 16/11/2023 13:15

Thank you so much for everyone advising about UC
@PinkMoscatoLover thank you for breaking it down. So I can claim carers element and child disability element separate?

Yeah, they’re too separate elements as not everyone is eligible for the carers element.

If your DC was awarded LRC or MRC then you can get the disabled child element of £146. If your DC was awarded HRC then you can get the disabled child element of £400 odd (can’t remember the exact amount, sorry!)

If your DC was awarded MRC or HRC then you can claim the carers element too. It is seperate so just make sure you do a COC for being a carer and also asked for the carer element AND disabled child element to be backdated via your journal

Billie1993 · 16/11/2023 13:49

@Mummyrach13 & @Tmxx how long did you guys wait for the back back from DLA I know it’s between 3-5 days I’m just curious

Jude82 · 16/11/2023 13:40

Did anyone ringing today notice the new info on their automated service about a Christmas bonus? Never heard of it, for those who also haven’t heard of it don’t get too excited, I googled it and it’s a whopping £10 for those who qualify.

Krys83 · 16/11/2023 13:40

Hi ladies anyone one have a scan date 31/07

MangoPepsiLover · 16/11/2023 13:37

Mummyof5kiddos · 16/11/2023 13:16

@MangoPepsiLover I see scan date 17/7 is with dm now so I wonder if we will be in the same pile? He didn’t tell me if mine is with DM just I should hear something by the end of next week

@Mummyof5kiddos I will hang off until next week to call then, hopefully it's a yes as I don't have any other evidence for MR.

Mummyof5kiddos · 16/11/2023 13:34

@4girlsnahubby this is the person with same scan date as you that got allocated to a dm @Binks90
