Bit late, but I've been dealing with all the paper work that comes with a new school! DD had a good day, but her feet were killing her! There's a lot of walking! The school has a 12 class intake, so you can imagine how big the place is! Just finished looking at the overviews of her subjects for Autumn term and I'm so worried she won't cope! She will of course, its just me being a silly mother!
See you all tomorrow!

dmo · 05/09/2007 16:51

Good god! I am being completely slated on my AIBU thread! Some people just want to start a fight don't they! I can so understand why people get clichy and stick to the tea room, bar or staff room. People are so rude! I really don't care what people say to me, I don't know any of them, but I can't believe it. How funny!

MaureenMLove · 05/09/2007 13:15

Shosh - do you think that all this talk of me drinking is actually a cover up for your drink habit? Problems with your keyboard? Bit of a poor excuse don't you think!

What did you win MamaG? Can't be asked to go and look, just tell me!

Good to 'read' you again Fifi! Sorry to hear your health ain't so good though. Hope you had a good summer anyway.

I've just been looking at dd school website, like the Head Teacher told us to do. Its supposed to be updated daily with a rolling noticeboard of whats going on in and around school. Guess what? Its not been updated! Bit poor imho, specially as its a Specialist in Computing' school.

MamaG · 05/09/2007 13:00

I think I'll buy the charm bracelet with 2 charms (DD and DS) - £60

That will leave £40 and I could get an individual charm of each DC for DH to wear on a chain/leather thing/something to keep him quiet!

Shoshable · 05/09/2007 12:56

Well done what are you going to buy with it?

MamaG · 05/09/2007 12:42

I'm being VERY sensible

fifilou · 05/09/2007 12:38

its not so bad, i have no right to moan really, i know there are lots of people in much worse pain than me.

It gets me down is all. m not allowed to swim, but i hate dissapointing the boys so i go with them -then it flares up and hurts like hell. my own silly fault. ear plugs are useless.

Im looking forard to getting the drum repair, but am nervous about it. I have my pre op assesment tomo. yikes.

is there any cake in here? i need cake.

Fifi Good to see you.

Ouch to ear, does it hurt, I think ear/tooth ache has got to be the worst pain, I would give birth 3 times (actually I have!) than have ear ache.

fifilou · 05/09/2007 12:32

hello ladies......its been a while! hope you missed me lots!

ive been having a rotten old time healthwise, and been juggling hosptial visits with nanying the two wonderful b's that are now back at school.

My update-

no Af since june so had tests (all came back hormone levels fine) but my liver is in trouble due to long term antibiotics for my bad ear. doc worried so had more tests now waiting for results.

long story short- emergncy operation on ear 20th sept. hopefully will be ok, bit worried and scared but have faith in the wonderful surgeon! scary problems can arise, but am staying postitive for a good result.

doc thinks AF will return soon as been on pill for so many years (came off end may) and if not, am going for a scan to investigate. doesnt think its pos as hormone levels fine and not suggesting it.

hope youre all fine- its been ages! did you all have a good summer break? It flew by!

Shoshable · 05/09/2007 12:28

Morning all. Better frame of mind today. Lol at Shosha's herd stare. Croissant sounds good, so I'll help myself. Have a good day all

saltire · 05/09/2007 09:54

Well as long as it was the biscuits she ate and didn't touch Mo's bottle of malt hidden in the cistern - was it mean to be a secret- she can come in!

MaureenMLove · 05/09/2007 09:51

Saltire, MamaG is a high brow solicitor dont you know!Or summit along those lines anyway. She was very bad one night when we'd had all left the staff room and she found our secret stash of boose and weed in the plant pot!

As long as you behave yourself missy, you can come in. You must bring warm choccie cookies though! Kbear was moaning that she'd been banned last night and she wasn't even there! Guilt by association I think!

Earthymama · 05/09/2007 09:37

Hi guys! I'm popping on while waiting for mindee to arrive....always, always late but never let me know so I can go and put washing on line or Tidy upstairs...or anything. I know I should relax and have a cuppa but I get all het up!!

I've been so busy; my mother, who's 90 at the end of Sept, has been in hospital for most of the last 3 months with breathing disorder. She's home now, and we've moved her into a new flat with a bit more care.
I'm exhausted, really, truly tired to my bones.

I hope I can get a bit of normality back in my life now, upstairs of the house is a tip as I've just been running in, eating, sleeping, bathing (maybe!), keeping downstairs as mindee friendly as possible, and as soon as they've gone, running out again!!

Last night DP and I went out in the garden at about 10.30, lit some candles and incense, had a G&T, and relaxed for first time in ages. (that's a lie, we went to Glastonbury at Bank Hol for 2 days as I knew chaos would ensue for the rest of the time) Anyway, sitting out there looking at the stars and just forgetting about the washing, ironing, care plans, medication etc etc was a real blessing.

Sorry that was so long but everyone in RL is fed up of my moaning I'm sure. I don't know how people cope with dealing with being full time carers at all, I really admire them.

He's arrived, I'm off to the doctors to do something, I'm sure I'll remember what it is when I get there!!

KaySamuels · 05/09/2007 09:08

Morning!

I am off to docs today - have put this off so many times and wimped out, I can't do it today, need to go.

Last week mum of baby mindee's standing order went through at the old amount, and mum said would drop the difference off for me (£16.50) that day (Friday), didn't turn up, got a text apologising on Sunday night! Said would pay me on pick up Monday, then nanna picked up instead, mum said would pay me wed morning, not here!

I know it's not much difference but I am really struggling financially and am so stressed out at the mo. If it was any other parent I would have pressed them and had it by now but this mum is lovely, normally great with paying, really nice. I know I am gonna have to ask her to bring it round today whether she needs me to mind or not as I need it. Should have come at 7:30, went out to school and still no text or call now! Ho hum!
