Shosha, thanks, but all the upstairs carpets are being written off because they are old! And, we don't need to paint because it's more than four years since it was last done.

julie - going further than that, south coast. Very far away from grandparents, so a bit sad.

princesscc · 02/05/2007 12:09

Any flapjacks left or am I too late? I've had SUCH a tough morning! My internet connection crashed, I have to keep getting up to make more coffee - its hell here! My nice calm day, will come and slap me in the face after school though. 4 mindees 7, 8 and 2x 11 year olds! All boys. I can hear the football hitting the fence already! I do feel for my poor neighbour, the ball always goes his way, never the other. If it went the other way it would be fine as nextdoors kids are usually in the garden as well, but no, always the other way. I've told them, they are only allowed to knock on his door once and then its game over. Is that mean?

julia5 · 02/05/2007 12:06

Saltire it was both! My DP's family are very hot on all things scottish, and take great delight in confusing me with talk of doilies, messages and pieces tee hee. Plus DS1 was born on St Andrews Day so he has a homemade saltire in his bedroom bless. We are in rural gloucestershire, the poor part near Wales but according to Reader's Digest the 3rd best place to bring up children . Are you coming near here or further down? oooh gotta go wee one waking

Shoshable · 02/05/2007 11:59

Want to borrow my carpet cleaner Saltire .

Just about to put the girls to bed then going to do nothing for a hour, BLISS

julia, was it the name or the mention of har that gave it away?
You'd be surprised how many people don't know what the Saltire is. I live in Fife at the minute but am due a move soon, very far south

julia5 · 02/05/2007 11:52

Saltire I'm guessing you're Scottish? My DP is a Fifer. I love Wednesdays just me and the 1 mindee, we get to do loads of one-to-one (and he's still young enough to have a long morning nap )

julia5 · 02/05/2007 11:43

Why thank you Shoshable (simper)

saltire · 02/05/2007 11:37

I only have one today and he's having a sleep. We can actually see the sun today, yesterday was really cloudy and on Monday night the Har(harr) came in really thick so it was cold.
He and I are going to have a picnic in the garden, his mum has decided we are going cold turkey with the potty training - no nappies at all. He won't tell me when he needs to wee

Shoshable · 02/05/2007 11:35

By the way nice Flapjacks Julia

Weve been swimming, now going to make a picnic lunch and eat it in the garden, then Lo's to bed and a hour to myself before the school run! (I could quite get ued to this only three children ) but the new ones start in a month, so peace will be shattered again

MrsWeasley · 02/05/2007 10:55

unexpected morning off.... umm what shall I do ?

looneytune · 02/05/2007 10:43

mindees here now, house is noisey again off to garden to play with water table

princesscc · 02/05/2007 10:29

If you're bored you could always help me with this!

princesscc · 02/05/2007 10:27

My house is silent too. I can't decide what to do! Should I go and cut in a new flower bed, it doesn't need to be done, the garden is fine, but I feel I should be doing something other than scanning mn for an interesting convo and drinking coffee!

looneytune · 02/05/2007 10:09

bored, the house is silent

looneytune · 02/05/2007 10:07

I'm having another cuppa as mindees running late

princesscc · 02/05/2007 09:26

Gosh, is it break time already! [pcc flies in grabbing coffee & bickie on the way] How time flies!

Actually I'm as free as a bird until after school today, yipee! May have to lie in the garden all day though.

Fingers & toes crossed LMG.

dmo · 02/05/2007 09:19

Earthymama · 02/05/2007 08:47

Good luck LMG, I'm sure all will go well.
I'm eating strawberries and Rachel's organic yoghurt, (which is lovely; the strawbs wouldn't have lasted any longer
One mindee at nursery til 11.30. other being dropped off late today so I'm about to go and do an hour in the garden.
I should do some housework or ironing but thought as this is 'stolen' time I'd do something I enjoy!!

Shoshable · 02/05/2007 08:35

Great news LMG, (had to disappear and supervise 14 month old who wants to feed her weetabix to herself, and the walls, hair, floor anywhere really)

Off swimming this morning, so a nice start to the day, My 3 year old will be 4 tomorrow so we are off to a big park for a lunch party tomorrow.

LoveMyGirls · 02/05/2007 08:28

saltire · 02/05/2007 08:25

But if it means you don't need to work nights or weekends in a pub, then I'll cross them
