Evening..had a busy day one midnee chocka full of cold/chest infection sut had planned day out in park, so im freezing but she was wrapped up like a sausage

remember the nightemare i had other week with parent saying her child was down a particular day and i had different?, they were arguing i was wrong and what with them always chopping and changing, dropping my hours etc i was getting fed up??...well mum gave me 4 weeks of hours last thurs...ive just looked at them on fridge(shed wrote them down) and noticed he's down for Monday next week, now the childs place is a thursday, i said it was ok to change to wednesdays as thats what she told me she was on and my fault this time for not looking, but since my full timer has left i now get mon and tues OFF through the day(between morning and 3pm school run)..i have loads planned on these days(dentist app, make phone calls ive put off, organise house work/work on hosue so on), so ive text mum this morn to say sorry app has come up which ive been waiting for for ages, i cant do monday but can do wed or thurs(usual hours)..feel naughty and i know we all have our problemss inc this family, but i dont want to give up my day of chores when their normal hrs are thursdays..i havent heard back yet, ive said if neds be ill take it as holiday, but im just sick of the chopping and changing and am protective of my mondays its when everything comes together, stuff i havent done through week or weekend...am i a cow???

QUESTION - if on the contract I have run out of room for all my 'Additional Notes', I can just type something up on an extra page can't I and they sign it? If so, what would you call that extra page? I've gone blank!

shoshe · 11/01/2008 17:49

Mo DH is allegedly a Soldier in the Royal Signals, but for the last 14 years had been with the Royal Signals White Helmet MotorBike Display Team.

It has rained like a monsoon here all day!

And DH has just come in to say he is off to SA on Thursday everything paid for and last time Virgin sent them out there first class both ways.

I know they go out to do a charity thing (they do all the maintenance at a school for the disabled just outside Soweto)

But I hope he gets sick

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 11/01/2008 16:45

Any advice on this thread? Most of you know the situation with this one, just didn't want to give full details on that thread after what happened with my parents!

crace · 11/01/2008 13:42

Mo, good weather is on its way, we're having some sun now.

Having a playdate here this pm, thank god to break up the monotony. I completely agree about the p/ters. I have 2 full timers except for one day which is different and that is by far my favourite day. Same in same out is getting tedious

hennipenni · 11/01/2008 13:40

Have done 3 school/nursey runs so far today and got soaked on every one of them.

DMO

dmo · 11/01/2008 13:09

MaureenMLove · 11/01/2008 13:07

hello to all the expect mothers hope you are well

thankyou guys for your thoughts today hopefully chloe will be out this weekend they are keeping her in today and tonight

MaureenMLove · 11/01/2008 12:28

Hi all. Still raining then? DMO, I'll get on your thread as soon as I've posted this.

LMG, good luck with all your plans. I don't think there's many people in this world that haven't been in your financial situation, I know I have. I think it helps to know, you're not the only one. I love having all parttimers, I like that everyday is different. When I did have a full timer, he was a bit of hard work and I used to dread every day. Now, if I kow I've had a bad day with one, I haven't got to see them again for nearly a week!

Potty training s going unbeleeevably well! He is 2yrs 5 months and mum started on Wednesday! Cold turkey, straight into pants and he hasn't had one accident! Calls me when he needs to go and we've even been out this morning with no problem! Mum just phoned to see how it was going and I said I could't believe how good he is! Bless his gorgeous little heart. I just wanna squeeze him!

No kids! Really? We will have our 2 yo and the 9 mo mindee. Dh will have to rein in the children We just love the element of surprise and my daughter was a surprise so we have so much 0-6 mo neutral stuff that it actually is fine that we won't know. Frankly, I need to have SOMETHING to look forward to! ha

LMG - good luck, as I write this! It's always that way isn't it? We're in the same boat and everytime I think about getting a fulltime job out of the house I realise between my children I would be in debt for childcare! Just no winning for losing is there

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 11/01/2008 11:53

dmo - posted on other thread xx

crace - bet you can't wait! We will be asking if boy or girl but depends if they can tell. I don't care at all what the sex is as long as he or she is healthy, just trying to be practical. I KNEW I was having a boy with ds, don't know how, just did. I feel the same again that I'm pretty sure I know and if my instinct is right again, we even have a name already! Anyway, we'll see. Good luck with yours and let us know how it goes As for taking mindees, I'm lucky mine is on a Tuesday and I no longer have to work that day (even though being paid double for it! ). I would have taken time off if had D.P. baby though as she's already been to 3 scans and an appointment at the hospital after my fall and she just cries the whole time I can't hold her and no way would I have that for this scan! Plus, they sent a leaflet saying no kids.

LMGs - as you know, got everything crossed for you, I really want this to work out for you as I know exactly what you mean about living out of overdraft and things always going wrong when something just starts going well. Good luck xxx
