cm do you cuddle your mindees alot? do babies get cuddles in nursery ?

id like dd to go to someone that can be as loving to dd as i am.so that the cm can be then next best thing to mummy,and for the cm be able to cuddle my dd to sleep if that what she needs or wants etc

are the workers in the nurserys allowed to cuddle the children, i can just have visions of the workers being told by the bosses "to stop cuddling the children and act professional" although i have no idea where i get these lkind of ideas from ive probably totally made that up

My DS just 9 months and has been going to CM for about a month. He loves going, never cries - he has done painting and been to soft play - mainly I think they just play. He has really got into "row row row the boat" which shocked us when we did it one day and he nearly threw himself off my knee! She must have been doing it a lot.

I am a cm who gives lots of lovely cuddles!!

We all snuggle on the sofa for stories, have tickle attacks in a big bundle on the floor, and over time a bond grows. My mindees and their families are like extended family to us and it's lovely.

Can't comment on a nursery but I do think that cm'ers environments would suit you best from what you have said in your OP.

BFs a CM and she cuddles her mindees just as much as she would cuddle her own, in fact that's my experience with all of the CM I know - they treat the DCs exactly the same as they would their own (taking into account any restriction/rules put in place by the parents)

yes i think thats lovely, does your ds rally njoy going to the cm? what kind of things does he do there?
how old is he ?

my dd will be nearly 1 bless her still only a baby

My CM the same - always cuddling and kissing.

I don't remember my 2 DDs getting the same at Nursery but that was a few years back now.

My DD is at nursery and gets lots of kisses and cuddles from the girls there. Think it depends on the nursery workers and the CM you go for. Some people are just very affectionate and some are not - irrelevant of the childcare setting. Good luck with whatever you decide

My childminder is fab, she always cuddles DS and kisses him hello and goodbye. She's like an extra Gran, it's great.
