Not really loved having the mindees back, even my stoppy 5 year old, once I laid the law down was a darling.

They are all back to school today, so the SAHmindees and I are off to soft play.

Hiya

Mo - I've calmed down now, honest. Yes, some lovely news which unfortunately got totally blurred with everything that's happened with ds. He's really been unbearable for a lot of the Christmas break and getting worse and worse and worse!!! Dh isn't one to get cross unless ds does something VERY wrong (dh was abused badly as a child) yet he was really raising his voice at ds and that's how bad he's got. Jesus, if would have got a wallop for a LOT less as a child but things are very different now and the attitude is like 'yeah....what ya gonna do to me then!!' He's like Kevin the teenager and he's only 4 FGS!!! Anyway, I'm fine now, just needed to shout

Shosh - about the layby - found them in a puddle on the way past!! Nah, mum had agreed to go into work so I could go to my appointment with 2 less kiddies (thank god, it's always a nightmare and to have blood taken and kiddies to watch at the same time...!) and just asked me to meet her in a local layby for handover to save her time so she could get to work quicker, that's all.

shoshe · 08/01/2008 20:06

Why were the sisters in a layby have their parents taken to leaving them there now !

Sorry awful day just wanted to make you smile.

Blimey, that was a hell of a day! Somewhere in all of that it was quite good though? Everything OK with baby and good news for DH.

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 08/01/2008 19:41

Right, everyone close your ears, I need to just do a great big ARRGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Phew, that's better. What a day!!!

Starts off first thing with ds kicking off about not coming to midwife with us this morning, NIGHTMARE he was, in fact he's turned into the devil and I don't even like him at the moment!!!

Had good midwife appointment, all looking good and dh found the baby's heartbeat (midwife let him do it ) - he did make me panic as took AGES and last time midwife found it straight away so even though she was helping, I was worried that we couldn't get the heartbest and my heart sank, then it was there and was fab Went to pick the sisters up in a layby then popped home to grab bottle of milk before going to toddler group. Dh confirmed he's got an interview for a 2/3 month contract on Friday so that's good, fingers crossed! Took ds to group with the girls and he was extremely shy but at the end when was packing up time, he has all the little ones running about like nutters, my toddler mindee wouldn't listen to anything I said (she ALWAYS listens normally!) and ds wouldn't put coat on and ignored me . He's been hyper most of the afternoon, driving me mad, horrible child with odd moments of being a normal nice boy like he used to be. I know I'll be sad on Monday but at this moment in time, I can't wait for him to go to school all day!!! Dh is upstairs bathing him and I can hear screaming, arguing, it's horrible, I can't stand it!!! And if ds on his own wasn't enough, I've got Ofsted stressing me out about my certificate now which is a big problem as I'm due to have these new mindees starting with me as ds rising 5 but it's all up in the air!! GRRRRRR

I wish I could have a 'proper' drink.

Sorry for the screaming fit there - maybe I need to go in 'time out'

MaureenMLove · 08/01/2008 19:35

Ooh, I can hear the younger mums on here tutting now, at the thought of being drunk in charge of a child! Fine, upstanding pillars of the community we supposed to be and childminders to boot! Love it!

shoshe · 08/01/2008 19:21

not as bad as taking the child out of the pushchair and making its father carry her so you can load even more free wine into the pushchair after a do finished so we could carry on at home

OP posts:
MaureenMLove · 08/01/2008 19:14

I've had a baby mindee here all day! I could only do little bits here and there, when she was in the highchair or sleeping. Although a pushchair to hang on to when drunk would have been handy I suppose. It would be the first time!

Disclaimer: It was MY dd and I DID have another responsible adult with me!

shoshe · 08/01/2008 18:54

You haven't been cleaning dont give me that, bet you have been in at the wine shop all day testing wine for your shindig

Hello! Thought I'd just pop in to see what's been happening. Every spare minute I've had today, I put to good use, instead of being on here. I'm mid way through cleaning the kitchen from greasy top to grotty bottom! No kids til after school tomorrow, so I will probably carry on tomorrow too. I'm making list after list for my parties too! So much to do and so little time.

Anyone heard from Sugar?

KatyMac · 08/01/2008 16:28

Well I had much less rest than I anticipated - but I did get a 2hr nap this afternoon - I feel all sweaty and horrid & I am looking forward to my bath after work

saff · 08/01/2008 12:49

ok got about ten mins before running about again have been selling washable nappies this week and people have been asking for this one or that one etc it struck me what unrelistic names they have ie snuggle bum cutepie twinkle botty etc have thought up some more appropriate ones leakybum, soggybum, stinkyarse or personal fav orange stain at least you know what your getting.

hennipenni · 08/01/2008 12:44

PMSL saff.

Katy I hope you feel better soon, I would offer to take some of those choccies from you but haven't even started mine yet!

Looks like I have a poorly mindee on my hands again, now sleeping on the sofa, mindee never, ever, ever sleeps here unless poorly, still parents collecting in 1.5 hours so will leave her unless she chucks up etc. Other mindee not eatyen much either, could just be fussy I suppose!

Hd some good news this morning- mindee 1 parents are both going to be working full time so I will be having mindee for an 2 extra days so will have her in total for four days, this means that I will be full again except for Fridays when I'll have two spaces but I'm not going to fill them!

shoshe · 08/01/2008 12:33

Go on Saff I dare you.

Morning!
Not working today now as mindee ill and at home. DD not at preschool though as she hasn't been feeling well and didn't want to go this morning - now wondering why I didn't send her as she seems fine! She will be going tomorrow!
Tomorrow have two mindees so going to try and enjoy the day off today.
Really need some more work though. Never realised when I started that work would be so hard to come by
Hoping to get a call later from a friend of a friend who is looking for a cm though so fingers crossed.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 08/01/2008 10:11

I HAD to finish Toblereone

Thank you all for your kind thoughts on my bad news yesterday, it really helps.

Waiting for mindee 1 til 5pm, mindees 2 and 3 after lunch til 7pm.

Go away rain, I had planned a scuffle through the leaves in the woods but it's just too wet. Sigh

Have a good day all

MaureenMLove · 08/01/2008 10:07

Took 4 schoolies to school this morning, although 2 of them are 10, so they didn't actually walk with me! Got 18m old here now and she's playing with the dolls house at my feet!

Morning all, can't stop, off to midwife then drop in, catchya around lunch time - have a good day

crace · 08/01/2008 08:48

That's the problem isn't it? I got so much chocolate over Xmas that you just feel "obligated" hee hee to eat it! We got a huge tin on Quality Street too, so yum.

Roll on the winter pounds, it really is unavoidable isn't it?

LoveMyGirls · 08/01/2008 08:27

Thanks Crace

I'm quite chunky too but people keep bringing tins of choc biscuits round and i'm too weak!! Will make an effort to get more excercise and eat less junk once it starts to get a bit warmer i think!
