My CM has found a lump in her breast which obviously she's worried sick about and has booked herself an appointment at a private hospital for Tuesday, she's told me this, not asked if it's ok iyswim. Now I know i'd be worried to death about finding a lump but I really cannot take this time off and DH would be unpaid which we can't afford. I don't want to sound like a heartless cow but she had Friday off at short notice for an uncles funeral and now this, would it be completely awful to ask her to rebook for Wednesday ?

I wish your CM all the best for tomorrow.

I'm glad it's been entertaining, it's caused me to feel like i don't want to say a word to somebody i've known for 2.5 years who is probably feeling very low right now and i'm tip toe ing around them feeling uncomfortable, but as long as it's entertained you that's the main thing.

As for a party, lets hope she's well enough and going out to celebrate not having cancer eh ?

oh, FAB! what entertainment, well done AC/troll (who may or may not hae one or three kids, a norland/ofsted registered nanny/childminder....

I LOVE how IMPOSSIBLE it was for dh to get a day off work at £750 a day; if £16,000 a month is what you HAVE to bring in, what are your outgoings?????

a fab example of how to whip up a frenzy about absolutely nothing, I love mn

Lots of people gave you helpful suggestions, but you had already made up your mind.

AngelaChill · 04/09/2006 18:09

Well for those who are interested DH has managed a day off much to my amazement so alls well that ends well.

I have also decided to give the nanny/cm notice asap as the thread has thrown up plenty of food for thought and tbh I was trying to do the wrong thing for me for the right reasons for other people and got myself into a stressful situation I just don't need.
Thanks to those who replied with helpful to suggestions.

so confused i posted twice

cleaninglady · 04/09/2006 15:01

i was reading in at her posts but kept quiet but mainly confused at her taking a full time job just to give a childminder a job? why on earth would someone leave their child with someone if they didnt have to just to give someone a job? [puzzled]

She does have posting history but I think she is still fairly "new".

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 04/09/2006 14:18

Oh, I've just read a little more and it seems like this is one of those pointless threads that gets people worked up and then you realise the person is ignoring advice or help or just a troll, goddam I hate them
