Go onto Ofsteds Website and see how many minders live in a 5 mile radius from you.

450 are in my 5 mile radius

16 for me and we all struggle to fill our spaces because the nurseries round here are doing full daycare 8-6 plus food for £20

FeelingOld · 03/03/2008 19:48

Its 53 for me, not too bad I suppose compared to some of you.

KaySamuels · 03/03/2008 19:25

Thanks for that tip nannynick there are 20 within a mile of me.

nannynick · 03/03/2008 19:21

462 for me.
29 of whom are within 1 mile (change the mile=5 at the end of the URL, to mile=1)

KaySamuels · 03/03/2008 18:22

KatyMac · 03/03/2008 17:37

29......???
(& 3 of them work for me)

10 miles is 91

eleanorsmum · 03/03/2008 17:31

568 for me- no wonder the phones quiet!

ayla99 · 03/03/2008 16:44

Mine comes up 94. Only 4 of us in this village, however.

ajj · 03/03/2008 16:16

Only 34 for me, and I still have lots of space to fill.

Booh · 03/03/2008 16:10

Only 57 for me!

But if I go for 10miles its is over 1000!! And I know that a lot of those don't have work......but where I am we need a lot more!

dustystar · 03/03/2008 16:10

Worked it out finally - thanks Rosegarden 331 near me

mindingmum · 03/03/2008 16:10

dustystar - type in 'ofsted' on google

click on 'inspection reports'

type in your postcode where it says 'childminders in a 5 mile radius'

dustystar · 03/03/2008 16:06

Can someone do a link to the right page on the Ofsted site as I can't find it

ROSEgarden · 03/03/2008 16:06

i couldnt at first dusty..click on cm's then scroll down page, its on bottom left

ROSEgarden · 03/03/2008 16:05

292!! which is amaizing as there are only 2 of us in this very large area we live in, the rest must be close to town etc!

looneytune · 03/03/2008 16:04

490!! Having said that, in our area we don't have many and I haven't had problems filling spaces for a couple of years

dustystar · 03/03/2008 16:04

I couldn't work out how to do it
