Hi MK, no probs, ds needs to learn!! Glad I'm not the only toy addict too hehe, dh thinks I'm obsessed. It's not just toys though, it's everything....another poster for the playroom.....new highchair just because I want a NEW one........new pram because it's more comfy for new baby.......I MUST STOP!!!

Come to the staff room next week, sounds like there won't be many of us as a few going on hols - would be good to have someone else in here

Have a good weekend everyone!!

MaureenMLove · 17/08/2007 18:41

Hi MK, nice to meet you. Staff room is usually a bit dead at this time of night, especially a Friday! Come back again during the week, before 9 weekdays is usually busier. If you need any pointers in setting up, you know where we are!

mummykench · 17/08/2007 18:36

Ooh first time posting here how exciting! Don't really feel like I should do as I'm not minding yet, but I hope you'll let me. Met looneytunes this afternoon - had a lovely time. And she's a complete toy addict like me! Thanks for the tea... and sorry for losing your ball over the fence!

Hi fellow childcare workers! Can you tell I'm in a slightly better mood than I was this morning!

Well, DH has just phoned to say, someone has recovered ALL his paper work. He's collected it, its in a bit of a mess, but it all seems to be there. His diary, his customer contact details and everything! They've nicked his biros tho! The boss is relieved too, it means they don't have to report lost paper work to the next boss up, so DH struck whilst he was in a good mood and asked if he could have an order number for the wholesalers! Boss said, as long as you don't put a bill through for £400, I'm sure we could do something, yes!

So, things aren't as bleek as they were this morning.

Just come back from visiting my mindee who had a hip cast fitted on Monday. Bless her heart, she's 14 mths. She has a bright pink cast and seems happy. I've had a lesson in changing her nappy and it wasn't nearly as terrible as I thought it would be. She's only got to have it on for 6 weeks and I'm not getting her back for another 2, so I think I'll be OK.

PinkChick · 17/08/2007 16:01

aw, kay i missed that!..poor little thing, im sure mum will be fine just stressed and youve said you can help more than normal, so you could either ring and see how he is or wait for her to ring to see what he's doing.x

crace · 17/08/2007 16:00

Well, hello - am free already but had a fab day going to our village cafe with a little boy I watch adhoc and adore.

His mum did tell me though that the c/m that just opened up or reregistered or something in the village MAY have a bit of a bad reputation. She's calling a friend who mentioned to find out the specifics but I really want to know so I don't pass out her info to enquiries I have to turn down! How frightening

KaySamuels · 17/08/2007 14:32

I second looneytune's sentiments to you off on your holidays.
Still I have haven to look forward to next easter I suppose.

sigh

KaySamuels · 17/08/2007 14:31

Well I have had stressful day today following on from yesterday here

I text mum this morning to offer her my buggy to use while mindee has pot on, no reply, and just tried calling her at home, no reply. So either she is mad with me and ignoring me or still at hospital, either of which leave me feeling stressed out and worried. Have had to call my area co-ordinator, Ofsted CIE department, and have had to write out a full report and email it to them to read and get back to me.

looneytune · 17/08/2007 14:24

I know. I can't be bothered to get HQ to remove it, last time it took so long it wasn't a current thread anyway. Oh, baby woken up. See ya later

crace · 17/08/2007 14:23

Can you contact MN and ask them to remove the thread?

crace · 17/08/2007 14:23

LT, don't worry - none of us would! I don't know why we can't edit our posts though, most annoying!

looneytune · 17/08/2007 14:16

Oops, just realised I really shouldn't have posted that link, should have copied and pasted the write up - SH*T!!! Oh well, I hope none of you go ringing them or emailing them!!!

mumlove · 17/08/2007 14:13

Afternoon all, I am enjoying a lovely coffee while mindee is sleeping. We went to a park this morning then went to baiter (a grassy open area near the sea) to watch the red arrows that were flying at bournemouth. 1 came over us during their rountine and it was very noisy. The children loved it.
Well only 3 hours of work left.

looneytune · 17/08/2007 13:37

Hi everyone. Just wanted to say a quick hello and wish all those off on hols, a happy holiday! .

Well it's been a nice sunny day (well, cloudy too but hey this is England isn't it! ). Had an easy day with baby, ds been a good boy, he must be up to something!!! Had a nice walk and now just sat down for lunch. Baby having another nap, should be asleep til 2ish then gets picked up around 3pm then it's the weekend!!! Mummykench is coming round to meet us today so that should be nice.

Oh.....I just have to send this to you.....Saz73 noticed it and sent it to me on msn....it's an ad for a replacement au pair (for those who know the story), they'd begged her back (she sent me emails)....reading.gumtree.com/reading/34/12553634.html What do you think? They've made it look like not much work, either they will do the same again or they will actually do some work themselves. The breakfast bit is a lie though, ex au pair was told the same and then ended up doing full cooked breakfasts whilst sorting the kids.

Right, best eat my sandwich whilst I have the peace and quiet

nannynick · 17/08/2007 12:59

Well that's good to hear. Will explore mumsnet to the thread all about that.

MaureenMLove · 17/08/2007 12:49
