Long time lurker! And first time post! My scan date is the 12th of Sep. So a few weeks left yet! I have received my son's blue badge and wanting to sent the letter I received as extra evidence. I can not find the Freepost address anywhere! Could anyone help? Please 😊

HeathenPlayingHouse · 24/11/2022 18:36

Thank you ❤️ It really is a weight off, things have been so hard and it just feels like you have to have a meltdown yourself to get any help for your kids when they're struggling. This will make such a difference for us.

Salll3 · 24/11/2022 18:04

Awwww soooo made up for you that’s excellent news x

Gemz8 · 24/11/2022 17:40

@HeathenPlayingHouse thats brilliant news! I bet it feels as though a weight has been lifted. Fingers crossed for others waiting from August

HeathenPlayingHouse · 24/11/2022 17:34

I just called as my scan date was 17th August so it's been over 14 weeks now.

The lady I spoke to was so lovely, and I'm so happy I rang- DS has been awarded MRC for 2 years, backdated to 12th July.

I was so afraid they were going to decline the application, especially since I had so little evidence to send- I filled in the form, an extra sheet of information and included a report from the community paediatrician that started his referral process. I actually cried when she told me it had been processed, the waiting and not knowing has been a struggle.

I hope everyone hears back soon for their claims! 🤞

MyBoysxxx · 24/11/2022 15:46

@joannef83 thank you, Hopefully we will have an answer sometime next week to put an end to this long wait !

joannef83 · 24/11/2022 15:30

@MyBoysxxx They didn't say, just that it was now with a decision maker.

Eleanor55 · 24/11/2022 15:01

Eleanor55 · 24/11/2022 13:16

MyBoysxxx · 24/11/2022 12:21

xxAmy · 23/11/2022 21:56

Are new claims taking around 14 weeks would we say?

When I phoned this morning the lady told me new claims are now taking 12 and half weeks but who knows seems everyone is being told different xx

bagheera92 · 23/11/2022 21:58

My scan date was October we 21st for my sons renewal and his claim is due to tend January 28th. I called today and the lady said they are finding that renewals are not being looked at until 1/2 weeks before they are she to end .

MTJ · 23/11/2022 21:44

Scan date was August 11th. Rang yesterday and the lady said it’s been with a case manager since November 11th. She said it usually takes 2 weeks with a case manager (this Friday) but added, ‘unless there’s a complication, in which case it takes longer’.

It’s just so inconsistent!! Some people are saying it’s 1 day after going to a DM. I do think it’s who people get looking at the application and who people speak to on the phone !
