How mean of her

nally · 29/05/2007 14:23

Hola! All mindees are off this week. Only our dc and they are gorgeous. Half term week is going well so far

MaureenMLove · 29/05/2007 14:19

Have you been eating those mushrooms again! Strangly me & Kbear should be in the Highlands of Scotland this very week on holiday - but we're not. Instead I am surrounded by boxes and dust, since we are haivng our new extension plastered and Kbear has gone out with the family for some summer fun!

Mo I had a dream about you last night! Me, you and kbear went on holiday together with our families and stayed in attached log cabins wiht me in the middle!

you had just given birth to a baby boy called Skye (!) and he could walk (!!) and he got his leg stuck in some wood

You blamed me and went home

ScottishThistle · 29/05/2007 13:26

Lovemygirls, I'm a Nanny!

Earthymama · 29/05/2007 13:25

MML, it's post-horrid-weather-bank-holiday-blues, a recognized syndrome that you are sharing with most of the country!!

It wouldn't be so bad if it was still raining but when one of your days off was ruined by the weather you feel so resentful when you see the sun!!
Or just me!!
I've got 3 today and they are having lots of fun with cardboard boxes!!

MaureenMLove · 29/05/2007 13:14

Is it just me, or it today and really, really dull, can't get motivated for anything kind of day? I've got a mindee, but she's only 10mths, so its eat, change bum, sleep and that's about it. She's asleep again now and I've made lunch for dh and the builder (he's a friend, so I don't mind feeding him!) and I've got nothing else I can be doing.

LoveMyGirls · 29/05/2007 12:12

Meant to say ST - i think you should send ill child home - it's not fair, if you get all those symptoms

Julia5 - how shocking, good job you are all ok!

LoveMyGirls · 29/05/2007 12:10

((((((((((((((Katymac)))))))))))))

If there was anything you could do you wou ld have done it, don't feel bad it's not your fault.

ScottishThistle · 29/05/2007 11:56

Oh Katymac, sounds awful though at least they'll understand exactly why you're having t do it!

PinkChick · 29/05/2007 11:52

oh god thank god youre all ok!
Katy, i didnt realise you were quiet on child front?, sorry to hear you have to lay people off

julia5 · 29/05/2007 11:27

Aw Katy you must have cried buckets sweetheart. We are here if you want to vent

julia5 · 29/05/2007 11:25

pinkChick we went to Protarus, hotel was lovely, my boys learnt to snorkel in the warm Med, but..........we hired a car (LAndcruiser) to go up into the Troodos Mountains, breathtaking scenery, 2000 metres, hairpin bends, vertiginous drops, lovely unspoilt villages when............ bam stupid tourist driving on wrong side of road, spectacular head on collision. The other car was totalled, no one hurt fank gawd. Good job we were in a gigantic 4WD. So.....hours waiting at roadside for Police then eventually on our way again, with a broken numberplate our only damage. It was a bit orrible.

Katymac · 29/05/2007 11:18

It's been awful

Everyone is so upset

PinkChick · 29/05/2007 11:09

Julia% how was cyprus?, were abouts did you go again?

julia5 · 29/05/2007 10:51

Oh Katy it's hard isn't it. Come and have a hug let us know how it went x

Katymac · 29/05/2007 10:42

No children = no assistants

Very sad

I am gutted - I can't imagine how they are going to feel

ScottishThistle · 29/05/2007 10:41

Oh, who are you laying off & why Katymac???

Katymac · 29/05/2007 10:40

OK - I am about to ring and lay someone off

I feel like crap

Please be supportive

K

ScottishThistle · 29/05/2007 10:38

Oh no problem, Heather Cream's easy to come by but soor plooms are a bit more difficult to find these days (will do my best).

Anyone heading off to Belgium or France, I'd love some Raspberry Beer!

MaureenMLove · 29/05/2007 10:35

So, so Julia! I had a really bad cold and I had to make an effort all weekend as we were with another couple!
ST - Any chance of a bottle of Heather Cream instead of haggis! I'm usually in Glen Coe at this time of the year and I do love a drop of Heather Cream!

julia5 · 29/05/2007 10:28

Oooh haggis and could you bring some soor plooms too ST. No mindees today, just me and my boys.

ScottishThistle · 29/05/2007 10:27

Thanks for all the goodies!

I'll bring you some haggis back at the weekend!

julia5 · 29/05/2007 10:26

Morning all! Back from Cyprus, here's some Turkish Delight for you. Thanks for the rock Mo, did you have a good hol?
