(Deep breath)

OH admitted to hospital Thursday - because I made him go!!!- with pneumonia, taken a turn for worse, not sure if he will pull through.....

Can't cope......

Managed to cancel 1 mindee for Monday, can't get hold of other parents and really not able to do face-to-face at the moment without turning into a puffa fish Sad. Feel really bad about cancelling but can't possibly look after LO when cant look after myself. Would it be wrong to send a family member round to tell them? Have arranged cover with another cm child knows and has been minded by before.

Christ I feel shite!

On top of all this DS is 6 this wk and might not get to see daddy......

Sorry all, but at least you cant here me crying SadSad, phonecalls tonight to friends have ended in floods.

Take good care of him - he will need a long convalescence

crace · 02/11/2010 21:21

What amazing amazing news!!! I hope dh goes from strength to strength. Good for you!

StarExpat · 02/11/2010 21:14

Oh fabulous news, underpaid! :) Thanks for coming back to let us know. What a relief!

underpaidandoverworked · 02/11/2010 21:11

He's finally responding to treatment, long way ahead but could have a lucid conversation with him today and he wasnt seeing little old ladies in the corner with warts on their face! Hmm

This is the first night I've come home and havent been planning a future without him.Family still battering my senses but really dont care as long as I get him home and can get him back to full strength!

Cant tell you how relieved I feel - am exhausted physically and mentally, but feel can at least start to get some normality into our life again.

You lot are amazing - always there when the support is needed. Virtual bottles of wine to each and every one of you - but only one each cos cant afford more than that Grinxxxx

MaudOHara · 01/11/2010 22:54

Glad to hear you're being so positive and that he's still hanging in there.

Try not to think about his birthday - take it one day at a time.

(((((hugs)))))

KatyMac · 01/11/2010 22:23

Sleeping in hosp is a real issue

He is holding his own, that is good

Thinking of you all

CarGirl · 01/11/2010 22:22

Hope tomorrow brings some improvements/test results and yes some sleep for him!

underpaidandoverworked · 01/11/2010 22:20

No change - though no worse so am trying to be positive. They now think he might have glandular fever as well and are running loads of tests next 24 hrs. Part of the problem is he cant sleep on the ward they have him on because of the other patients. They have some empty side rooms so might ask he can be moved into one of them so he can rest.

Had first tears off DS tonight and I havent told him yet that he wont be seeing daddy on his birthday on Friday Sad. At least I've stopped crying every time I speak to people - for now at least!

You have all given me so much advice, support and the biggest hugs - keep them coming, it means a lot! Smile

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2010 19:49

Hiya, been thinking of you and just wondered if there was any update. I really hope it's just a matter of time and then he suddenly improves very quickly xx

RosieGirl · 01/11/2010 12:19

You poor thing, lots of hugs, really hope he gets better.

thebody · 01/11/2010 11:25

just seen yout thread.. so very very sorry but pneumonia can be a long haul to deal with and it can take a while to see an improvment..

dont worry about his family, all raw at the monent and will sort itself out in time.. you are the one calling the shots, if they cant see 8 round a bed is silly then thats just ridiculous.. and the hospital staff should be intervening anyway... i always did..

hugs, love and thinking of you and ds xx
