in lincolnshire we must be the poor relations of the childminding world ! i charge £2.60 p/hr, including drinks and snacks. for a full time place i would set a weekly fee that works out slightly less per hour than my ususal rate.

these are about average charges for cm's in my area, although i think most people i know would charge more for 'unsocial' hours - which would probably be after 6pm.

smeeinit · 07/02/2007 18:14

arr west london mogs, that explains it!!

mogs0 · 07/02/2007 18:14

Smeeinit- I'm in West London. A nanny would cost double that and a nanny share about the same as my rate.

badgerhead · 07/02/2007 16:04

I charge £4.20 per hour for less than 30 hours per week & £3.80 per hour for more than 30 hours per week. Average around here is £4 to £4.50 per hour, Horsham, West Sussex.

QueenEagle · 07/02/2007 14:45

Very lucky with my c/m who charges £3.50 for the 1st child, £3 for the 2nd. Shift pattern on a 4 week rota so some days they are there 4 days, some weeks only 2. Doesn't charge retainer for the days they are not there. Does charge for picking up late.

star1976 · 07/02/2007 14:43

I state £4.50 in my portfolio as my hourly rate, but am willing to negotiate down to as low as £3.50.
Current mindee pays £3.85 (which I was very pleased with).

I live near Bromley!

smeeinit · 07/02/2007 14:20

i charge £4.25 per hour.£3.75 per hour for siblings (full time only) thats in st albans.

blimey mogs where r u based? £5.50 p/h is good!!

mogs0 · 07/02/2007 13:56

I charge £5.50 p/h or £45 p/d. That includes all food and nappies.

Missgolightly- £60 is a lot, maybe I should re-think my rates!!

dmo · 07/02/2007 09:45

£3 per hour inc meals and snacks
or £20 per day 7.30am till 6pm after that £5 per hour

mykidzrmyworld · 06/02/2007 22:41

£3 an hr in south wales for f/t
£3.50 p/t

Jackmummy · 06/02/2007 22:15

Think it also depends on qualifications and experience of each individual childminder. Around here, SE London, prices range from £3.50 to £6 per hour.

cece · 06/02/2007 22:00
