@ChantelleB I think we have the same date the 19th? I got awarded hrc on Friday

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 14:53

I’m on the phone but mine wasn’t with a DS on Friday so not expecting anything! Thank you and very happy for you xx

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 14:50

@MissEllie2 give them a call if you can I did opt for text message but never received the bloke was lovely on the phone good luck and thankyou xx

Navigatormum · 21/11/2022 14:46

@ChantelleB It threw me out as well when he asked me that question but a friend reassured and said it’s part of their security questions. When I called this morning it was not assessed. I was upfront and expressed the long wait since the 11th August. My DM was away last week also.
The call handler was honest and said it had previously been held up for pending verifications etc. I was awarded a few hours later, text and call from DM.

Ask the call handler if their is anything holding up the application or for any updates they can see on their end.

No answer is not always bad news honestly. It is so emotionally taxing waiting when you desperately need the support for your child. Everything 🤞🏽 for all still waiting on a decision ❤️💜❤️💜

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 14:45

@Meli3 oh my goodnesssss!!! The most amazing news and just in time for your daughters birthday 🥰🥰🥰

Helen122 · 21/11/2022 14:44

Hello,

Has anyone been awarded without sending any documents or evidence for the renewal?

ChantelleB · 21/11/2022 14:40

@MissEllie2 thank you, found it weird and a bit personal. X

ChantelleB · 21/11/2022 14:39

@Navigatormum thank you! Just found it strange as I’m awaiting for a decision on my daughter and have never been asked it before and seemed quiet personal x

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 14:38

@MissEllie2 I have called and was awarded on Saturday HRC lrm I'm absolutely over the moon xx scan date 23rd August x

Navigatormum · 21/11/2022 14:36

Yes. It is apart of their security questioning.

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 14:33

I haven’t been asked that before, usually just reference #, NI number and few questions about the form x

ChantelleB · 21/11/2022 14:28

Has any one ever been asked if they claim carers allowance as a security question when ringing DLA?

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 14:12

22nd?! I’m hoping I’ll hear by the end of the week. It’s so hard not to call 😩😩

Meli3 · 21/11/2022 14:11

@LucasMummy88 I sent in copy of ieps and prescription for sleep medicine. We’ve been waiting for referral for occupational therapist from school for 18 months and finally was referred last week but still waiting for the appointment

ChantelleB · 21/11/2022 13:20

Our scan date is 27th september, I feel like it’s going to take ages until they will deal with september claims.

Ours is September 6th it’s really dragging on now I don’t even think my daughter will will be awarded 😞 xx

Navigatormum · 21/11/2022 11:56

Scan date 11th of August. I called DLA is this morning and spoke with a very kind and helpful gentlemen. I was received a text two hours later and a courtesy call from a lovely DM who confirmed HR care and LR mobility.

It has been a very long wait but I am ever so grateful. Good luck to all who are still awaiting a decision. Please do not give up.
❤️💜

Thehonestbadger · 21/11/2022 11:02

I’m really frustrated.
sent my first copy of the forms on 13/10 - nothing- no confirmation of scan and rang up to be told to just wait.
sent a second copy on 10/11 special delivery, can see it was signed for but still nothing, no confirmation it’s been scanned.

im really annoyed as DS is 3 in March and at this rate, by the time they’ve actually acknowledged his claim and done anything about it I’ll have to reapply to get the mobility aspect anyway. Might as well have not bothered. It took so much time and energy putting his claim together and feels totally pointless

MissEllie2 · 21/11/2022 10:46

@Shellbel10 i am so sorry to hear this. Definitely do an MR! Get your child what they deserve xxx

dandymum · 21/11/2022 10:44

@Shellbel10 oh no! I’m sorry to hear that :( gather any extra evidence you can now, start a diary of your days, then when you get the letter saying you’ve been refused and why it should tell you how to do mr and I think they take 4 weeks for a descision x

LucasMummy88 · 21/11/2022 10:41

I’m sorry to hear that @Shellbel10 . Definitely do a MR as I hear a lot of success stories with them.
Can I please ask how old your son is, and what evidence did you provide? X
