Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Bit later than most claims here, I made a claim on the 2nd September, my son has recently been awarding a mobility car through the family fund as hes under 3 years old and cannot apply for mobility for dla.

Should I send this evidence in? I did say about my sons mobility in the care section and I understand that he cannot get mobility for him yet. His mobility effects his day to day due to health conditions

@Hayhoarematthews what did you send in as evidence? It’s hard not to be negative when it takes so long. I’m in the same mindset if I’m honest x

Her pediatrician letters and supporting letters from her bladder and bowel nurse and school senco, her repeat prescriptions, the reason for her claim is bladder and bowel incontinence for last 3 years she's nearly 10 I wouldn't of applied if bladder nurse didn't say to as its not getting any better, yh it is especially as I haven't seen anyone mention the same issues as my daughter x

MissEllie2 · 27/10/2022 10:35

Do you receive child benefit? Is it something to do with not knowing the child’s national insurance number? Try not to worry, I know it’s so much easier said than done x

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 10:26

@Greencouch ive never heard of that before, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about x

Greencouch · 27/10/2022 10:20

I've just phoned them again and I have to wait another couple of weeks as its gone to the national insurance number department. Has anyone else had this?

I'm waiting for the manager to call me back as I am not happy with bring told another couple of weeks!

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 10:02

Hayhoarematthews · 27/10/2022 09:44

I'm the 25th and it's with a dm I'm so nervous not sure if to ring or not

Keyto3 · 27/10/2022 09:41

@alwaysonthegomum ok thank you for that- I’ll see what the letter says and retry. Good luck to everyone else :) x

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 09:39

@Keyto3 not long so I’ve read on other threads about 4-5 weeks and a lot of people do have decision over turned by them. X

Keyto3 · 27/10/2022 09:38

Oh a mandatory reconsideration? How long does that take ? Are there many success stories?

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 09:37

@Keyto3 its a mandatory reconsideration.
you can do this once you receive letter explaining why you wasn’t awarded. They take about 4 weeks from what I’ve read x

Keyto3 · 27/10/2022 09:35

Sorry mean a MR?

Keyto3 · 27/10/2022 09:35

That made no sense - she has just turned 1 and I understand that is hard for babies - I sent in her hospital reports and birth certificate.. I have to wait for the letter to see why. What is a DM? Anyone had luck with that?

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 09:35

@Keyto3 DM is the decision maker.
oh I’m so disappointed for you.
are you going to do a MR? X

Keyto3 · 27/10/2022 09:33

I sent in all her hospital appointment letters. She is just turned one so I wasn’t sure. What is DM? The lady said I had to wait for the letter to see why.

Shellbel10 · 27/10/2022 09:26

Sorry to hear that @Keyto3 what evidence had you sent in

Nillica · 27/10/2022 09:21

I’ve just spoke to a lady from the dwp, my scan date is the 27th July, she said they are working on dates up to the 26th, it might get looked at tomorrow or it will be next week and to ring back next Friday x

Cass29 · 27/10/2022 09:19

@Keyto3 oh have you not been awarded? Sorry to hear that if so 😔 do an mr x

alwaysonthegomum · 27/10/2022 09:19

@Keyto3 oh no, what was their reason why? You should do MR x
