Morning 🙂 Scan date 12/07. I’ll be calling at 9 today to see what they say. I’ll post an update as soon as I can. Good luck everyone!

Mummyof5kiddos · 10/11/2023 08:16

@Jude82 I think your right, I’m the week before you 19/7 last text 16/10 and I’ve been told the week of 20th November is will hear something

Binks90 · 10/11/2023 08:14

@samepasswordforall1 people are calling them because in the letter were told 15 weeks and the automated message when you call is saying 15 weeks yet its taking 18 weeks plus for most people and it's frustrating to wait that long for an outcome. So calling them up makes me feel better just to check to see if I'm any closer to a decision.

Jneill2021 · 10/11/2023 08:05

Good luck every1 xx does anyone no what the time scales for a Mr are at the moment xx

samepasswordforall1 · 10/11/2023 07:54

Scan date 7.7.23, two texts and a letter
Considering the claims are taking however long they're taking, why are people phoning? I don't mean that in a facetious way, I'm really curious. Is it something I should be doing? It had never occurred to me in years of claiming DLA ( first DD now DGS)

Jude82 · 10/11/2023 07:52

@Mumma3girls and @Mumofasd3 scan date 27/07 and also txts 02/10 and 23/10. I was told week commencing 27th November both times I called. Into the final stretch of waiting now ladies … hopefully🙏🏻
Good luck today everyone calling and waiting with early July dates 🙏🏻

Rebeccanew · 10/11/2023 07:48

Mumma3girls · 10/11/2023 04:12

Scan date 26/7
texts 02/10 & 23/10
been silently watching for a while, getting impatient now as we’ve passed the 15week mark and hoping for a positive response soon…🤞🏼

Wildboysmum18 · 09/11/2023 21:07

My scan date was 5/7, my son was awarded on Monday 😄
I’ve changed that I’m caring for someone now?
Also, do we get just the carers element or do we also get the disabled child bit? It’s all so confusing xx

This is what I have followed. U need to report a change for your child to get the disability element. Also put a note on your journal under payments asking for it all to be backdated from award date. I think it can take a while though.

Congratulations to everyone else awarded today. Good luck for tomorrow and next week for people waiting x

@Billie1993 So someone with a scan date of 10/07 got told today that it will go to a dm Monday, I got told it will be with a dm Tuesday latest and I'm 11/07 so hopefully that means you being 12/07 will be Wednesday 🤞🤞 xxx

Billie1993 · 09/11/2023 23:41

A massive congratulations to all that’s been awarded today and to those that have also found out that’s it’s now with a DM, so is that all of 2/10 done now with the last text date? And now are moving onto 9/10. I’m so happy that a 10/10 is now with a DM 🥰

@Shilli84 omg no way you’re extremely close to me I am from erith/Slade green my scan date is the 12/7 hun when’s yours?

I sent in extra evidence yesterday for next day delivery, it was delivered and signed for at 6.07am this morning. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to match it up with my original forms scan date 26/07 not sure if this is done as a quick process or if it's going to take wees or even set me back longer 😔 now wishing I hadn't even bothered 🤣 was going to call up tomorrow to see if it's been opened and out with other paperwork but is that too keen?

Mine was put on the system 2 days after they recieved it.

Wildboysmum18 · 09/11/2023 20:07

Does anyone know how long uc take to pay out pay back for carers element after you’ve reported the change?

My 2.5 year old son was awarded mrc after 17 weeks 😃

@Wildboysmum18 congratulations what was your scan date? I’ve seen a few people on here saying it’s been taking awhile. Have you entered into your journal and put it under payments?

@theworldhasgoneinsane I am no expert but have followed this thread for so long now... did you really go deep into the day to day difficulties your daughter faces and the care you have to give? From what I understand they tend to go based on day to day needs rather than a diagnosis etc go for a MR and go in heavy with everything your daughter and you are faced with xx

To be honest it was 7 months ago so I can't remember fully but I think so, although when I appeal I will go into it more. And things have changed aswell, she now needs support with physio etc so that's more time I spend supporting her

Thank you

Hi everyone.

Hope it's ok to join. Can I ask what people mean by scan dates? If it's the date they received the claim mine was 18/5 and I rang today for an update to be told we've been declined and my letter is in the post. I'm fuming I've waited so long patiently to be told we won't be getting a penny!

My daughter has JIA and I really thought I was in for a good chance
