Update;

Just phoned as it’s been with a DM for a week now. The lovely lady on the phone said she can see it’s still there to be looked at & the DM is currently working so it could be any day now. She said they can get piles of 10-15 at a time which is why it can take up to two weeks? Because it’s already been a week she said she will email the DM & say I am chasing every day so hopefully fingers crossed it gets looked at asap!! 🙏🏻

it’s just nice to speak to someone who isn’t being vague for once and just fobbing people off! 😂😂

@Loui5 that's good, hope it's good news, let us know how you get on, it is such a long wait and so unfair xx

Loui5 · 08/11/2023 12:51

Hi all, hope its ok to join this thread? Im looking for some advice regardingPIP. This is my first attempt for pip, i sent my claim in 10 weeks ago. I have a variety of disabilities...ASD, ADHD, neuroligical symptoms (no diagnosis as tet but query MS or similar) and arthritis, Disc problens. All of which affect activities of daily living and mobility.
I initially had an appt for telephone assessment, but when they called me on the day, the assessor said she had only been allocated an hour to assess, and that due to my amount of problems, i needed at least 2 hours. She spoke to her manager and then said that she was referring me back to dwp to request a paper based assessment instead, as she thought the time needed was unfair to me, would cause distress and that she felt i had sent in enough evidence. I hot a call a week later that a paper assessment had been agreed and that they would contact my gp for further evidence.
Weeks passed, and still they had not contacted gp and so i called dwp to chase up. They informed that they no longer needed further evidence and my claim was with the decision makers and i would hear in approx 5 weeks.
My question is, would they have done a report? Should i be concerned that i didnt get to eleborate on my difficulties as no assessment and am i likely to qualify based on what i have said above? Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experienced and had had results. According to my scores when i took the eligibility test online, i scored enhanced for both. Any info is appreciated, i am so anxious !xx

Rosegoldsunshine88 · 08/11/2023 12:46

@Loui5 it's so odd in what we are all told, are you phoning on Fri? I'm gunna leave it now as iv phoned twice this week as not only wanted an update but I sent some more info/evidence and wanted to see if scanned xx

Rosegoldsunshine88 · 08/11/2023 12:43

@Clairexdx I have phoned and to be honest they not really giving any info, but there does seem to be cases that you phone and there's nothing but then receive a msg, so I do not think that they have anything on the system until last min, I'm really unsure in what to think tbh, I do feel that as we have same text date that ours are all in same pile which can mean any of our dates are picked out due to the pile size ect, I'm unsure just I feel dates are up and down xx

Loui5 · 08/11/2023 12:40

Im 14/7 called monday was told any time from the 13th and to call friday if ive not heard anything.

Alasitsme · 08/11/2023 12:39

I was told the DLA award ended the day before my child turned 17, but aren't you supposed to apply for PIP at 16?

Clairexdx · 08/11/2023 12:37

@Alasitsme congratulations lovely! Are you the only award I've seen today? xx

Thank you! I don't know, but I think there are 2 others here with the same scan date as me (6/7) so fingers crossed for more news for everyone soon!

Rosegoldsunshine88 · 08/11/2023 12:36

@Clairexdx my scan date is 13/7 and last text is 9/10 what is yours xx

Clairexdx · 08/11/2023 12:34

What was your scan date and last text?

Rosegoldsunshine88 · 08/11/2023 12:30

I am starting to wonder whether all us with the same last msg received are all in the same pile for the dm, and this could be the reason why dates awarded are up and down, or could they go in date order, just so confusing not knowing how they work it and the system they run it by

Asdmummyhere · 08/11/2023 12:26

@Alasitsme congratulations lovely! Are you the only award I've seen today? xx

NoeticCosmos · 08/11/2023 12:23

@Asdmummyhere im calling every day or 2…lol we’re well ove our time wait and tbh it does say over 15 weeks call them! But I have seen how quick things can change one min it might not be with decision maker the next it’s award so I wouldn’t mind bothering them! Give them a call as many times hun…I think you should have decision by end week…did you send much evidence? xxxx
@Rosegoldsunshine88 fingers crossed and very best of luck to you xxxxx

I was told 17.5 weeks to go to DM and then around 10 more day for a decision.
On Monday I sent some more evidence with next day service, they've received it and already added to my claim.
Scan day 18/07
Good luck everyone
